Hello there!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

the current challenge is all about holiday critters, and I'm having a blast making cards with these cute animals!

I love making Holiday cards, especially cards with holiday critters! For this card, I used the Christmas Fishes and Ho-Ho-Holidays images to create this fun under water christmas eve scene! lol! 
I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brushes and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out! I added some details with a white gel pen, and also some chunky glitter to add to the festiveness! 


For the background, I started by ink blending with Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina. Then I used the same colors but added it to the same areas with a paintbrush and some water. Once that was dry, I did more ink blending with the same colors. That process adds to the extra saturation and boldness of the colors! Love it!


The sentiment was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock and then die cut out with the Fancy Wavy Banners.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #137 - Holiday Critters

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

there's no better time of the year than the holidays with Lawn Fawn stamps! lol!

what fun, right? lol!
This is one of my favorite challenges of the year! It’s so easy, and just too cute! 
I used the adorable Mice on Ice images to create the winter pond scene! All of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! Then I added some details with a white gel pen!


I used die cut out the ‘frozen ice’ from white cardstock with the Stitched Pond. Then I used the outside pieces, and added foam tape to them, so they would stand up above and over the ice! I used Distress Oxide inks to blend the icy surface. Then I splattered some color and white acrylic ink on top to add some texture! 
A few of the mice were popped up with foam tape.

I heat embossed part of the sentiment on Vellum, but stamping it in Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry and then using clear embossing paste on top! The rest of the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto a strip of Black Licorice Cardstock.

Get Cracking on Christmas - Reindeer Games

ok, let's get onto my card!
I used the beautiful Cleary Besotted Winter Woodland Stamp Set!

so pretty!

I love those cute critters! I also did some masking and altering to turn the squirrel sitting down into another reindeer! lol! they're so cute! I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut out around it all!
I love that you can make the quickest scene ever with the trees and frozen pond!! so fun!

I used Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina for the sky! then I splattered some water and white acrylic ink on top to mimic a snowy scene! 

I popped up the reindeer with foam tape and added some pink cheeks and white gel pen accents!

Tropical Christmas Slimline Card!

today, I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog, and bonus: there's a video to go along with it!

I decided to make a tropical themed slimline Christmas card! I started by stamping all of the images and the coloring them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. I love how all of Lawn Fawn’s stamps work together! The reindeer are from a bunch of different sets (Ugly & Bright, Ho-Ho-Holidays, and Toboggan Together), and they’re so cute!
The tree, presents, string of christmas lights and other beach accessories are from Beachy Christmas, Furry and Bright, Pool Party and On the Beach. 
Once everything was colored, I added some details with a white gel pen.


I die cut out the white cardstock with the Scalloped Slimline with Hearts: Portrait dies twice. One of the scalloped die cut pieces was used with the Stitched Hillside and Stitched Waves dies to create the scene! 
I used Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina for the ocean wave. 

And then I used Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber for the shore! I also splattered the ink color and white acrylic ink on top to add to the sandy look! 
For the sky, I used Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold, Abandoned Coral and Picked Raspberry!
Then I used the same colors with the Snowflake Background Stencils, but with more pressure to add the tone-on-tone snowy scene! 


I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock and then fussy cut around it!
I finished the card off with some accents of Chunky Glitter!

all the pumpkins!

hello!
today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook blog! and I'm feeling all the fall feels!

so pretty!
I used some Transfer Duo Gel and the Jack-o'-lantern Stencil Set! once it was dry, I used 2 different shades of pink foil (Pink Melon and Pink Quartz) and 2 different flocks in shades of pink (Pink Carnation and Think Pink).
once the pumpkins were done, I used some gold embossing paste for the stems!

I also die cut some leaves from pink cardstock with the Autumn Leaves die set! the sentiment is from Newton's Pumpkin Patch. it was heat embossed onto a banner using the Banner Trio Die Set.

I finished off the card with a sprinkle of gold sequins!
I love the shine and texture of this card!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #136 - Make the Sentiment the Star

I loooooove making the sentiment the star! and this time, I put a holiday twist on it!

what fun, right? lol!

 

All of the images were stamped and then colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out with the coordinating dies! I used images from Furry and Bright, Winter Skies, Joy to All and Ho-Ho-Holidays!
I colored all of the dogs with the same colors, and added pink cheeks to them, of course! Ha!


 

 

I die cut out the cardfront with the Scalloped Slimline with Hearts: Portrait die set. Then I used Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina. Then I used the Snowflake Background Stencils and the same colors, but with more pressure when ink blending, to add the tone-on-tone winter sky! 


 

I die cut out the letters with Henry’s ABCs from white cardstock, and when it was adhered to the card, I added the Chunky Glitter to add some wintery fun!
The rest of the custom sentiment was created with Harold’s ABCs and heat embossed it in white on black cardstock.
