Snow Much Fun Card!
hi!!
today I have this cute card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!
loooooove this guy! he looks like he's having a great time on the slopes!
I used the Moose Mountain stamp set for the image!! I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
the hills were created with the Land Border Dies to create the hills! the middle layer is vellum, and I love the combination of the vellum and white hills together!
the background was created by ink blending the Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Inks! once it was dry, I used white embossing paste and the Petite Snow Stencil!
be sure to check out the card on the Newton's Nook Designs blog, too!
enjoy!

Happy Together Layout
hello and happy Tuesday!
I just got back from having an AMAZING time at Creativation, and I am bursting with creativity and the urge to create!!
I haven't had the time to make a layout in forever, and so the first thing I did was make one for the new Altenew Sketch Challenge - my FAVORITE layout challenges!!!
I mean, what's not to love about the sketch!? I LOVE circular layouts like that, so it was a dream to create!
here's my layout!
love it?! I layouts aren't for everyone, but I do love scrapbooking just as much as card making, so I have to play along and share! (sorry!)
I used the Altenew 36 pan set of watercolors to create the background, first! soooo pretty! what's not to love about those colors!
I also used the Watercolor Stripes stencil with some white embossing paste for the background! LOVE that texture! oh, and did you see the stitching? watercolor + embossing paste + stitching = MY FAVORITE! lol!
I embellished, and created layers behind my photo with papers from and stickers and die cuts from BOTH scrapbook collections: Reflection and Our Family!
those wood veneer, origami humming birds are just TO DIE FOR! I used gesso and then watercolored on top of them too! ha!
so that's my layout!
be sure to check out the sketch and examples so you can play along, too! the more the merrier!!
enjoy!

Newton's Nook Designs January Release - It’s a Plan and Newton Makes a Plan + coordinating Dies
hello!
I am super in love with this release!
these sets are so FUN and dude...they're Newton's Nooks' very FIRST planner-aimed sets - It’s a Plan and Newton Makes a Plan + coordinating Dies!
you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on January 18th, right here!
my card combined BOTH new sets, in a fun way!!
I have future plans to use these sets in my planner, but in the meantime, I thought it would be FUN and exciting to make a birthday card with them!!
I used a circle to mask off an area, and then a ton OF Distress Inks to create the RAINBOW background.
then I used the fun words and stamped in the coordinating ink colors to create an unconventional birthday 'to do' list! ha!
the cute cats were colored with Zig Clea Color Real Brush Markers, and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
the sentiment was heat embossed in white, onto a strip of black cardstock.
Would you like to win the “Newton Makes Plans” or the “It’s a Plan” Stamp Set?
We will choose ONE lucky winner for each stamp set!

Create a Smile January 2019 Release!
wooooo!
it's time for the Create a Smile Stamps January release, and it's SOOOOO CUTE!!! there are dies, there are stamps and there is, of course, fun!!
I created two cards with some of the new products, and you're going to go all HEART EYES for the cards the rest of the team created!! be sure to check them out!
my first card uses the gorgeous new Fine Ferns stamp set!
I made a wreath with the long, solid images! I used Twisted Citron and Cracked Postachio Distress Oxide Inks to do the rock and roll technique! then I sprinkled in some of the smaller, solid leaf image in Cracked Pistachio and Lucky Clover!
the sentiment was created with the gorgeous letters from Lettering Alphas, that I heat embossed in gold onto some vellum, and then fussy cut out!
I also stitched along the wreath, and finished off the card with some gold glitter, enamel dots!
my next card uses the sweet, pretty and versatile, Birthday Cool Cuts!
yay, so fun!
I create some fun backgrounds with alcohol inks and then used the dies to die cut these fun words out! I stacked the die cuts to give it some height! and then combined phrases from Message in a Bottle and Mini Birthday - which is the PERFECT companion to this new die!
I also used Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Inks on top of a light grey cardstock, to create the background! so magical!
be sure to check out the Create a Smile Stamps blog and Facebook group for more details on this release!
enjoy!
