oh my guoache!

hello!
today I have a super punny card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog! 
the current challenge is all about having an extra bit of fun and creating a bingo to make a card! 

I decided to use the 2nd row down for my card!
Die Cuts-Bold Sentiment-Banner-Window-Grass

so fun!!!

I love the window element and how you can see through to the inside of the card! 
I started by doing a lot of die cutting!
I used the Mr Sun and Stitched Rainbow for the cute main elements!

I also added some shading with Distress Inks in coordinating colors
I used various colors from both the Schoolyard Pack of Cardstock and the Sherbet Pack of Cardstock.

I also used white cardstock to die cut out the grass with the Grassy Border.
I also die cut out the fun art accessories using the Art Supplies set.
I wanted to let the rainbow artist POP with the white and black of the front. 

I also used the biggest splatter of paint to use as the window of the card front!!
I love that the sub is peaking out over the arch of the rainbow! so fun!

the sentiment was a mix of die cuts using Henry's ABCs and heat embossing with the Harold's ABCs stamp set. 
then I used the Stitched Sentiment Banner to die cut it out!

inside the card, I create a fun scene FULL of color!!! 
for the background of the canvas, I used the Stratus Cloud Background Stencil and some Stencil Paste in White to create a beautiful sunny day!

I also used some more grass, this time in green! 
I love the fallen guoache paint tubes and brushes!! so fun!
I hope you like the card and the pun as much as I do! It makes me smile!

cherry blossom congratulations

hi there!
today I have this card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!

my bestie asked for a wedding card for a wedding she's going to, and since I didn't have any in my stash (it's not really my vibe...I don't think I'm the kind of crafter to make serious occasion cards! lol! I'm more of the funny, punny and cutesy kind! lol)

I started by stamping the images from the Cherry Blossoms stamp set. then I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color them in. I splattered some white acrylic ink on top. and once it was all dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. 

for the background, I used one of the arches from the new Arched Frames die set and some white woodgrain cardstock. I used foam tape to pop up the border and then added some texture with the Trailing Leaves Stencil and white embossing paste. 
I arranged the images around the arch and leaves, then splattered some black ink around the images, too.

I heat embossed the sentiment from Heartfelt Roses in black onto some vellum. and then used the Banner Trio Die Set. the card was finished off with some clear drops!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #231 - Bingo!

happy Monday!

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

any excuse to play with some Lawn Fawn stamps is a good excuse to play!

so fun!!
I created my card with a bingo across the top line!

I started by die cutting out the images!
I die cut out the pumpkins with the Build-A-Jack-O'-Lantern set, and the ghost using the Big Hugs Ghost set! I used colored cardstocks in Peach Cardstock, Cantelope Cardstock and Fake Tan Cardstock for the pumpkins. I also added a little but of shading with coordinating Distress Inks.
I finished off the pumpkins by giving them some adorable smiles instead of the traditional jack-o-lantern smiles from the Stitched Rainbow die set. my favorite paper is the Sparkle Cardstock - Pixie Dust which I used for the ghost.

I used Black Licorice Cardstock for the background. I die cut it using the Simple Stripes: Diagonal. then I added some Stencil Paste - Clear to every other stripe. I love the look of the alternating matte and glossy stripes in the background!
I also added some clouds with the Stratus Cloud Background Stencil and Stencil Paste - White to add even more interest and texture!

the sentiment from Booyah was heat embossed in black onto vellum. then I die cut that out with the middle banner from the Stitched Sentiment Banners.

purr-fectly autumn!

hello!
today I have a purr-fectly sweet and fun fall-themed card to share!
its' also up on the Newton's Nook blog, so be sure to check it out there, as well!

I started by die cutting out all of my images!
I used the Cat Builder Die Set and die cut my kitty from various greys in my stash. I also added a sweet little lilac collar! I even added a cute little circle of darker grey around one eye, one ear and two paws! love how you can customize this sweet guy!

next up, I die cut out a million leaves from the Autumn Leaves die set! lol! ok, not a million, but I went to town! I used lots of colors in various shades of pinks and yellows. then I added some shading to each leaf with coordinating Distress Ink colors. 

for the card, I used a warm greige colored cardstock. then I used the largest arch from the new Arched Frames Die Set. I popped up the outside with foam tape. then I layered the leaves around the arch and splattered some white acrylic ink around!

to finish off the card, I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto grey cardstock and then die cut it out with the banner from the A7 Frames & Banners die set.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #230 - Fairy Tale Magic

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

any excuse to use a Lawn Fawn critter is a win for me!

here we go!
I decided to go with unicorns, I couldn't stop myself! lol!

I started by stamping the images from Unicorn Picnic, A Little Sparkle and Special Delivery. then I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to watercolor in the images! once the images were dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out! I love how the green leaves and pink and red mushrooms really pop with the neutral background and squirrels!

for the background, I used some Lilac Cardstock. then I used Distress Oxide Inks in Seedless Preserves and Milled Lavendar along with the Cloudy Stencil to create the whimsical and cloud-filled background.
I popped up the unicorn images and sentiment strip with foam tape.

the sentiment is from Special Delivery and was heat embossed in white onto some Black Licorice Cardstock. then I trimmed it into a strip. I finished the card by heat embossing a bunch of the twinkle stars in white, and then splattering lots of Liquid Stardust around the twinkling stars.

gourd vibes only

hello there!
today I have this fun (and punny!) card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog! the current challenge is all about the awesome-ness of autumn, and this card fits right in with that theme!

I started by stamping the images from All the Grasses, Costume Party, Pick of the Patch Add-on, Fall Mice and You Autumn Know. then I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to watercolor in the images. once the images were all dry, I added some details with a white gel pen and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. I love the pink/orange/yellow color palette for fall! so warm and cozy!

I used a piece of Vanilla Malt Cardstock for the base. then I added a subtle tone-on-tone look by stamping the pumpkin from Costume Party and leaves from Fall Mice in Antique Linen randomly. then I also used the same ink color to splatter some ink on top. 
then I used piece of vellum on top to place my sentiment. 

and speaking of sentiment!!! lol! this cracked me up the entire time! I loooooove it! 
I die cut the letters from Henry's ABCs using No 2 Pencil Cardstock. and then I used Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink to add a little ombre look to the sentiment. 
the pumpkins and mice were popped up with foam tape for some added dimension. 

love how this card came out!

my first card uses the new Halloween Accessories Die set with the adorable Dog Builder Die Set!

I started by die cutting all of the pieces!! I used various browns and greys and beiges for the dogs and oranges for the pumpkins. then I used coordinating Distress Inks to add some shading! 

then I die cut out the moon and clouds from using the Spooky Sky Die Set. 
for the background, I used some dark teal cardstock and did ink blending towards the top of the paper with Distress Inks in Uncharted Mariner and Black Soot. 

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock and then popped up with foam tape. the sentiment is from Ghostly Good Times.

my 2nd card uses the new Halloween Greetings and Spiderwebs Die Sets! 

 

the spiderwebs were die cut from a soft silver glitter cardstock. then I due cut out the sentiment from black cardstock and backed it with a layer of vellym! so fun! the spider was also die cut from black cardstock, and then I added a layer of glossy accents to make it shiny.

for the background of the card, I did some ink blending with Black Soot on a dark grey cardstock. then I did some ink smooshing with Black Soot on top of that and splattered a little bit of black ink all over, too! LOVE the background!

I love how halloween-ish this card is!

my first card uses the new Autumn Cats and Autumn Dogs stamp sets!

I started by stamping the image and then coloring it in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I used the coordianting dies to die cut them out, and then added some details with a white gel pen! then I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.

I used Distress Inks to in blend some white cardstock, and then I used the same colors (Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron and Pine Needles) to then add a watercolor look on top of the ink blending.
then I used the Postage Stamp Layout Die to die cut them.

I love the pops of red against the greens, so much!
I also used images from Fall Harvest and Autumn Apples to complete the fall/apply scene!

my 2nd card uses the new Autumn Dogs, Autumn Leaves Paper Pack and Torn Edge Drames Die Set!

I added the Autumn Dogs around the frame from Frames & Tags Die Set which was die cut from the Autumn Leaves Paper Pack. the background of the card also is from the new papers! 

then I die cut a panel of vellum with the Torn Edge Frames die set and placed it behind the frame and popped it up with foam tape.
I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto some peach cardstock, then I die cut it out, also using the Torn Edge Frames die. 

I love the pinks, oranges and yellows for fall!

today I have a FUN and interactive card up on the Lawn Fawn blog!
and bonus fun, I made a video for this card!

so fun, right?
I started by stamping the images from I Like Cute Moths. then I watercolored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once all of the images were dry I added some details with a white gel pen and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. pink and purple and coral moths? what's not to love! lol

for the actual card, I used the Ta-Da! Diorama! dies to die cut out the pieces from white cardstock. I also used the base of the card and some Let It Shine Starry Skies beige and gold cardstock. I did lots of ink blending on the white cardstock panels. I wanted to create the look from light in the back of the card to darker in the front!
I used Antique Linen, Dried Marigold, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves and Dusty Concord. I really love the look of beige to purple, especially for fall! 
then I splattered some tiny stars with white acrylic ink and Liquid Stardust onto all of the panels. 

I also ink blended the same colors for the hills of the card. 
oh! and I forgot to mention, I also used one of the dens for the opening of the card from Stitched Dens. 

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock. then I die cut it out with the middle banner from the Stitched Sentiment Banners. 
then I sprinkled those little yellow stars all of the outside and inside of the card!

I added the entire thing to another piece of cardstock from the Let It Shine Starry Skies cardstock to finish it off.
