Create a Smile Stamps January 2018 Release!

hello!
I'm so excited for today!
today is the official release of the new January stencils, dies and stamp set for Create a Smile
I think I used every product at least once on my cards! so let's dive in!

my first card uses the one of the new stencils as well as the new Hello Times Two die!

so happy and fun!
so fun fact: the rainbow colors are actually the reverse of the stencil! i used my Distress Oxide ink pads and smeared them all over the top of the stencil. then I spritzed it with water and placed it down on my cardstock! I used a paper towel to pat down any excess water/color and then lifted up the stencil! soooooo pretty!

I die cut the 'hello' 5 times and glued them together to add height. then heat embossed the sentiment from Just Saying Hello (an older stamp set) which just works perfectly together!
I finished off the card with some Pretty Pink Posh sequins

my second card is just as fun!
I used the new Lucent Landscapes stamp set (which is soooooo pretty!), as well as the new Postage Edge Circles Dies and the other new stencil being released!

eeep! so fun!
to start, I stamped the landscape image in Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide inks onto a piece of white cardstock.
Then I colored in the houses and trees with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once it was dry, I did some more Distress Ink blending right on top of the images!! and it worked so well!

I heat embossed the sentiment from Friends Like You (an older set), and then used the You Times Two die to add the sentiment!
the background was created with the big polka dotted stencil and some light grey mist!

hope you're inspired by this new release!
we can't wait to see what you all make!
enjoy!

being awesome!

hello!!

today I have this *fun* card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!
it had been a hot minute since I used the ADORABLE Believe in Unicorns stamps and coordinating dies! so I had to remedy that situation ASAP! lol!

so sweet! so rainbow-y! love it!
I used the Sky Borders Dies to create a mask/stencil kind of thing with white cardstock, and created my rainbow sky! I used various Distress Oxide Ink colors and a blending tool to do the rainbow-ing! :) then I used the Frames and Flags dies to add the scalloped edge to the cardstock!

I colored in the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then added some glitter to the horn and heart!
lastly, I used the Waves Stencil and some white embossing paste to add texture to the background! LOVE how that looks!

hope this card has you inspired to get some crafting done!
enjoy!

oh happy day!

i always always always think of this scene from Sister Act when I hear/see/say "oh happy day"! ha ha ha!! and now it's stuck in my head all over again! :)

anyway! with that being said, today I have this FUN card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

i was inspired by the latest Mood Board challenge, I seriously LOVE this mood board, swoon!
have you played along yet?

everything is from the Hello Sunshine stamp set! the balloons were stamped with Word Lipstick and Candied Apple Distress Oxide Inks using the 'rock and roll' technique. then I fussy cut them out and popped them up with foam tape!

the balloon strings and sentiment are heat embossed in black for a punch of color!

to create the background, first I mixed two little dabs of white embossing paste. one was mixed with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink and the other was mixed with Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Ink. once they were mixed well, I used my craft knife and spread the colors directly onto my cardfront. no stencil used!! I even mixed the two colors together a little. LOVE the way the sky looks in real life! it has dimension and texure, which makes it different from ink blending!

anyway, be sure to check my card out on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog and play along with the latest challenge! :)
enjoy!

hello and happy day!
today I am sharing the cutest Reverse Confetti card I made with my son in mind! :)

he's currently all about the pandas! he did a report on them for school in 2nd grade, and ever since, he's been in love with them! and this card is just for him!

I colored the panda's from Miso Happy with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut them out!

for the background, I used a piece of mint patterned paper the newly released Forever My Love 6x6 paper pad and then added shading with Distress Oxide Inks in Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron right on top of the pattern!
then I heat embossed the sentiment in black and added some sequins to finish off the card!
