Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #228 - Woodland Wonder

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

any excuse to use a Lawn Fawn critter is a win for me!

here we go!
I decided to go with a lot of pops of color!

I started by stamping the images from To My Fungi, Oh Gnome!, Let's Go Nuts and A Bug Deal. then I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to watercolor in the images! once the images were dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out! I love how the green leaves and pink and red mushrooms really pop with the neutral background and squirrels!

for the background, I used the Birch Tree Stencils and Distress Oxide Inks in Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain. then I used the Bee Happy Background Stencils and some white embossing paste to add a windy looking texture to the fall scene!

I attached all of the images directly to the card. but I did use foam tape to pop up the squirrel images and the sentiment! the sentiment is also from Oh Gnome! and was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock. then i trimmed it down into a small banner.

today I have a fun card up on the Lawn Fawnatics challenge blog!
the current challenge is all about fun with food - and I had a BLAST making this card!

I started by stamping the images from Be Hap-pea and colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. but instead of coloring them green to be peas (as intended), I colored them in warm reds to be cherries!! so fun! once the images were dry, I used a white gel pen to add some extra details and then die cut them out.

I also stamped a bunch of balloon strings from the Really High Five stamp set and die cut them out, to be the cherry stems! I thought that was a fun idea to try out!
I used Distress Inks in Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron for the background. I ink blended the colors with the darkest shade on the outside and lightest in the middle. then I used the same ink colors and added some of the it with watercolor and a piece of clear packaging to get the watercolored look. and once it was dry, I went over it all again with ink blending to get the super saturated look!

to create the sentiment, I die cut out the 'cherry' letters using Henry's ABC's and some Peach Cardstock, then used a little Abandoned Coral Distress Ink to add some ombre colors.
the rest of the sentiment was stamp and heat embossed in white from the Fairy Friends stamp set. the letters and the sentiment strips were popped up with foam tape and everything else was attached directly to the card.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #226 - Back to School Inspiration Board

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

this is a bittersweet back to school season for me, so I was extra happy to work things out while making this fun card for my bestie (who's a teacher!)

here we go!

I started by stamping the images from Fruitful Friends, Little Woodland Library, Little Woodland Library Friends, Little Woodland Library Add-on and Simply Celebrate Graduation. then I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color them in. I added some details with a white gel pen, and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. 

in a shocking change of events, I kept the background simple with a piece of patterned paper from the Really Rainbow Petite Paper Pack. I love how it has that school paper look!
I also used one the paper clip dies from Paper Clips and die cut it out with some metallic silver cardstock - such a fun, unique touch to the back to school theme!

I had so much fun adding the cute bookworms to the card - I especially love the one buddies at the bottom of the card! they're so cute! and the reds and greens together really pop!
I finished the card off by heat embossing the sentiment in white on the chalkboard to make it look like a classroom!

you have a pizza my heart!

today I have this fun, yummy!, card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!

so fun!
I made this card for my son - who's away at college for the summer for the FIRST TIME, and I'm having a hard time with him not at home - so I'm sending lots of cards! lol
I started by stamping the images from Newton's Thanksgiving and Newton Loves Pizza and coloring them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
I also added some details with a white gel pen once everything was dry.

I used some paper from the Black & White Basics Paper Pad that reminded me of a vintage pizza restaurant! then I used the Card 4 Layout Die Set to die cut it out.
it adds such a fun look!
I die cut out the banner using the Banner Trio Die Set and then heat embossed the sentiment from Newton Loves Pizza Stamp Set in black.

I finished off the card by sprinkling on a few red sequins (or pepperonis!!) ha!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #225 - Let's Go Wild

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

any excuse to play with some Lawn Fawn critters is a good excuse!

so fun!!
I haven't made a card with these cute froggos in a while, so I decided to color them up!

I started by stamping the images from Toadally Awesome and All the Grasses. then I colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I added some details with a white gel pen. then once everything was dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. 

I did lots of ink blending for the background! 

first, I used the Stitched Pond and die cut out the shape from some white cardstock.  I used Distress Oxide Inks in Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron. then I added some foam tape behind them to pop them up.
I used Distress Oxide Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina for the pond itself.

then, I finished by heat embossing the sentiment in white onto some Black Licorice Cardstock. I popped it up with foam tape, as well as the frog in the pond and the lily pad flowers.
so sweet!

hello again!
today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook blog, and it's giving off some soft, tropical, summery vibes!

love it!
and it's so happy and fun!
I started by stamping the images from Cocktail Mixer and Newton’s Happy Meowr and then coloring the images in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I love how those two sets go together! I decided to color the images in a rainbow theme, which is totally my jam! ha! I added some details with a white gel pen and then die cut everything out with the coordinating dies one everything was dry.

for the background, I used some light grey cardstock and then the Hibiscus Stencil Set with white embossing paste to add some texture! And the difference between the cardstock and the paste is the perfect amount of subtle.
then I die cut out the frame from white cardstock using the Frames & Tags Die Set and popped it up with foam tape to frame everything. LOVE this die set!

I heat embossed the sentiment in the top left corner by combining phrases from both of the stamp sets!
I just love that they worked so seamlessly to create the fun punny sentiment!

today I have this fun, floral card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!

I just love these bright colors, and beautiful flowers!
so fun, right?
I stamped the images from Newton’s Blooms Stamp Set and Dainty Daisies Stamp Set and then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I really wanted to make the card POP with all of the flowers! I added some details with a white gel pen. once everything was dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!

for the background, I used some white cardstock and did some ink blending with Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Inks. I also die cut out the frame using the Card Layout 3 Die Set from white cardstock. I popped it up with foam tape, and then placed the images on top!

I finished off the card by adding a few sequins to the flowers. I also heat embossed the sentiment in white onto black cardstock, and then trimmed it into a banner shape. the sentiment itself is also from the Dainty Daisies Stamp Set.
