Reveal Wheel Bird Feeder Card

hi there!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog!
it's so fun and uses the new Backyard Bird Feeder and Backyard Bird Feeder Add-on along with the Reveal Wheel dies!

I stamped and colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
then I added some details with a white gel pen and used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. those birds are so cute and I love the feeder images!

next, I die cut out the reveal wheel parts and did lots of ink blending. I used Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Salvaged Patina, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron for the background. I also die cut out the frame from the Reveal Wheel Arc Frame Add On and ink blended that in Wilted Violet and Blueprint Sketch too.

I used the Reveal Wheel Templates: Essential Shapes to stamp and heat emboss the sentiments on the wheel. that makes things SO MUCH easier!
and I finished off the card by heat embossing the sentiment in white onto some Black Licorice Cardstock.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #196 - Inspired By...

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

the challenge this time is so easy, yet so FUN! you'll want to play along more than once!

oh my goodness!
this is the BEST challenge!
there are SOOOOO many talented, inspiring and amazing team members on the Lawn Fawn and Lawn Fawnatics Challenge teams and I'm always honored to be among them!

this time, I decided to create a card based on Chari Moss!

so fun!
she is SOOOO talented and I haven't made a card with cross-stitching and she is the QUEEN!! so that's what I decided to try!

I started by die cutting out the Embroidery Hoop and Embroidery Hoop Rainbow Add-on from white cardstock.
then I ink blended the hoop itself with Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber to give it a wood look.
then I used Pumice Stone to ink blend the pin!

for the rainbow, I used floss in dark purple, burgandy, pink, light pink and gold! I used the Chain Stitch that Chari showed in the Embrodery Hoop Intro Video.
I ink blended the background with Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold and Tattered Rose.
then I used the Stratus Cloud Background Stencils with gold embossing paste to add some fancy clouds to the background.

 

I heat embossed the sentiment from Rain or Shine Before 'n Afters in white onto vellum and then die cut it out with the Stitched Sentiment Banners.

hi and good morning!
today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!

I used the new Lattice Die Set along with some older products!
I started by ink blending the background with Distress Inks in Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron. then I placed the Petite Flowers Stencil on top and used the same colors, but with more pressure to add a tone-on-tone look!

I die cut out the Lattice Die from white cardstock. and then did more ink blending with Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber. I also splattered some of the same ink colors as well as white acrylic ink on top. then I added foam tape to the die and popped it up over the green background!

I stamped the images from the Newton's Hanging Basket and colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. then I added some details with a white gel pen and die cut them out with the coordinating dies.

the sentiment was heat embossed in white on some black cardstock to finish the card.

reeeeeally high five, my friend!

hello!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog!
and you know what that means...I have a video too!

I used the new Pull N Slide and Birthday Mouse die sets! 

I started by coloring all of the images from Really High Five, Party Animal, Bubbles of Joy and You Autumn Know with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Once everything was dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. I also added some details with a white gel pen!

Next, I did lots of die cutting and Distress Ink blending with the new Birthday Mouse dies!

I used Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo for the mouse body. I used Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold for the balloon. Then I used Saltwater Taffy for the cheeks and ears. I also used Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold for the party hat!

Next, I ink blended the background - 3 times! I used both panels from the Pull N Slide die, as well as an A2 piece of cardstock. I used Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio. Then I used the new Cloud Background Stencil with the same colors, but more pressure to add a subtle tone-on-tone look to the background! LOVE it!

The fun part was assembling the card - the interactive die was the easiest die ever! I was nervous at first, but after making one, I can't wait to make 100 more!

you're my rainbow on a cloudy day!

hello!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
the current challenge is all about a super inspiring bingo card!

for this card, I used middle column: Rainbow, Critter, Patterned Paper, Bright and Foam Squares!
and the critters I chose are unicorns!! my favorite! lol!

I stamped and colored the images from A Little Sparkle, My Rainbow and Unicorn Picnic. then I colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut them out with their coordinating dies.
I also added some details to the images with a white gel pen.

for the background, I used the purple paper from the Really Rainbow Petite Paper Pack! I used Chipped Sapphire and Wilted Violet Distress Inks and very lightly ink blended the edges of the paper. then I splattered some colors and white acrylic ink on top!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto some Black Licorice paper and then popped up with foam tape.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #195 - Bingo!

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

LOVE this idea!
for my card, I picked 2nd row from the bottom: Whimsical, Mice, Bright, Marker and Cardstock

so fun!
I stamped and colored the images from You Autumn Know, Bubbles of Joy and Virtual Friends Add-on for the mice images. then I stamped the balloons, party hats and banner from Really High Five and Elephant Parade Add-on.
I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.
I also added some details with a white gel pen for fun!

 

I used some Mermaid Cardstock for the background.
then I did a little bit of inkblending with Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch and Mermaid Lagoon. I used the Lots of Stars Background Stencils and the same colors, but with more pressure to add a subtle tone-on-tone look!

I also used the Nighttime Sky Stencil and some white embossing paste to add even more texture to that background. the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto some Black Licorice cardstock.

Newton's Nook April Release - Filigree Oval Frame Die Set

and sooooo versatile!

what a fun and unique die set!

 

I'm currently obsessed with floral cards...as you can tell with this one! lol!

I stamped the images from the Cherry Blossoms multiple times and and then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once the images were all dry, I splattered some white acrylic ink on top!
I die cut out the butterflies with their coordinating dies, and I also used the dies to die cut some vellum, and layered the butterflies on top of the vellum layer!

the background is actually very simple!
I die cut the new Filigree Oval Frame from white cardstock, and then placed it on some very soft, light grey cardstock.
even though it's simple, it really helps the bright pink blossoms pop!

I die cut out the 'hello' from black cardstock, and then sprinkled some sequins around and on the Cherry Blossoms, too!
