i made a BUNCH of cards for this event!
my first set of cards features the ADORABLE bee image from Pretty Pink Posh's Bee Friends stamp set! 

i colored the bees with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, then fussy cut them out! I used the awesome Lawn Fawn Snow Backdrop Die plate and the Grassy Border die to create the scene! 
I used a striped stencil and some grey mist to create the background! 
my next set of cards also used the bees from the Bee Friends stamp set!

i used some Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink to create a watercolor look, and then some coordinating sequins to add a little bling! :)
my last set of cards feature images from the Newton's Nook Cottage Garden stamp set, as well as the little bee from Lawn Fawn's Let's Play!

i used Distress Oxide inks and did some light ink blending and masking. then i stamped the floral images over the blending! love how clean and pretty that looks!

the sentiment is from Simply Sentimental!

i'm a little late today, but i have a sneak of a card that's up on the Create a Smile Stamps blog today!

hi hi hi!
today i have this fun layout up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog! 

i used the new Newton Dreams of Italy stamp set because...well...that spaghetti image was just TOO MUCH like my littlest little Mann when he eats spaghetti! ha!

i colored the Newton image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut it out! i used the 'amore' phrase from the set to stamp in the background around the mixed media business! ha! i used a little gesso on the paper, then my Distress Crayons to create the smudgy color behind the cluster and photo! 

i stitched on the title, and around the cluster at the bottom of the page, then embellished!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #5 - Mood Board

yahooo! it's time for the NEWEST challenge from the Lawn Fawnatics!!!

i'm still SO excited about this newest challenge on the block! SO SO SO excited!
this challenge is so springy and so fun! 

isn't that such a wonderful mood board! the colors are awesome! the images are adorable!!! swoon - i can't wait to see what everyone makes! 

I couldn't stop looking at those adorable kittens in the photo, so that's where i started with my card! i used the SWEET and cute new kitties from Meow You Doin' and colored them in with some Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! 

on a separate piece of cardstock, I did lots of messy watercoloring in varying shades of greens, and then die cut a BUNCH of small leaves from the Stitched Leaves die set! I made a big stack of them on the card, and then arranged the cat image to look like he was having a ball and batting at the leaves! 

love it!!
the sentiment was heat embossed and popped up on some black cardstock! oh! and the background was created with a stencil and some blank ink for the polka dots! a little Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink blending was added on top, along with some sequins! so fun!

Inky Paws Challenge #47 - Color Challenge

hello again!
today is the start of a new IPC! 
the Inky Paws Challenge has moved to it's own blog!! yay!! you can find it here! :)

this time, we have a color challenge to jumpstartyour creativity! 

i have SO much fun making this card! and those colors, swoon! so amazing!!

I die cut lots of the hibiscus images from the Hibiscus Die set, and then colored them with Distress Inks and Distress Oxide Inks! They came out SO vibrant, and they're just so much fun!
I used Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and did some blending on the white cardstock behind the flowers!

for the leaves, i used a stencil and some black ink to create the polka dotted effect! i LOOOOOVE the polka dots with the bright colors! and the sentiment is from the Dog Days of Summer stamp set! LOVE that set!! seeing it for this sentiment reminded me that I want to use it more! and it's just in time for summer! yahoo!

Newton's Nook Designs May Release - Newton Scoots By + Coordinating Die

hello!
we made it! the last day of Newton's Nook Designs May release!!

this month's release is amazing, fun and SO CUTE!
today the whole team is showing off the Newton Scoots By + Coordinating Die! you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on May 12th, right here!
this set was MADE for my bestie!!!!! she's going to be getting ALL THE CARDS! ha ha! 

this set just SCREAMED for a slider card!!! ha!!

i colored all of the images for both cards with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, then die cut them out!

i LOVE a yellow scooter, how about you?! ha!

then i used the Land Border Dies set to create the hills that Newton is scooting on!

the background was created with LOTS of messy Distress Ink watercoloring! 

i heat embossed the sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock, and then popped up a few of the clouds, too! LOOOOOVE this card in action! :)

my 2nd card, sadly, doesn't not actually, 'scoot'. ha ha! but it's still adorable!

i used some Distress Inks to create a little scene - and then stenciled with those same colors over my ink blending! 

the grass used Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron, and the sunset sky used Worn Lipstock and Squeezed Lemonade! :)

the sentiment was heat embossed in black, and then i added some shiny, sparkly clear sequins to finish off the card!

Newton's Nook Designs May Release - Newton Dreams of Italy + Coordinating Die

it's day 2 of Newton's Nook Designs May release!!

this month's release is amazing, fun and SO CUTE!
today the whole team is showing off the Newton Dreams of Italy + Coordinating Die! you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on May 12th, right here!
i looooooooved making these cards - and if i didn't want to go to Italy before (which i DID!) then i reaaaaaally do now! ha!

my first card uses all of the iconic 'italian' building images included in the set!

i colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut them out! 

the sentiment was heat embossed in white, and i just LOVE the script!

I used Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio Distress inks to create that soft and pretty background! i stamped that pretty heart  multiple times down the side of the card, too!

i LOVE that little gondola Newton! so i used him on my 2nd card!

after i colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, I die cut it out, and then created the background of the card! I smooshed Distress Inks onto my rectangle acrylic block (Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron), spritzed with water and pressed it onto my card front!

i heat embossed the sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock, then made a little fishtail banner edge!

Newton's Nook Designs May Release - Winston’s Tee Time + Coordinating Die

today kicks off the Newton's Nook Designs May release!!

this month's release is amazing, fun and SO CUTE!
today the whole team is showing off the Winston’s Tee Time + Coordinating Die! you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on May 12th, right here!
I am going to making a bunch of Father's Day cards with these!! they're perfect!

ack! i loved making these cards!!

and when I saw Winston tee-ing off, i KNEW i had to use an action wobbler! 

oh yeah!! see?! he's swinging at the ball!! ha!! so fun!

i colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then die cut them out. The background was created by blending Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron Distress Inks, then sprinkling some water on top!

i heat embossed the sentiment onto black and then added that awesome Winston image with the action wobbler!

my 2nd card is just FUN!

i used the smaller images and stamped then in grey on the background of the card. i also used the beer image from the Winston's BBQ stamp set! then i added some grey watercolor smooooshes on top!

again, the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! i popped up the image and the sentiment strip and that's the card! i really CAN'T WAIT to give it to my Dad!!
