it's happy meowr somewhere!

hello!
today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog and I had so much fun making this fun, summery and happy scene!

so cute, right?
I stamped the images from the Newton's Happy Meowr stamp set and then colored it with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I also added some details with a white gel pen. I just love the little shell images that are sprinkled around the scene!

to create the beachy background, I stared by ink blending a piece of white cardstock. I used Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo for the back. then I splattered with the same inks, as well as some white acrylic ink to make it look sandy.
I used Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers for the ocean! then I use a large dry brush and some white gesso to add the beach spray! so fun!
and I couldn't resist adding some sequins to the beach spray too! so fun!

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto black cardstock and then fussy cut around it. I also popped it up with some foam tape!

Newton's Nook April Release - Filigree Oval Frame Die Set

what a fun and unique die set!

 

I'm currently obsessed with floral cards...as you can tell with this one! lol!

I stamped the images from the Cherry Blossoms multiple times and and then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once the images were all dry, I splattered some white acrylic ink on top!
I die cut out the butterflies with their coordinating dies, and I also used the dies to die cut some vellum, and layered the butterflies on top of the vellum layer!

the background is actually very simple!
I die cut the new Filigree Oval Frame from white cardstock, and then placed it on some very soft, light grey cardstock.
even though it's simple, it really helps the bright pink blossoms pop!

I die cut out the 'hello' from black cardstock, and then sprinkled some sequins around and on the Cherry Blossoms, too!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #186 - Coffee, Tea and Treats!

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

this new holiday inspiration board is sooooo adorable!

coffee, or tea, or treats?! I'm in!
I decided to go with a warm drink themed card this time - and I gave it a holiday twist!

so fun, right?
and no stamped images!! it's crazy! lol! I do love how this came out though! I die cut the main image using the Lovely Latte set! I ink blended the tea cup with Antique Linen, the and the coffee-drink with Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo.
I really brought this guy to life by adding the arms and legs from the Mr Sun set! LOVE making critters with that die! lol!

I also added some holiday theme to the cup with the Stitched Poinsettia set! I ink blended the flowers with Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold. then I used Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron for the leaves. I love the contrast!

the background was die cut with white cardstock and Noble Fir cardstock. I alternated each stripe with the colors using the Simple Stripes: Diagonal set.
LOVE that color combo! and I heat embossed the sentiment from Merry Messages in white onto black cardstock, which I then die cut out using the Stitched Sentiment Banners set.

I had so much fun with this new die and I can't wait to play with it even more!

first, I stamped and colored the images from Newton's Bookclub with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut with the coordinating dies once dry! I also added some details with a white gel pen, too.

I used the new A2 Cad Layout 2 Die Set for the frame! I die cut it out of a soft beige background. then I also die cut it out of some of the new Black & White Basics Paper Pad. I used those pieces to fill the frames. I am in LOVE with the new paper pads, and how they really let your images POP!

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto some black cardstock, and then trimmed it into a banner shape.
I finished off the card with a sprinkling of sequins!

Butterfly Reflections Ink Blog Hop for Vanessa!

hello everyone!

as you may or may not know, Vanessa, the owner of Butterfly Reflections Ink, is starting radiation today for a tumor in her brain!
we wanted to get a few of the team together show our support with a blog hop and to give her alllllll the encouragement we can!!

most importantly...be sure to wish Vanessa good luck and good vibes as she begins this necessary, scary and brave journey!

for my card, I used Crafty Friends by Paperie Ink for those cute cute cute critters!

I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut them out! of course, since the card was for Vanessa, I had to use tooooooons of purples! ha!

I used some Fog Cardstock for the base. and then ink blended with Distress Oxide Inks in Seedless Preserves and Milled Lavender on most of the card. then I used the Carta Bella Pumpkin Spice Stencil with the same colors to add some texture!

then I die cut out the big phrase with the Giant Sending Big Hugs die from Lawn Fawn in white, and popped it up with foam tape!
I finished the card off with some sequins and that's the card!

Newton's Nook Designs June Release - Summer Moments and Newton’s Seashell + coordinating Dies, Retro Sun & Palms Stencil

yahoo! let's dive in to day 2 of Newton's Nook Designs' June release!
and there was never a better, more summer-y, wonderful release!

oh how I love all of these new stamps, stencils and dies!! just wait until you see it all! I'm swooning!

I am totally feeling the summer- vibes with these new products!
my first card uses the beautiful, relaxing, wonderful Summer Moments stamp set!

I started by colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, then using the coordinating dies to die cut them out!

for the background, I did all the ink blending! lol! I used Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers for the water and Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber for the sand. then I splattered some water all over it. I also splattered some of the brown colors and white acrylic ink on the sand to create the texture.

then I used the Bokeh Stencil Set to add a dreamy, magical vibe!

my second card uses the super sweet, mini Newton's Seashell stamp set!

so fun!
I used Distress Inks in Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina for the waves! and Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber for the sand! (same splattering use for the sand as the top card)

then I die cut the layers out with Sea Borders and Land Borders die sets.

then I used the mermaid tail from Purr-maid Newton to make it look like one was a mermaid! oh yeah, and that same was mirror stamped, so they faced each other!
I finished off the card with some sequins!
