who's ready for a reverse rainbow?
hi there!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog, and it makes me so happy!
also, I made a video for the card!
you can watch it here, or on my youtube channel!
I really love how bright and happy this is!
I started this card by stamping the images and then coloring them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I stamped images from Silly Goose, Silly Goose Rain or Shine and Beary Rainy Day. once the images were dry, I added some details with a white gel pen and then die cut them out with the coordinating dies. LOVE these cute images!
for the background and interactive pieces I used Fog Carstock and the Cloudy Stencils to add a cloudy look for the background. I ink blended using Distress Oxide Inks in Black Soot and Lost Shadow.
I also die cut out the ground from Cilantro cardstock. then I added some ink blending with Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles.
I attached the pieces to complete the Over the Rainbow interactive element and then used a piece of bright diagonal rainbow colors from the Really Rainbow Petite Paper Pad as a surprise pop of color and rainbow under the cloudy sky! I call it a reverse rainbow! lol!
all of the images were attached directly to the card. The sentiment from Silly Goose, Rain or Shine was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock and then cut into a banner shape. I stamped the rest of the sentiment from Really Rainbows onto the pull tab part of the card!
I finished off the card by stamping some falling rain onto the background and then added some whimsical white details.
be sure to check out the card up on the Lawn Fawn blog, too!
enjoy!

thank hue card!!!
hello all!
I can't believe May is flying by!
today I have this fun, happy and bright thank you card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
the current challenge is all about using your die cuts only!
so I created a fun, thank you card! I recently realized I need more thank you cards in my life, and this was the perfect time to make one!
I used the Mr Sun and Stitched Rainbow dies for this card! the fun images were die cut from white cardstock and then I used Distress Inks to add the fun ink blended color! I used Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade for the sun. and for the rainbow, I used the same yellows along with Picked Raspberry, Saltwater Taffy, Ripe Persimmon, Dried Marigold, Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina. I also used Lost Shadow for the clouds.
the card front is a piece of Lilac Cardstock. and for the sentiment, I die cut out the letters with Oliver's Stitched ABCs from grey cardstock. then I used Black Soot and Hickory Smoke Distress Inks to add the ombre look.
this was so fun, and it's so happy!
be sure to check this card out up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog.
enjoy!

aloha birthday wishes!
today I have a fun, tropical-themed birthday card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!
I love how fun and bright it is!
Lots of color and inking and dimension!
I started by stamping the images from Aloha Newton and then using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color them in.
then I used a white gel pen to add some details, once the images were dry and then die cut them out with their coordinating dies!
for the background, I did some ink blending with Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral and Dried Marigold. then I used the Music Stencil on top, and used the same colors, but with a lot more pressure in order to add the subtle music sheet background!
then I used the new Music Notes Stencil and some white embossing paste to and added some music notes around the card. LOVE that pop of white and whimsy!
the sentiment is from Birthday Oval and was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock and the I fussy cut around it.
I popped it up, along with the hibiscus flowers, with foam tape and then glues the rest directly to the card front.
LOVE how bright and happy this is! Also, I hope the sentiment combined with the music notes really gets you humming along to the happy birthday song!
I'm officially really for the summer birthdays!
be sure to check out this card up on the Newton's Nook blog!
enjoy!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #221 - Dies Only
happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
so fun!!
I realized recently that I need some more Thank You cards in my stash - so this was the perfect time to get inky and make some thank you cards!
I used a piece of patterned paper from the Really Rainbow Petite Paper Pack and die cut out the leafy vines many, many times! then I used Distress Inks in Pine Needles and Mowed Lawn to add some dimension to the leaves.
I die cut out the flower images from the same set and used Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Saltwater Taffy and Dried Marigold to ink blend the colors there, too.
then I used the Oliver's Stitched ABCs die set and die cut out the sentiment from grey cardstock. then I used Black Soot and Hickory Smoke Distress Inks to add color in an ombre fashion. I added foam tape to the sentiment and then popped it up on the card front.
I finished the card off by splattering white acrylic ink on top.

geometric cherry blossoms!
hello!
today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook blog and it's so fun and happy!
I love it!
I love the rainbow colors and the pop of black with the floral images!
I started by die cutting a bunch of hexagons with the Hexagons dies. then I used a rainbow variety of Distress Inks and did lots of ink blending! once I was done, I finished by splattering some white acrylic ink on top!
I attached the hexagons to the card front, some were popped up, but only a few.
then I used the image from the Cherry Blossoms and heat embossed them in black onto acetate! so FUN, right?! I love that it lets the pretty rainbow colors shine through, but you also get the bold images of the flowers!
I finished off the card by heat embossing the sentiment from the Heartfelt Butterflies stamp set in white onto black cardstock. then I used the A7 Frames & Banners die set to die cut out the sentiment.
be sure to check the card out up on the Newton's Nook blog, too!
enjoy!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #220 - Inspired By
happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
this is such a sweet and lovely challenge!
I was inspired by this beautiful card by Karin!
I used a bunch of Distress Paints in rainbow colors on white cardstock and set it aside to dry. then I used the outline die of the butterflies from the same set and die cut them out.
I attached the vellum butterflies to the back of the outlined butterfly images. love the dimension!
the background of the card is white woodgrain cardstock with white rainbows made with embossing paste and the Corner Rainbow Stencils.
