spring fling butterflies

hello!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics challenge blog and it's got that spring vibe!

the current challenge is all about Spring and all the good times that go with it!
I couldn't resist making another card with the adorable new butterflies!

I stamped the images from I Like Big Butterflies and All the Clouds. they were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then I added some details with a white gel pen. once everything was dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.
I also sprinkled some white acrylic ink on the clouds, too.

for the background, I used Distress Oxide Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers.
once I finished ink blending, I put the Sunray Background Stencil on top and spritzed with water. I love the subtle look of the rays!
then I die cut out the clouds for the top and bottom of the card using the Puffy Cloud Borders from white cardstock. I popped them up with foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment onto the bottom cloud in black ink.
the butterflies were popped up with foam tape, and the stamped clouds were attached directly to the background.

I love the spring theme!

daffodils for spring!

hello!
today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!
It's got that lovin', spring feeling!

I stamped the image multiple times from the Daffodils stamp set, and then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
instead of coloring them in yellow like a typical daffodil, I went with the less common color for daffodils, and it's so pretty!

once the images were dry, I die cut them out with they're coordinating dies.
for the background, I used the new Card Layout 7 die to die cut out from white cardstock. then I did some ink blending in various corners with Distress Inks in Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron.
I then, stamped the same daffodil images in the same colors of the greens for some added fun.

I LOOOOOOVE the mix of the geometric pattern of the background with the beautiful fluidity of the flowers.
the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock and die cut out with the banner from the A7 Frames & Banners die set.

I legit had so much fun making everything this week!!

this one is too legit to quit, eeeee!

this time, no coloring with markers, only inks!
I die cut out the main card front from white cardstock with the Basic Frames Die Set. then I Distress Oxide Inks in Seedless Preserves, Peacock Feathers and Squeezed Lemonade to stamp the shapes. then I heat embossed those shapes from the new Party On! stamp set in clear.

once it was all dry and cool, I did some ink blending on the cardstock in Picked Raspberry, Saltwater Taffy and Dried Marigold. then I finished it off by stamping in black with the squiggles and outlined shapes.

I popped up that panel with foam tape, and layered some black cardstock on an angle. the background of the card is a piece of the New Retro Paper Pack. again - that purple called to me!!!
the sentiment was creating by using a lot of the fun, retro sentiments in black ink! and then, I finished off the card by sprinkling on some enamel dots in coordinating colors!

I stamped the images from the new Puppy's Tape Mix and then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I added some details with a white gel pen and then die cut it out with the coordinating dies! I love them!
I also used the new Retro Mix Toner Card Fronts.

the Retro Mix Toner Card Fronts are SO FUN and just awesome with FOIL. but for this card, I really wanted the black to pop! so I didn't even add foil! but I did do lots of Distress Inks in rainbow colors to add some fun! 

I love that pattern and the beautiful colors!I wanted the image of the puppy to POP, so I die cut out the rectangle in vellum from the Frames & Flags die set. then I popped up the image with foam tape.

I finished off the card by heat embossing the sentiment from the new Party On! stamp set in white.

I stamped the images from the new Newton's Tape Mix and then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I added some details with a white gel pen and then die cut it out with the coordinating dies! I love them!
and yes - I couldn't resist the pull of the purples in the papers! ha!

for the background, I used a sheet of the New Retro Paper Pack and die cut it out with the Card Layout 7 die set!
I love that pattern and the beautiful colors!
to add a little extra interest, I also added some details with a few music notes from the new Music Notes Stencil and white embossing paste.

I used some soft lilac cardstock from my stash and die cut it out with the Circle Frames Die Set, to set behind the main image. and I also used the new Party On! stamp set to stamp the sentiment!

I stamped the images from the new Newton's Tape Mix and Puppy's Tape Mix and then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I added some details with a white gel pen and then die cut them out with the coordinating dies! I love them! they're so sweet and fun!

for the background, I used the Sunscape Stencil and Distress Oxide Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina. I also used the new Music Notes Stencil and some white embossing paste for some texture!
once it was all dry, I used the new Card Layout 7 Die to die cut it out, and popped up the frame!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #217 - Spring Fling

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

loving this season of love! lol!

so sweet!
I couldn't resist making an Easter themed card!

I started by stamping the images from Chirpy Chirp Chirp and Carrot 'bout You. I colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I also added some details with a white gel pen, and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.

 

for the background, I die cut out the layers from white cardstock using both the Grassy Border and Stitched Hillside Borders. then I added color to each one by ink blending with Distress Oxide Inks in Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron.

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice cardstock, and I combined two phrases form the Chirpy Chirp Chirp to make one! it was also popped up with foam tape!
