ready for summer!

oops! i almost forgot to post this card i made for lawnscaping's latest challenge - stamp a scene!!

and
oh
my
goodness!

the cards made for this challenge by the design team and other players are so amazing!!! talk about inspiration! :)

so here's my take! just a simple, underwater scene that i made to brighten a friends' day! :)

i was feeling in a summer-y mood when i made it (maybe it's because i was in florida!)! everything is fussy cut from lawn fawn's critters in the sea stamp set. i also used the chevron backgrounds for the summer-y yellow sky! :)

i just love that the little octopus looks like he's waving!

alright, on with your day!
enjoy! :)

i made this card for the latest paper smooches sparks challenge! i was also able to make with my best friend via an impromptu trip to florida!! what fun!!

so here's my card (it's going to be a quick post!)

i just HAD to make a smiley face with breakfast foods for that yummy inspiration photo! everything was paper pieced and i had a ball making it! lol! i crack myself up!

ok, time to get back at it! hopefully everyone is having a great start to the week!
enjoy!

come on baby

i am totally in the crafy spirit! ...so why do work and responsibility have to get in the way?! ha ha!

anyway, i created this card for two challenges - lawn fawn's contest for operation write home (such a great organization!) and the runway inspired challenge site! this is my first time playing along with them, and i'm super excited! i used to play in a 'fantasty fashion league' with some friends, and it was hilarious and awesome! (it's like fantasy football, but with fashion and famous people! ha ha!)

anyway, here's the inspiration photo:

i'm in a grey kick, and i love all colors combined with grey, so bring it on! not to mention, this is all about chevron...so...yeah. :)

here's my card:

love it! he he he!

everything is paper-pieced or fussy cut. i made the stars glossy for added shine! and the fire man is popped up for dimension! :)

i used lawn fawn's cozy christmas, plus one and harold's abc's stamp sets. :)

i hope this card made you chuckle! :)

enjoy!

little love birds

i hope everyone had a wonderful easter weekend! i did...even though i'm SUPER sick. yuck.

anyway, i wanted to share a card i made for the current challenge going on over at lawnscaping!! :) this was a hard week for me, coloring?! not my strong suit!! ha ha! there are so many AMAZINGLY talented crafters out there who can color, and i'm just not one of them! :) ha ha!!

anyway, i did try my hand at it and i made this card which i ADORE.

it's my lawn fawn take on birds on a wire! :) (i'm currently all about birds on a wire!)

i heat embossed the sentiment and glossy-ed up the heart, other than that, i just colored the birds (no, not with copics!) and used some of the lawn fawn twine to create the wire!

so that's it!

enjoy!

Welcome to the Lawnscaping Blog Hop! congratulations, you made it to the last stop!

You should have come to me by way of Yainea!! and when i say wow...i mean. wow! her coloring is always amazing, and i'm just floored by her creativity!

This month's theme is all about Spring!

The hop runs from Friday, April 6th - Sunday, April 8th! You have the whole weekend to hop along! Make sure to comment on all of the blogs because there are LOTS of prizes to be won! All the details can be found on the Lawnscaping home page!

here's my layout - (i know, i know, a layout, how predictable of me!)

but there's more! there are hidden treasures on this layout!
and it's easter of course! (2010, to be exact!) i'll make try to make this short!

here are the highlights, and my favorite parts:

* the real easter grass

* the hidden picture (he was TERRIFIED of the easter bunny!)

* my peeps (get it? easter peeps, the treat, and then peeps, because it's all of his people around him! yeah, i think i explained that to my husband 30 times at least, just to make sure that was coming through! ha!)

(each of the hanging pictures actually hides a mini album on a brad!)

and because i couldn't stop there, i also made easter egg holders out of felt (nests!!!!) and decorated them with the cute little bird!

so that's it! thank you SO much for participating in the hop! hope you had a blast and was wow-ed by all of the creativity out there! Head on back to Lawnscaping to see the complete list of the hop participants and prize information!

making my world happy

there's a new blog on the block! and i'm super excited!!! it's called a blog named hero, and i'm sooo excited! who doesn't love hero arts?! and the inspiration on that blog, let me tell you! i am so thankful for blogs and all of the inspiration out there in the world!

with that said, they're having they're first challenge and it's barely a challenge at all - it's to use your favorite hero arts product! done! who doesn't have a favorite hero arts product? :)

i decided to go with a happy and clean and simple card!

i used the sentiment from 'CL261' (one of my all time favorite sentiments ever!), which i heat embossed in white. then i used the teeny tiny stars from 'CL155' to add some bling. i stamped them in white, but then i decided to color them in with my glitter pen! i'm still torn on the outcome.

lastly, i just made a faux seam with my white gel pen! easy pesy! but such a nice card to give to someone!

enjoy!

happy spring!

happy spring!!

i made a card today for the latest paper smooches sparks challenge, with a super bright, cheery and spring-y inspiration photo! :)

i had so much fun making it! amd clearly i was inspired by the theme, colors and happiness of the photo!

i used the smiley faces from 'sugar rush' to give the eggs their faces! i paper-pieced the eggs and their accessories (making the bow, from the 'spring fling' set into a bowtie for the gentle-egg), and fussy cut the sun from 'eco friendly'. i popped up the sun to add dimension and balance out the fullness of the grass...

oh, and you may have noticed i used some bona-fide easter grass for the easter eggs...that's my favorite part!! i think you may see that on another project of mine at the end of this week...shhhh. :)

so that's it! have a great rest of your (palm!) sunday!

enjoy!
