my card today uses the new Cat Builder Die Set and Birthday Accessories Die Set!

eeeep! this birthday card is so fun and happy!
I love how many positions you can create for the kitties! I decided to make this one kind of laying down. and then I added the balloons and party hat with rainbow colors!
I also did LOTS of ink blending on everything that was die cut to add a little bit of shading.

I also used the Frames & Tags die set for the background! I did more shading, and then used the Cascading Stars Stencil and some white embossing paste on top.
the sentiment was heat embossed with the Birthday Barks Stamp Set. then I die cut it out with the A7 Frames & Banners Die Set.

now how about some fun for all of the dog lovers!?

I spent all afternoon die cutting those sweet pups! I looooove how you can create so many cute dogs and they all look different! I even switched some of the ears around to make them look different. adorable, I know!

I put each puppy on a 'stamp' that was die cut with the Postage Stamp Layout Die Set. and they each have a fun and bright party hat!! so fun.

I finished the card off by heat embossing the sentiment with the new Birthday Greetings stamp set in white onto black cardstock. then I just trimmed the black cardstock into a banner and popped it up with foam tape.

my card today uses the new Birthday Greetings Stamp Set and Cake Builder Die Set!

so sweet and fun, right?
I did a LOT of die cutting! I die cut out the pieces for the cakes about 6 times! I used a warm vanilla cardstock for the cake base, and then 3 different pink cardstocks for the decorations of the cakes!
I also used a light gray for the cake stand.

the sentiment was heat embossed with clear embossing powder in Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink onto vellum. then I die cut it with the big banner from the Frames & Flags Die Set.

 

I finished off the card by adding some matte white sequins around the cake images.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge#227 - Fun with Food

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

any excuse to play with some Lawn Fawn stamps is a good excuse to play!

so fun!!
I am most happy when I can work with a fun pun, and coloring up these cute little foodies gave me the perfect time to have fun with puns! ha!

I started by stamping the images from Let's Toast, Fangtastic Friends Add-on and Party Animal. then I colored them all in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers die cut out most of the images! I used the Summer Friends stamp set to add some legs and arms to the avocados, so I fussy cut those little cuties out!

I used some of the pretty purple stripes papers from the Really Rainbow 6x6 Paper Pack and the Shadow Box Dies, but I love the combination of the pinks and greens together! I used some Cilantro cardstock for the hills. I added some shading with Pine Needles Distress Oxide ink and also Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Ink for the purple patterned papers.

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice cardstock and I used Harold's ABCs combined with the sentiment from Party Animal. so fun!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #226 - Back to School Inspiration Board

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

this is a bittersweet back to school season for me, so I was extra happy to work things out while making this fun card for my bestie (who's a teacher!)

here we go!

I started by stamping the images from Fruitful Friends, Little Woodland Library, Little Woodland Library Friends, Little Woodland Library Add-on and Simply Celebrate Graduation. then I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color them in. I added some details with a white gel pen, and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. 

in a shocking change of events, I kept the background simple with a piece of patterned paper from the Really Rainbow Petite Paper Pack. I love how it has that school paper look!
I also used one the paper clip dies from Paper Clips and die cut it out with some metallic silver cardstock - such a fun, unique touch to the back to school theme!

I had so much fun adding the cute bookworms to the card - I especially love the one buddies at the bottom of the card! they're so cute! and the reds and greens together really pop!
I finished the card off by heat embossing the sentiment in white on the chalkboard to make it look like a classroom!
