walking in a winter wonderland

i finally found a little bit of spare time to get crafty. so naturally, i had to make something for the latest challenge at lawnscaping; and it's a winter wonderland theme!

by the way, i just think that image for the challenge is too cute!!

i decided to make another layout, why not?!

this one if from when my big, little mann saw snow for the first time! he was only 5 months old, so he wasn't very impressed!

i used the lawn fawn stamps: frosties, making frosty friends and harold's abc's. :)

i punched some circles and hearts (welcome back small heart stamp, my old friend!). then i lined them up with the big snowflakes and sewed them on the layout.

after that, i used my versamark watermark stamp pad to add a few more snowflakes. i was going for subtle.

this layout actually has a lot of little touches.

the background of the cardstock. it's just plain kraft cardstock, but i glimmer-misted it like nobody's business. and it's subtly, sparkly! i like it! ps - it looks WAY better in person; it was hard for me to photograph. sigh.

i also added some teal distress ink to the edges of the layout.

today was actually chilly here (i'm finding out that SC is much warmer than i'm used to!), so i was inspired to make a snowy layout!

enjoy!

jackson's 1st birthday layout

ok, this is going to be the fastest blog post written in the history of the world!!

...and that's saying something! :)

i FINALLY made this layout for the challenge at lawnscaping - birthdays! ps - happy 1st birthday to you too, lawnscaping!! :)

here's my layout:

i distressed the background paper myself with some spray mist. love it!

i used the lawn fawn stamps:

bannerific

harold's abc's

love n breakfast

quinn's abc's

i glossed the large sentiment for some fun, i love the muted tones of this layout!

the picture up top is actually on top of an envelope i made which contains other pictures from his birthday celebration. like most people who have family out of town, his birthday was celebrated multiple times with different family! :)

ok, that's it!

i can't believe i almost didn't make this challenge! i blame work!! :)

enjoy!

a masculine baby card?

alright, here i am with my last entry for the CHA contest over at lawn fawn!

i'll make this a quick post! so, here's my card:

is it a little masculine? i was going for a masculine feel for the card, and then i thought...uh, sam...a masculine baby card?! i don't know what i was thinking, maybe i was drink on color! because i love that color combination! :)

i weaved some of my ribbons together on the side. the nestabilities label is popped up for dimension. the mobile is heat embossed, and then the moon and stars are also popped up. then i added some glossy shine to the moon and stars, i love the subtle feel it gives off!

the carriage is paper pieced, and it's hard to tell, but i added the mini star the center of the wheels.

so that's my card!

enjoy!

its a girl!

...for someone out there, anyway! :)

i made another card for the contest over at lawn fawn! check out the details *here*!

on with my card:

i made a window card with the cutest mobile stamp you've ever seen! (lawn fawn's plus one stamp set). it's a fairly straight forward card - white on white, minimalist, and bright!

i made a banner for the sentiment and then outlined it in soft (white!) glitter. i am just in LOVE with the grey/yellow color combo. and i LOVE accenting it with pink (or teal! hint hint - i made another card to share with those colors!)

so that's it!

enjoy! and happy lawn fawning to you!

a few buns in the ovens

i'm back with two more cards for the contest over at lawn fawn - you can get all the details *here*:

i made two very similar cards, and here they are:

both ovens/muffins are paper pieced, and they both have some form of bling! :) (stamps are from the 'plus one' stamp set) both cards also square-shaped to mimic the shape of the oven.

for the 1st card i went with a 1950's feel for the oven and made it shades of avocado green - i love it! and i'm always partail to the color combination of green and pink...so it seemed only natural! :)

i also glitterized the heart images from the plus one set for that added pizzaz.

the 2nd card, i went with a more modern feel - stainless steel! :) ha ha! i also white embossed (i love white on white!!) the sentiment behind the image for a more subtle approach. i created a paper rose and added a leaf (from critters in the forest) to complete the look. i love how girly it makes the oven look! :)

lastly, the sparkly glitter ribbon was added to tie in the rose.

so, what are you waiting for? get your crafty on and submit a card for this awesome contest! :)

enjoy!
