Create a Smile Stamps September Release 2019
I'm so excited to be able to share this adorable new Create a Smile Stamps today!!
my project is actually a layout!
I used the new Banners stamp set!
so fun!!
I started by using the packaging technique to add the watercolor background! I used Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Tumbled Glass, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn!
once it was dry, I stamped the banners (I used them as triangles, ha!) in the coordinating Distress Oxide Inks!
I also used the perviously released Clear Letters stamp set to help create the title, which I love!!
I also used the Big Stars Polka Stencil and some white embossing paste to add a little extra texture to the layout!
I finished the layout with some embellishing and the tiny Fruitalicious Enamel Stickers! loooooove those colors together!
be sure to check out the Create a Smile Stamps blog and website to grab you new favorite release!!

thankful for you, so mush!
hello again!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Blog post, and it's super fun, and super fall-themed!
loooooove it!
I used some almost navy cardstock for the background, and die cut out a bunch of vellum, and polka-dotted leaves using the Stitched Leaves dies!
I attached them to the background by using my sewing machine to stitch them all together!
then I stamped the mushrooms and grass patches about 100 times (that just might be a bit of an exaggeration, but...who's counting? lol!) and colored them all with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers!
once they were colored, I fussy cut them out and then arranged them in rainbow order!
all of the images (including that little snail!! is from the super sweet Gleeful Gardens stamp set!
the sentiment is from the new Tree Before 'n Afters stamp set!
I finished off the card with some stickles on the dots of the mushrooms!
be sure to check out the card on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog, and play along with the fun Awesome Autumn challenge!
enjoy!

Newton's Nook Designs + WOW Embossing Powders Collaboration 2019
Newton's Nook Designs and WOW embossing powders are collaborating all week long to offer you inspiration using their products together! Both design teams will be sharing fun ways to use embossing powders on your projects using WOW embossing powders paired with Newton's Nook Designs stamps!
I'm so excited for this collaboration!
I decided to try to push myself, and use embossing powders in a unique way than I usually do!
my first card is totally not my style, but I really like how it came out!
right?!
no critters!!! no smiling, blushing cheeks!! ha!!!
I used the gorgeous Primary Purple Orchid embossing powder for the outlines of the blooms, and the sparkly Under the Sea embossing glitter powder for the leaves! all of the images are from the beautiful Peony Blooms stamp set!
then I used coordinating colors from Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color in the images! it's *ALMOST* like no-line coloring!! ha ha ha!!
then I used the corresponding dies to die cut everything out!
for the background, I used Vintage Champagne embossing glitter powder and the Tree Rings Stencil to add a little extra sparkle and texture to the background!
you can't tell, but the background started off as a light piece (kind of light beige) of cardstock. then I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink to add some ink blending and a darker color!
then I used the Frames & Flags Die Set to add the fun scalloped border!
I finished off by adding the sentiment, which was heat embossed in white onto vellum, and then popped it up!
see? really pretty! also...super not my style! lol!
oh well!
to be honest, my second card is *also* my style, but hey! it has Distress Inks and splatters, so what more do you want from me! lol!
soooo pretty, right!?
I used the Evergreens Stencil and lots of my Versamark Ink pad for embossing! ha!
I started by pressing my embossing ink pad through the stencil and then using the Primary Purple Orchid embossing powder. once that was heat set, I selectively chose trees with the stencil (and made masks to cover the purple trees), pressed my ink pad through, then sprinkled on the Earthtone Pepper color!
again, I heat set that, and then used Milled Lavendar Distress Oxide Inks ink blend a light color through the stencil.
I heat set that (even though it didn't have any powder, just because I didn't want the next color to stick to the Oxide inks.
again, I used masks over the already done trees, and then used the goooorgeous Vintage Champagne embossing glitter powder for the final set of trees!
then I used Distress Oxide Inks (Seedless Preservers, Milled Lavendar, Iced Spruce and Antique Linen) in the corresponding tree colors to fill in the 'in-between' spaces of the trees!
I splattered a toni of white acrylic ink on top, and then heat set the sentiment!
I combined phrases from the Sentiments of the Season stamp set and heat embossed them in white onto vellum!
again I popped up the sentiment, and then added a line of gold stitching to the top of the card, and some champaign colored sequins to add some shine to the snow!
whew!
so those are my two cards!
There are more amazing projects today over on the WOW blog so pop over there for more inspiration!

I LOVE the products and they really help make your cards stand out and shine!
I created 2 cards for today!
the first one is fall themed!
LOOOOOOVE how this came out!
I started with some aqua cardstock, and then did a little bit of ink blending with Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch and Tumbled Glass!
then I used the Falling Leaves Stencil and Deco Foil Metallix Gel - White Pearl to add some texture to the background!
the leaves were all die cut from the Autumn Leaves Die Set with polka dotted paper, metallic cardstock and Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets - Think Pink and Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets - Sunshine Yellow!
I also did a little bit of ink blending on the flocked leaves! for the yellow leaves I added some Spiced Marmelade and for the pink leaves, I added some Seedless Preserves! love the subtle touch!
this card has texture for days!!
I finished off the card by heat embossing the sentiment from Shades of Autumn Stamp Set!
my next card is Christmas themed - my first one of the year! ha!
eeeeep! love that little sloth!!! I forgot how much I loved that image until I saw it again! I may have even squealed out loud! lol! Slothy Christmas will be sure to get a ton of use from me again this year! ha!
first, I die cut the Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets - White Latte with the Sky Borders Die Set. I also die cut some vellum to layer between the flocked clouds! so fun!
the background was created with the Starfield Stencil and Gina K. Designs Glitz Glitter Gel - White! oh, is that some pretty stuff!!! you're going to want to get your hands on that! ha!
I finished the card by adding the sentiment that was die cut with the Speech Bubbles Die Set!

I used the Puffy Clouds Borders dies to create the treeline! then I used Distress Inks in Abandoned Coral and Dried Marigold to add the fun, fall colors! I also sprinkled lots of the color on top, to give the illusion of texture and 'leaves'.
I colored the birch trees from Joy to the Woods, and then added a TON of leaves from the new Tree Before 'n Afters stamp set!
next, I die cut the ground elements from the Grassy Borders Dies and Stitched Hillside Borders dies! I used Vintage Photo and Mustard Seed Distress Inks to add a fall-ish color to the ground!
oh, and the sky was ink blended with Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch and Mermaid Lagoon! then I finished off the sky with some platters of the SUPER COOL new Liquid Stardust!

hi!
today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog, and it's full of fun and celebration!
so fun, right? ha!
it's perfect for any kind of celebration!
I stamped and colored the images (with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers) from the Cocktail Mixer stamp set and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
I ink blended the background with Distress Inks, but just 2! I used Picked Raspberries and Squeezed Lemonade, and blended them together! then I splattered some water on top. once it was dry, I used the Sunscape Stencil (the rays portion) and used the same colors to ink blend on top! so fun!
lastly, I die cut out the 'cheers' word with black cardstock 4 times to add some height!
be sure to check out the card on the Newton's Nook Designs blog, too!
