National Coffee Day 2020 Blog Hop with Newton's Nook Designs

Happy National Coffee Day! 

Today the Newton's Nook Design Team is hosting a blog hop to celebrate! You can visit all the Design Team Member's blogs and leave comments for a chance to win! for my card, I used the adorable Slothy Coffee stamp set! it's so cute!

I colored it in Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
I used a circle from the Circle Frames Die Set to die cut out a circle from a piece of white cardstock, and used it as a mask! 

then I used Distress Oxide Inks in Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade to create the sun! I also placed the Sunscape Stencil on top and then used the same colors, but with more pressure, for the rays!

then I die cut out the clouds in vellum with the Sky Borders Die Set. I used some white embossing paste and the Falling Leaves Stencil to add some textures flowing in the 'wind', too! ha!
I also added just a smidge of glitter to some of the leaves, for a little sparkly fun!

an extra sweet day!

hello and welcome!

today I have this sweet, cute, adorable card up on the Lawn Fawn blog!
and guess what? there's a video to go along with it! so fun!

 

I think this card turned out so happy and bright and cheerful! perfect for a birthday!
I stamped all of the images from Unicorn Picnic, Fox Costumes Before 'n Afters, and Really High Five!

 

then I colored them all with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and used the coordinating dies to die cut them all out!
I also used the new Lift the Flap Tree Backdrop which adds a fun, surprising interactive twist to it!

 

I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink to add shading to the backdrop! then I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn to add shading to the grass and hills of the Grassy Border and Stitched Hillside!

for the sky I used Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Mermaid Lagoon!
I also heat embossed the small 'yay!' inside one of the flaps! ha!! and I hid one of the party birds behind the other!

finally, I heat embossed the sentiment onto a stop of cardstock and then popped it up with foam tape!

life's a picnic with you!

today I'm back with another fun card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog! woooo!

today, I'm feeling all the fall feels...and wishing the cool breezes would find their way down to SC! lol!

so fun, right?

these adorable critters are so cute, and so happy to be having a fun fall picnic! 

I used the adorable Woodland Picnic stamp set! love them!

I stamped and colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then used the coordinating dies to die cut out the images!

the scene was so fun to make, too! 

I die cut out the grass and hills with the Land Borders Die Set, then used Distress Oxide Inks in Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber! 

then I used the Sky Borders Die Set to create the tree canopy! I used Distress Oxide Inks in Abandoned Coral, Festive Berries and Dried Marigold! LOVE those fall colors!

I also used Blueprint Sketch and Mermaid Lagoon with Distress Oxide Inks for the sky, and splattered some water on top!

the tress were die cut with the Forest Scene Builders Die Set and then I added some color in Pumice Stone Distress Oxide Inks!

so fun!

when life is a little nuts...

hi again!
I'm back today with a card that's up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog! 
of course, it's fitting in with the new challenge - Awesome Autumn! 
woooot!! 

I love this!
this time I made a slimline card with the Slimline with Sliders Die Set! I used Distress Oxide Inks in Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks to ink blend the background! then I splattered some water on top!

I stamped and colored images from a BUNCH of different sets! here we go *deep inhale*:

whew!
it's a lot of sets, but I just had to use every little mouse image I had! lol!! that's what it felt like anyway!
all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out!

I added some glitter to the little sections of the top of the acorn for some fun, and popped up the mice, acorn and strips of the sentiment with foam tape!

oh yeah the sentiment - cracks me up! I used Harold's ABCs to stamp it out!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #85 - Awesome Autumn

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

yay!

yay! i'm SO excited for this challenge! I have this thought, that if I make enough autumn-themed cards, it will cool the weather down here...fingers crossed! lol!

anyway, my card!

yes, I made a pumpkin spice themed card!!
and you either love pumpkin spice, or you hate it! (or you're like me, and you don't drink coffee, so it's not your thing, either way! lol!)
but I have a lot of friends who do like it, and I wanted to make a pinky/orange-y card just for them!

the pumpkins are from the cute Costume Party Stamp Set!
I stamped them a bunch, and then colored them in pinks and oranges and yellows, in a sort of ombre look!
the to go coffees are from Love You a Latte! and I just love that you can add little faces!

I also die cut the leaves from the Stitched Leaves die set from vellum and black and white polka dotted paper! guys...I'm ALWAYS going to use leaf die cuts with vellum and polka dots...I'm going to do it every year, it's just going to happen. lol!



on top of my light kraft cardstock, I used some white embossing paste that I tinted with Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks! then I used the Starry Sky Stencil to add some texture behind everything! love this!

and lastly, I used the Pumpkin Spice stamp set for the sentiment!

Simon Says Stamptember 2020 + Newton's Nook Designs!

yahoooo - it's time to celebrate an awesome, unique and totally exclusive Newton's Nook Designs stamp set with Simon Says Stamp!

 

I just LOVE this stamp set!! it's SO sweet and perfect for ANY time of the year! it's full of the sweetest critters and best birthday wishes! it's perfect for ANY cat or dog lover in your life!
I had a BLAST with this sweet pup on my card!

I stamped and colored everything with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. then i fussy cut it all out and popped up all of the images with foam tape!
I don't know which little pet I love more, the kitty or the puppies! they're ALL so adorable!

for the background, I used the Sunscape Stencil with Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry and Squeezed Lemonade! first, I ink blended the whole background in those colors, then I placed the stencil on top, and used the same colors, but with more pressure to make the darker rays!

 

once that was done, I used the Pawprints Stencil and some white embossing paste to add some texture to the card!
then I stamped the sentiment on top!

Get Cracking on Christmas - Winter Hamsters

today I'm joining Jenn Shurkus as she continues to Get Cracking on those Christmas cards!! I'm sooooooooo excited to be joining her since I'm still in the Christmas card-making mode! ha!!

ok, let's get onto my card!
I used the cutest ever Winter Hamsters stamp set from Waffle Flower Crafts, along with some dies from Lawn Fawn!

so cute!
these Winter Hamsters are just so fun!! and I love that it looks like the one on the end is flying behind! ha!
I stamped and colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then fussy cut them out!

then I used some stickles to add some shine to their shirts and hats! ha! then I added foam tape to the back, and popped them up on the card!
I also die cut out the snowy hills with the Stitched Hillside Borders die set from Lawn Fawn.

I also die cut the mountains from the Stitched Mountain Borders die set! I used Old Paper Distress Inks to add color to the base of the mountains!

for the night sky, I used Wilted Violet and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks! once those were ink blended, I splattered some water and white acrylic ink for the stars!

I finished off the card with a bunch of sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh!

3rd Annual Cutest Video Hop Ever

well, hello there!

Hello and welcome to the 3rd Annual Cutest Video Hop Ever! My little Menn (Jackson and Nolan!) and I are excited to be joining Emily Leiphart for this fun hop, crafting with our kids and inspiring the next generation of crafters! for our video, Jackson and Nolan decided to make book covers! so fun!

We used some paper from the boys' craft room and added gesso to it!

once it was dry, we were ready to start creating!

they both used some of my very old 12x12 stencils, and the Distress Crayons to add the color! 

they also used some Transfer Duo Gel by Deco Foil and added some flocking and foil!

Jackson used some Blue Diamond flock on his polka dots! sooooo fluffy! ha!

Nolan used some Sunshine Yellow flock, as well as Shattered Glass Gold Foil! 

then, they both stamped their names with some old stamps from Create a Smile!

Newton is so happy to be flying through the air with his birthday balloons!
I colored all of the images from Newton's Birthday Balloons with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them all out!

for the background, I did some distress ink blending with Black Soot, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers along with the Clouds Stencil! then I splattered some water on top, because that's 90% of the fun with Distress Inks! ha!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto a strip of black cardstock, and then popped up with foam tape!
