tides of love!

hi there!
today I have a sweet and silly card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!

I love it!
I used the adorable Tides of Love Stamp Set and colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
I even resisted coloring the turtles in rainbow colors - but it was hard!! I do like how these came out though!
I added some details with a white gel pen once they were die cut out.

I used Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina to color the ocean. and then Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber for the sandy bottom! then I splattered some white acrylic ink and the same ink colors to add the texture!
then I used the Sunscape Stencil and some white embossing paste to add the sunny texture to the ocean!

the whole background was then die cut out with the Frames & Flags Die Set
I heat embossed the sentiment onto black cardstock and then die cut it out with the banner from the same set!
I finished the card off by adding some clear gems.

it's a love emergency!

hi again!
I'm just popping in to share this cute Valentine's Day themed card using all Newton's Nook products!

I had so much fun coloring these cute little emergency vehicles from Love Emergency.
I definitely used all the shades of pinks and reds that I had! I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then once they were dry added some details with a white gel pen and then die cut them out.

I also die cut out some vellum using the Slimline Frames & Windows dies and Land Borders Die Set! the square frames are from the same set.
and then the scalloped frame is from the Slimline Frames & Portholes! I used Black Soot Distress Inks and one of the stencils from the Argyle Stencil Set. then used some translucent embossing paste over the Black Soot to add texture.

today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog and it's all in the theme of Lots of Hearts - the current challenge!
my card fits right in!

I love it!
I stamped the images from Porcu-pine for You and then colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once they were dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.
I also added some details with a white gel pen to make them more unique!

I die cut out a heart with the Outside In Stitched Heart Stackables and then used Distress Inks to ink blend! I used Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron.
I used the darkest colors from the bottom to the top. then I splattered some of the same colors and white acrylic ink on top too.

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto vellum and then used the Fancy Wavy Banners to die cut them out.
I used some Fog Cardstock and then the Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop to add some subtle texture in the background of the card.
I love how that green pops!!

heartfelt roses and thanks!

hello!
today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog! and hopefully it will start your week off on the right foot!
I used the beautiful, Heartfelt Roses Stamp Set for my card! I heat embossed the image onto white cardstock and then used Distress Inks to ink blend around it.

I used Chipped Sapphire, Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberries and Dried Marigold Distress Inks to add the color. then I die cut it out with the Heart Frames Die Set. then I die cut out some butterflies using the Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set and stitched them on with my sewing machine! I love the dimension those butterflies add to the card.
and, I even resisted splattering any water or white acrylic ink on top! lol!

for the cardbase, I used some dark green cardstock and Black Soot Distress Ink to add some darkness around the edges. then I used some white embossing paste and the Trailing Leaves Stencil to add some texture!

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto black cardstock. then I used the Banner Trio Die Set to die cut out the sentiment!

I love how this came out - and the colors are super unique to me!

flippy flappy hedgehogs!

I'm so happy to be sharing my card that's up on the Lawn Fawn blog! and bonus - I made a video you can watch too! you can watch it here, or on my youtube channel!

I have been so inspired by all of the heart-themed projects lately, that I kept that ball rolling and made an interactive heart-themed card, too!

so fun and cute!
all images were stamped and then colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
I also added some details to each image with a white gel pen. I used images from Yappy Birthday Add-On, Elephant Parade Add-On, Porcu-pine for You Add-On and Porcu-pine for You.

I die cut out the "so mush" letters with white cardstock and the Henry's ABCs dies. then I used Chipped Sapphire, Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold and Tattered Rose to add some color.
I used those same colors to ink blend on the card front. then I splattered some water and white acrylic ink on top of everything!

Once it was all dry, I started to create the interactive part of the card with the Flippy Flappy die set! I used the pull tab and the same Distress Oxide Inks to carry the scene out as you pull the tab. (I also splattered water and white acrylic ink on top, too).

I used the rectangle from the Flippy Flappy die set and die cut it out with acetate so it looks like the little porcupine, grass and mushroom are magically appearing on the card front!
I popped up the porcupines and a few mushrooms onto the card front itself, and that's the card!

Lawn Fawn - Lots of Hearts Week

I'm so excited to share the fun with Lawn Fawn's Lots of Hearts week!

anytime I can create a card with Lawn Fawn critters, is a good time!
for my card today, I used a bunch of cute elephants! love them!

I stamped all of the images from Elephant Parade, Elephant Parade Add-on and Fly High and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once they were dry, I added some details with a white gel pen and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.

I used the warm pinks from the Spiffier Speckles 6x6 paper pad to die cut out the platform from Platform Pop-Up die set. then I used Abandoned Coral and Dried Marigold Distress Inks to ink blend along the perimeter of the platform! I also splattered some of the colors on top, too! ALL THE SPRINKLES! lol!

once the platform was created, I die cut some grass borders and then used Picked Raspberry to add some ink blending, and then placed the elephants all along the front and back! I also sprinkled in a few little mice, too!
I love that the balloons make your eye go up the card!
lastly, I heat embossed the sentiment from Simply Celebrate Hearts in white onto Black Licorice cardstock.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #165 - Lots of Heart

I love heart themed cards!

 

 

I used the Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop on white cardstock and then used Distress Inks in Chipped Sapphire, Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn to add color to the background.
I also splattered on some of the same colors, as well as white acrylic ink.

 

I stamped the images from Wood You Be Mine? and then colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.
I used the grass and cattail images from Swan Soiree and Toadally Awesome to add interest to the scene. I also added that adorable snail from the new Porcu-pine For You set!

 

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto vellum and then die cut out with the Fancy Wavy Banners.

today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog and I can't lie...I'm starting to get into that love feeling!
and today's card starts it all!

I love how this came out! I almost forgot how cute those little piglets are!
I stamped and colored those cute critters from the Oink stamp set. and instead of coloring them in the traditional pinks, I went with blacks and white! so fun! then I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.

for the background, I used Distress Inks in Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron to ink blend the whole background. then, using the Hills & Grass Stencil I used the same colors, but with more pressure to create the dimension! then I couldn't resist splattering a little water on top!

I was inspired by the sentiment that came in the set, but instead of stamping it, I used it as a platform to create this large sentiment! I used the Essential Alphabet dies to create the sentiment and then backed it with black cardstock so it pops!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #164 - Let's Celebrate

I had so much fun making this sweet, baby-themed and shaped card!

 

One of my favorite older sets is Plus One!
It was one of my first Lawn Fawn sets, and the images are SOOOO cute and sweet and perfect for welcoming a new baby! I used the cute umbrella - which I LOOOOOVE and use for non-baby themed cards too! 

 

the images were colored them in various shades of pinks and reds with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. 
I added some details with a white gel pen, too. then I fussy cut them out.

I die cut out a bunch of clouds with the Stitched Cloud Frames and Outside in Stitched Cloud Stackables! I used Distress Oxide Inks in Black Soot and Lost Shadow to add some color and texture to the white cardstock. Then I splatted some white acrylic ink on top! 


 

I popped up the small clouds and the umbrella images with foram tape. and then I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto some black cardstock that I trimmed into a banner shape!
