hello!
today I am super excited to share that I have this FUN, summery and interactive card up on the Lawn Fawn blog!
and, like I am prone to do...I have a video to go along with it! yay!

I thought it would be a cute idea to make the giant lemons selling the lemonade to the mice! and when you peek behind the lemonade stand, there's a little mouse getting a peek at another sweet, giant lemon! ha!
I started by stamping the images from Make Lemonade!, You're the Zest and All the Clouds. then I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and colored them in! once they were dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out, and then added some details with a white gel pen.
I also splattered some white acrylic ink on top of the clouds - for just a little bit of texture!

I love the Knock, Knock, Who's There? interactive die set, and I thought it would be so fun to have a sneaky little surprise behind the lemonade stand! lol
I started to create the scene by using white cardstock and die cutting out the grass and hill with Grassy Border and Stitched Hillside Borders. then I used Distress Oxide Inks in Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron. I also made a set of the same borders and the same inkblending to go behind the lemonade stand, when you open the 'door!'

then I used a white cardstock base, and folded it in half, as you would a card base. I used Distress Oxide Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina. then I flipped the card base over and did a little ink blending where the door would open, as well. I also used the lighter colors to match the pull tab mechanism when you open the door.

I almost forgot to add the sentiment, I was having so much fun making the card!! but I finally heat embossed the sentiment in white onto some Black Licorice Cardstock and then trimmed it into a banner and popped it up with foam tape.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #225 - Let's Go Wild

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

any excuse to play with some Lawn Fawn critters is a good excuse!

so fun!!
I haven't made a card with these cute froggos in a while, so I decided to color them up!

I started by stamping the images from Toadally Awesome and All the Grasses. then I colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I added some details with a white gel pen. then once everything was dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. 

I did lots of ink blending for the background! 

first, I used the Stitched Pond and die cut out the shape from some white cardstock.  I used Distress Oxide Inks in Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron. then I added some foam tape behind them to pop them up.
I used Distress Oxide Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina for the pond itself.

then, I finished by heat embossing the sentiment in white onto some Black Licorice Cardstock. I popped it up with foam tape, as well as the frog in the pond and the lily pad flowers.
so sweet!

Newton’s Nook Designs 13th Birthday Celebration!

today is a BIG day!

and sooooo versatile!

I had SO MUCH fun making this cute card!! it's the sweetest image!

I started by stamping the image and then coloring it in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I used the coordianting dies to die cut them out, and then added some details with a white gel pen! I love making the stars encircle the hoop - it helps give it movement, I think!

I used Distress Oxide Inks in Fossilized Amber, Antique Linen and Squeezed Lemonade for the background. then I used the Sunscape Stencil and the same colors, but with more pressure added, to create the tone on tone look!
I then used the some white embossing paste and the Cascading Stars Stencil to add enen MORE texture!

I popped up newton onto a circle from the Circle Frames Die Set from vellum. then I backed the card front with a paper from the Black & White Basics Paper Pack.
the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto some grey cardstock and then die cut with a banner from the Banner Trio Die Set.

hopefully you're having a happy day! 
today I have this fun summery card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

the current challenge is all about those summer vibes!
I am in love with the cute food people in the Summer Friends stamp set!
I stamped the images and then used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color them in. I also added some details with a white gel pen. once everything was dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.

I used Distress Inks to add color for the sky with Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina. then I used the Sunray Background Stencil with the same colors to make the fun sunny look.
I also used Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber for the beach. I die cut out the shore with white cardstock and the Stitched Hillside Borders. I also splattered the ink same ink colors and some white acrylic ink to make it look super sandy!

I die cut out a bunch of palm trees from the Hammock and Trees die set and added color with Distress Inks, too! I used the same colors for the shore, for the tree. then I used Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron for the palms themselves.

LOVE how fun and summery this card is! I finished off the card by heat embossing the sentiment in white onto some Black Licorice Cardstock and then trimming it into a banner.

it's happy meowr somewhere!

hello again!
today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook blog, and it's giving off some soft, tropical, summery vibes!

love it!
and it's so happy and fun!
I started by stamping the images from Cocktail Mixer and Newton’s Happy Meowr and then coloring the images in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I love how those two sets go together! I decided to color the images in a rainbow theme, which is totally my jam! ha! I added some details with a white gel pen and then die cut everything out with the coordinating dies one everything was dry.

for the background, I used some light grey cardstock and then the Hibiscus Stencil Set with white embossing paste to add some texture! And the difference between the cardstock and the paste is the perfect amount of subtle.
then I die cut out the frame from white cardstock using the Frames & Tags Die Set and popped it up with foam tape to frame everything. LOVE this die set!

I heat embossed the sentiment in the top left corner by combining phrases from both of the stamp sets!
I just love that they worked so seamlessly to create the fun punny sentiment!

cow are ya doing?!

what a happy day today is - I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog using some of the new products!
and BONUS, I made a video to go along with it!

I think we've all been begging for some highland cow images from Lawn Fawn, and these are even cuter than I could have imagined!
I started my card today NOT by coloring in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers like I usually do, but by coloring in the images with Distress Inks and the coordinating coloring stencils!

below are the colors I used for the images:
cows - Antique Linen, Fossilized Amber, Vintage Photo, Lost Shadow
flowers - Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron, Milled Lavender, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet

I also used Milled Lavender, Seedless Preserves and Wilted Violet for the speech bubble which is from the Summer Friends stamp set.

I always LOVE how fast and easy adding colors to the images with the coloring stencils are! once the images were all colored, I finished the images with some details in a white gel pen.
then I used the coordinating dies to die cut out MOST of the images.
the two remaining images were then die cut out with the Magic Picture Changer dies.

I used some masks that I created for the cows and then did ink blending around the images to create the background!
I used the same Distress Ink colors for the rest of the backgound of the card including the Magic Picture Changer Add-on, Stitched Hillside Borders and Grassy Border dies in Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, Pine Needles, Twisted Citron and Squeezed Lemonade.
I also used Mustard Seed for the pull tab.

once the Magic Picture Changer mechanism was created I attached it to the card by popping it up with foam tape.
the rest of the images were attached directly to the background with glue.
I finished off the card by heat embossing the sentiment in white onto Black Licorice cardstock.

I super love how this card came out, and hopefully it made you smile, too!

geometric cherry blossoms!

hello!
today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook blog and it's so fun and happy!

I love it!
I love the rainbow colors and the pop of black with the floral images!
I started by die cutting a bunch of hexagons with the Hexagons dies. then I used a rainbow variety of Distress Inks and did lots of ink blending! once I was done, I finished by splattering some white acrylic ink on top!

I attached the hexagons to the card front, some were popped up, but only a few.
then I used the image from the Cherry Blossoms and heat embossed them in black onto acetate! so FUN, right?! I love that it lets the pretty rainbow colors shine through, but you also get the bold images of the flowers!

I finished off the card by heat embossing the sentiment from the Heartfelt Butterflies stamp set in white onto black cardstock. then I used the A7 Frames & Banners die set to die cut out the sentiment.

hang ten! over the rainbow!

today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog and I'm so excited to take part in sharing the FUN of this new Over the Rainbow die!

I really had a BLAST making this! it's so easy! and I have SOOOOO many more ideas!!

instead of making an actual rainbow, I made a wave for this little surfer!
I stamped the images from Mermaid for You, Beachy Christmas and On the Beach.
I did some frankenstein-ing and combined the top half of the mer-man with the bottom half of santa! lol!
all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out with the coordinating dies!
isn't that little mermaid girl watching on the shore adorable too! ha! I tried to make her scales (?!) sparkle with some details of a white gel pen.

the background was created by using Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina for the water. then I used Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber for the shore. I splattered the ink colors and white acrylic ink onto the shore to five it the sandy texture. then I used some white gesso paint to add the foamy look to the water.

I did that same background three times: once for the card front, once for the pull tab under the ocean wave and once for the scene under the waves! so fun! and definitely inky!

and speaking of the ocean wave...I die cut out the Over the Rainbow from acetate!!! then I used alcohol ink to add the colors! SOOOOOO fun!! SOOOOOOO unique (I think! ha!).

I stamped the images from the new Newton's Tape Mix and Puppy's Tape Mix and then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I added some details with a white gel pen and then die cut them out with the coordinating dies! I love them! they're so sweet and fun!

for the background, I used the Sunscape Stencil and Distress Oxide Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina. I also used the new Music Notes Stencil and some white embossing paste for some texture!
once it was all dry, I used the new Card Layout 7 Die to die cut it out, and popped up the frame!

the sentiment was heat embossed from the new Party On! stamp set, in white and then die cut out with the banner from the A7 Frames & Banners die set.
