I used the new Scandi Christmas Stamps and dies along with the new Holiday Greetings Hot Foil Plates!

I used Distress Oxide Inks to stamp all of the images and then die cut them out. I also added some chunky glitter to the trees!

I used navy cardstock, and added some shading to the top with Black Soot. then I added some white embossing paste with the Petite Snow Stencil.     

I finished the card by using the new Holiday Greetings Hot Foil Plates on vellum. then I die cut that out with the A7 Frames & Banners die set!

season's tweetings!

hi there!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog!
it's so fun and cute, and BONUS - I made a video! you can check it out by clicking here, or going to my youtube channel!

I stamped and colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut once they were all dry. I also added lots of details with a white gel pen. 

For the card, I die cut everything with the Center Picture Window Card die set from white cardstock. I used Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina to ink blend the inside of the card, the large rectangle from the Add-on die set and the center part of the card. Then I used the Snowflake Backgrounds Stencils with the same colors, but with more pressure to create a subtle, but pretty, tone-on-tone snowflake texture to the card! 


Instead of using the stitched hills dies that came with the Center Picture Window Card die set, I used the branches from the Winter Birds inside and around the center! So fun! Then I put those red, cardinals and pinecones all around the inside and front of the card! 


The sentiment was heat embossed in white onto some Black Licorice cardstock!

monochromatic christmas card

hi there!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
the current challenge is all about Monochromatic, and I chose greens this time!
and I LOOOOOOVE how it came out!

so fun, right?!
I used Distress Inks in Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron and Squeezed Lemonade for the background. On a piece of 80lb cardstock, I ink blended the Distress Inks all over. then I used the same colors, but added them in a watercolor style to add some texture and interest!

I used the Cilantro Cardstock to die cut out all of the leaves, using the Stitched Poinsettia dies! then I used the Pine Needles Distress Ink and added just a tiny bit of color to the edges of each leaf. I also die cut out a few leaves from vellum!
I placed them in a wreath shape, and then used my sewing machine to stitch them all in place! I even rolled up the edges to add some texture.

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock from the Mice on Ice stamp set!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #159 - Monochromatic

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

yay!

   

I just love pushing myself to make monochromatic cards! the color choices are endless!
this time, I decided to go with pinks and reds and all the warm colors! lol!

I used the Simple Stripes: Diagonal die and die cut out the stripes of cardstock for each paper choice! in case you're curious, here are the cardstock colors I used:
Chili Pepper Cardstock, 
Ballet Slippers Cardstock
, Pencil Eraser Cardstock
 and Apricot Cardstock.

 

 

once the stripes were all put back together, I used some white embossing paste and the Snowflake Trio Stencil to add some texture. once that was dry, I splattered some gold on top of it all! 
I die cut out the main phrase with the Scripty Wishes die from white cardstock 5 times. I used Distress Inks in Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold on the top layer and then glued them all together!

 

 

I used a strip of white cardstock and the same Distress Ink colors for the first part of the sentiment. I heat embossed the phrase from the Den Sweet Den stamp set!

two roly poly kitties layout

hello - it's Friday!
today I have this fun, sweet layout up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!

so cute, right?
I die cut a bunch of papers from the Birthday Woofs paper pad with the Bookmark Die Set. then I tied two of each together with some twine! love that look!

I used the white embossing paste with the Pawprints stencil to add some little kitty paw prints all over the layout! which I love how that looks!

I totally shopped my stash and grabbed all of the embellishments I could that coordinated with the colors of papers! and it was SO FUN!

my two little girls just love to flop over on their backs when they're feeling playful! and it's so sweet and adorable!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #158 - Sentiment Focus

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

yay! 

 

anytime I can make a punny phrase on my card, I'm going to do it! lol
so I'm super excited with how this card came out

I stamped and colored the images from You’re the Zest and Party Animal with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I stamped the legs from Be Hap-pea onto those cute little limes!

Then once they were dry, I added details with a white gel pen and then die cut them out, I actually fussy cut out the lemons because of the legs I added though! 

 

The background was created with the awesome Lots of Stars Background Stencils! I used Distress Inks in Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Salvaged Patina, Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed.

 

 


I die cut out that punny sentiment with Black Licorice Cardstock and the Henry’s ABCs dies. And I couldn’t resist adding some details with a white pen to those, as well!
