season's tweetings winter card

hello!
today I have this fun, festive card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
the current challenge is critters and the holidays, and I couldn't resist making a card with the adorable birds!

I stamped and colored the images from Winter Birds, Winter Birds Add-on and Flappy Holiday with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. then I added some details with a white gel pen and one the images were all dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.

for the background, I used the Birch Tree Stencils and some Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Ink to ink blend a subtle tree background. then I used the new Snowflakes Stencil with some white embossing ink to add the snowy texture.

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock and then die cut with the Stitched Sentiment Banners. I also die cut some of the snowy hills with the Stitched Hillside Borders. I really LOVE the pops of reds and greens against the neutral background.

Newton's Nook Designs Winter Release - Snow Flurries Toner Card Fronts, Snowfall Die Set and Let it Snow Die Set

and sooooo versatile!

my first card both, the new toner card fronts and one of the new die sets!

I love the warm, dark pinks and whites of this card - reminds me of peppermint! so fun!
I used some warm pink with one of the toner card fronts for the background. I also used some of the new paper from the Snow Flurries paper pad!
I die cut out the petite, light grey snowflakes (as well as some white cardstock) with the Basic Frames die set for lots of layering!

then I sprinkled on some tiny, tiny white pom-poms to mimic snowballs all over! I also tied some red and white striped twine on top in a bow! (just like some packaging!)

the sentiment was die cut from white cardstock and then, I did some ink blending with Saltwater Taffy and Abandoned Coral!
love how this came out - it's so fun!

my next card uses the new toner sheets, too! and this time pairs it with the new Snowfall Die set! swoon!

LOOOOOOVE this one!
I used some shattered foil in blues, purples and teals for the background! so gorgeous!

then, I die cut out the snowflakes 3 times each from white cardstock. and then I used a sewing machine to stitch them together down the middle.

the sentiment was heat embossed in white from the new Christmas Greetings stamp set onto black cardstock and then popped up with foam tape.

a very mice winter!

hello!
today I have a fun card up on the Lawn Fawn blog using some new and old products! :D

yahooooo!
I'm in love with how this card came out!
I stamped the images from Caroling Mice and Snowball Fight. then I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color them in. once they were dry, I added some details with a white gel pen, and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. so sweet!

to create the interactive card, I used the, always fun, Ta-Da! Diorama! I looooooove this die set!
I also used the Ta-Da! Diorama! Hillside Inserts for the snowy hills inside.
I die cut out the pieces of the card with papers from the Let it Shine Starry Skies and Really Rainbow Petite Paper Pads. what a fun combination!! I love the sine of the gold stars and the pop of the bright rainbow together! soooo sweet!

I added some of the flying snowballs with acetate - it's such a fun way to add dimension and interest to the scene inside!! they're flying through the air, literally! ha!

I also decorated the outside of the card - to bring the outside, in!
these mice work so well together from both sets and I love that front of the card can embellished too! and it opens up into the wonderful world of more mice and snow fun!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock, and then die cut with the Stitched Sentiment Banners die set.

Simon Says Stamptember 2025 + Newton's Nook Designs

hello and happy Newton's Nook Designs + Simon Says Stamp collab day for Stamptember!

so exciting and fun!
I am in LOVE with this new set and it's totally up my alley since I spend most of my free time at a hockey rink! lol!

adorable!!
I stamped and colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. of course I added some details with a white gel pen, too! then once it was all dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.


I used the Oval Frame Dies from Newton's Nook to create the ice rink...but you can't tell. BECAUSE when I was popping up the beige border...I didn't line up the corners correctly! lol! oooopsie!
anyway, I used Distress Oxide Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina for the ice. then I splattered the same colors on top.

for the border, I used some beige cardstock and splattered some white acrylic ink on top, then popped it up around the pond (as mentioned...NOT in the original oval shape! lol).
Then I placed some of the snowflakes all around the scene! love them!

I heat embossed the sentiment onto black carstock and cardstock I watercolored to match the scarves of the images, and combined them to add a little extra pizzazz to the sentiment! lol!

Popform Pop-Up Penguins!

today I'm so excited to share my card that's up on the Lawn Fawn blog! and BONUS: I made a video too! you can check it out on the Lawn Fawn blog, or my youtube channel, here!

I started by stamping and coloring all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I stamped the images from Simply Celebrate Winter Critters, Penguin Party and Snow Cool.
once they were dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. I also added some details to each image with a white gel pen!

I couldn’t resist coloring the penguins in a teal color, just to change things up!


I used the Platform Pop-Up die set to for the card. I die cut 2 bases, 2 Ts and 3 hills all from white cardstock. Then I used the Brick Stencil and some Distress Oxide Ink in Lost Shadow to add the subtle grey color. I thought it would make the platform look like an igloo!! I hope that came through.


Instead of using a 3rd T shape to connect both platforms together, I used a circle Acetate die cut (inspired by Grace’s Card in the Intro to Platform Pop-Up video) and some Fair Dust Stencil Paste to add the sparkly snowflakes with the Snowflakes Backgrounds Stencils. so FUN!! 
I also die cut out the letters for JOY using the Henry’s ABCs dies. then I added color with Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina to mimic the colors of the penguins. I glued those to the side of the circle and it completed my sentiment. 


the rest of the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock from Scribbled Sentiments: Winter and then fussy cut out!

I love how this whole party just pops up when you 'open' the card!! so fun and SO unique!

I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, then I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!I just love how the pup is frolicking in the snow!

I used some mint green cardstock for the background. I used the Evergreens Stencil and some Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron to add the color. then I used some gliterry embossing paste for the trees, too!! it adds some magic and fun!

I splattered some white acrylic ink all over the background, and then used a big dry paintbrush to add lots of paint texture to the bottom of the card, for the effect of the snow!
the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock and then I fussy cut around it!

winter wonderland fun!

hi there!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog - and guess what? I have a video to go along with it!
you can watch it here, or on my youtube channel!

I used the new Snow One Like You and Snowball Fight stamp sets! I stamped the images and colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Then I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. I also added a few small details with a white gel pen.


I used Distress Inks in Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch and Salvaged Patina to add the winter wonderland sky. Then I used white embossing paste and the Snowflake Background Stencils to add texture to the sky.

I die cut out the hills with the Stitched Hillside Borders from 80lb white cardstock multiple times! One of the hillside borders matches perfectly with one of the Slide on Over dies and so I lined those two up to make the track for the sled! 
I also heat embossed the sentiment in clear ink over black on the bottom hill.
I popped up the entire card front with two layers of foam tape, and used a penny on the underside of the cardfront, white 2 layers of foam tape. Then the card was ready to finish creating by gluing the images onto the card front! 


I love how the critters are having a fun time on the sled while the mice are playing with the snowballs! Such a perfect winter day!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #135 - Coffee, Tea and Treats

Lawn Fawn has the cutest coffee and treaty images!! so fun!

what fun, right? lol!
I used the adorable images from Thanks a Latte! all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out with the coordinating dies. I couldn't resist adding a dollop of cream and a scarf to these cute warm drinks!

 

I used Distress Inks in Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold to create the warm snowflake background! then I used the Snowflake Background Stencils with the same colors, but more pressure, to create the tone-on-tone texture of snow!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto a strip of black cardstock and is the perfect compliment to those images and the snowy background!
