gourd vibes only

hello there!
today I have this fun (and punny!) card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog! the current challenge is all about the awesome-ness of autumn, and this card fits right in with that theme!

I started by stamping the images from All the Grasses, Costume Party, Pick of the Patch Add-on, Fall Mice and You Autumn Know. then I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to watercolor in the images. once the images were all dry, I added some details with a white gel pen and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. I love the pink/orange/yellow color palette for fall! so warm and cozy!

I used a piece of Vanilla Malt Cardstock for the base. then I added a subtle tone-on-tone look by stamping the pumpkin from Costume Party and leaves from Fall Mice in Antique Linen randomly. then I also used the same ink color to splatter some ink on top. 
then I used piece of vellum on top to place my sentiment. 

and speaking of sentiment!!! lol! this cracked me up the entire time! I loooooove it! 
I die cut the letters from Henry's ABCs using No 2 Pencil Cardstock. and then I used Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink to add a little ombre look to the sentiment. 
the pumpkins and mice were popped up with foam tape for some added dimension.

All of the new products are so fun!
and sooooo versatile!

my first card uses the new Halloween Accessories Die set with the adorable Dog Builder Die Set!

I started by die cutting all of the pieces!! I used various browns and greys and beiges for the dogs and oranges for the pumpkins. then I used coordinating Distress Inks to add some shading! 

then I die cut out the moon and clouds from using the Spooky Sky Die Set. 
for the background, I used some dark teal cardstock and did ink blending towards the top of the paper with Distress Inks in Uncharted Mariner and Black Soot. 

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock and then popped up with foam tape. the sentiment is from Ghostly Good Times.

my 2nd card uses the new Halloween Greetings and Spiderwebs Die Sets! 

 

the spiderwebs were die cut from a soft silver glitter cardstock. then I due cut out the sentiment from black cardstock and backed it with a layer of vellym! so fun! the spider was also die cut from black cardstock, and then I added a layer of glossy accents to make it shiny.

for the background of the card, I did some ink blending with Black Soot on a dark grey cardstock. then I did some ink smooshing with Black Soot on top of that and splattered a little bit of black ink all over, too! LOVE the background!

I love how halloween-ish this card is!

my first card uses the new Autumn Cats and Autumn Dogs stamp sets!

I started by stamping the image and then coloring it in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I used the coordianting dies to die cut them out, and then added some details with a white gel pen! then I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.

I used Distress Inks to in blend some white cardstock, and then I used the same colors (Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron and Pine Needles) to then add a watercolor look on top of the ink blending.
then I used the Postage Stamp Layout Die to die cut them.

I love the pops of red against the greens, so much!
I also used images from Fall Harvest and Autumn Apples to complete the fall/apply scene!

my 2nd card uses the new Autumn Dogs, Autumn Leaves Paper Pack and Torn Edge Drames Die Set!

I added the Autumn Dogs around the frame from Frames & Tags Die Set which was die cut from the Autumn Leaves Paper Pack. the background of the card also is from the new papers! 

then I die cut a panel of vellum with the Torn Edge Frames die set and placed it behind the frame and popped it up with foam tape.
I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto some peach cardstock, then I die cut it out, also using the Torn Edge Frames die. 

I love the pinks, oranges and yellows for fall!

today I have a FUN and interactive card up on the Lawn Fawn blog!
and bonus fun, I made a video for this card!

so fun, right?
I started by stamping the images from I Like Cute Moths. then I watercolored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once all of the images were dry I added some details with a white gel pen and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. pink and purple and coral moths? what's not to love! lol

for the actual card, I used the Ta-Da! Diorama! dies to die cut out the pieces from white cardstock. I also used the base of the card and some Let It Shine Starry Skies beige and gold cardstock. I did lots of ink blending on the white cardstock panels. I wanted to create the look from light in the back of the card to darker in the front!
I used Antique Linen, Dried Marigold, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves and Dusty Concord. I really love the look of beige to purple, especially for fall! 
then I splattered some tiny stars with white acrylic ink and Liquid Stardust onto all of the panels. 

I also ink blended the same colors for the hills of the card. 
oh! and I forgot to mention, I also used one of the dens for the opening of the card from Stitched Dens. 

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock. then I die cut it out with the middle banner from the Stitched Sentiment Banners. 
then I sprinkled those little yellow stars all of the outside and inside of the card!

I added the entire thing to another piece of cardstock from the Let It Shine Starry Skies cardstock to finish it off.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #229 - Awesome Autum

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

any excuse to play with some Lawn Fawn stamps is a good excuse to play!

so fun!!
it's my favorite season, and I had a blast making my card for this challenge!

I started by stamping the images from You Autumn Know and Fall Mice and then coloring them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once it was all dry, I added some details with a white gel pen and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. 

for the background, I used some Lilac Cardstock for the base. then I added the soft trees in the background with the Birch Tree Stencils and some Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink. then I used the Autumn Breeze Stencil with some white embossing paste to add a little bit more texture to the fall-themed background.

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice cardstock. I used the Harold's ABCs stamp set to create the custom sentiment. which is so fun and punny! lol

autumn leaves and cozy reads!

today I have a fun, cozy card for any autumn or book lover! (which is me! lol)
this card is up on the Newton's Nook blog! 

I started by stamping the images from the Puppy's Reading List and Autumn Reads stamp sets.
then I used the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color the images in. I added some white gel pen details to the images. and once everything was dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. 

for the background, I did lots of ink blending in a simple rainbow palette using a bunch of Distress Inks. to add a little more detail and texture, I used some white embossing paste and the Falling Leaves Stencil. I love that subtle touch to the background since everything else is so bold and saturated!

I stamped the sentiment onto the book, which I think fits just perfectly! ha! to finished the card, I popped up the puppy image with foam tape!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #228 - Woodland Wonder

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

any excuse to use a Lawn Fawn critter is a win for me!

here we go!
I decided to go with a lot of pops of color!

I started by stamping the images from To My Fungi, Oh Gnome!, Let's Go Nuts and A Bug Deal. then I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to watercolor in the images! once the images were dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out! I love how the green leaves and pink and red mushrooms really pop with the neutral background and squirrels!

for the background, I used the Birch Tree Stencils and Distress Oxide Inks in Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain. then I used the Bee Happy Background Stencils and some white embossing paste to add a windy looking texture to the fall scene!

I attached all of the images directly to the card. but I did use foam tape to pop up the squirrel images and the sentiment! the sentiment is also from Oh Gnome! and was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock. then i trimmed it down into a small banner.
