hello again!
today I have another card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

I kept the current challenge in mind for this card, and I was totally inspired by the sparkler image in the bottom left! soooo cool!

love it!
I thought it would be a fun idea to make the volcano look like the sparkler for these dinos! they're all ready for the new years party!

I colored the images from Rawrsome with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
for the background, I used Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire and Iced Spruce - that was the best combination I could come up with the mimic the colors in the sparkler sky image!
I used Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Inks for the ground. then I splattered the same colors over that area to create a gravel-y look!

to create the sparkler look, I splattered some Distress Paint in Abandoned Coral, Mustard Seed and Dried Marigold! once that was dry, I also used the Liquid Stardust to add some shine!

today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog - and it's all about the mood board!
for this card, I made the background using the same technique as my other card, but with different colors!

I used Black Soot and Iced Spruce Distress Oxide Inks to ink blend the background. then I sprinkled water and white acrylic paint on top.
once that was dry, I used the circles in varying sizes from the Let's Bokeh stamp set to create the bokeh-ish background! I heat embossed the sizes in different clear finishes, such as clear sparkle, clear and pearlescent clear!

I heat embossed the trees from Let it Snow in black onto vellum, and then added them with foam tape to the sky!
I also heat embossed the phrase from Snowy Backdrops in black underneath it!

to finish off the card, I used some rainbow-y sequins in different sizes!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #91 - new year inspiration

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

ooooo, so gorgeous, right? I loooooove all of the photos! and I love the subdued color palette, too!!! just winning all around!

 

 
eeeeep! love it!
I used the Let's Bokeh stamp set to create a bokeh background! what fun!
I started by ink blending the background in Chipped Sapphire, Seedless Preserves and Milled Lavender Distress Oxide Inks! then I splattered some water on the background!

once it was dry, I did lots of heat embossing! a LOT of heat embossing! I stamped the circles in various sizes all around, and then either heat embossed it in Clear, Sparkle Clear or Pearl clear! oooooo!! ha!

then I heat embossed part of the sentiment in white onto some vellum, and fussy cut around it! I finished the card off with sequins all over, too!

ok, let's get onto my card!
I combined a bunch of companies on my card - and it's wonderful! lol

so cute, right?
I used the images from the Fa-La-La Stamp and Die set from Waffle Flower Crafts! Those images are just the cutest! and I looooooove the mice singing!! ha!! adorable! I colored them all with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto a strop of black cardstock, and then popped it, and the mice up with foam tape!

I used Distress Oxide Inks in Mermaid Lagoon, Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot and Cracked Pistachio for the winter sky! then I added some beautiful Christmas-star-ish stars to the background with the Twinkle Stencil from Create a Smile Stamps! LOVE!!

having a cozy christmas card

hi there!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog! it's always an exciting time!
this time, I'm sharing a wintery, wonderful card that's sure to send you some warm and cozy wishes!
I also made a video - so be sure to check it out, if you want to see it in action! lol!

love this card!
this little bear family is so sweet...and a little mischievous, too!
I stamped and colored all of the images from Den Sweet Den, Christmas Dreams, Snow Much Fun and Yeti or Not and used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.

I used Distress Oxide Ink in Black Soot, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, and Mermaid Lagoon! so pretty for that night sky! then I used some white embossing paste and the Starry Sky Stencil to add the beautiful texture!

I added foam tape to all of the little cubs, as well as the stockings and the cookies! then I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto vellum and cut a banner edge on one side!
I also used the Puffy Clouds and Stitched Hillside Borders dies for some snow!

warm and cozy feelings!

hello!
today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog! and hopefully, it's sending you warm and cozy vibes!

love it!
I used images from the Holiday Stockings, Sweater Weather and Sun Soaked Christmas and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! then I used the coordinating dies to die cut them! and bonus! the dies from Stylish Stockings work with that set and the Holiday Stockings stamp set!

I colored them all with similar colors, so that they pop against my background!
I used a soft, neutral color for the background, and then used the Gingham Stencil and some of the Transfer Duo Gel to add FLOCK to my card!!
that's right! see? it IS warm and cozy!! so soft! ha!

I also used some twine for my images along that branch from What a Hoot!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #90 - Mood Board Inspiration

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

isn't that so beautiful?! Jenn really outdid herself with this one!
and somehow...this beautiful scheme reminded me of yetis!!! lol!

eeeeep! love those happy, winter-y guys!
I colored the images from Yeti or Not with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut them out! then, I die cut out the mountains from the Stitched Mountain Borders in various shades of grey cardsock (Fog and Storm Cloud), as well as white cardstock!

 

for that sky (so pretty!) I used Distress Oxide Inks in Seedless Preserves and Picked Raspberry and then added a tiny bit of Chipped Sapphire to the top for a little shading! SO love that combo!! then of course, I splattered some white acrylic paint and water on top!

I finished off the card with the sentiment heat embossed in white onto some Blue Jay Cardstock!

for my card, I used the super cute and winter-magic-y Nutcracker Squeak stamp set!

I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, then I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out! I think the mice are just soooo sweet and the Nutcracker is one of my favorite things about the holiday season!

next, I die cut out the background with both the Slimline Frames & Portholes and Slimline Frames & Windows die sets! I used the squares and ink blended them with Evergreen Bough, Cracked Pistachio and a tiny bit of Mermaid Lagoon to darken the top in Distress Oxide Inks!
then I attached them evenly across the scalloped panel, and then used the Snowfall Stencil and some glittery embossing paste to add to the magic and whimsy!

then I placed the Music Stencil on my card base and used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to add some subtle texture to the background.

then I heat embossed the sentiment in black onto vellum and fussy cut out around it.

hello and happy Wednesday!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

for the current challenge, we're all about holiday critters, and what's better than a magical sleigh pulled by a team of christmas unicorns?

I looooove this card!
the slimline format is the BEST way to show this scene off! I used the Large Slimline with Sliders die set for my background!

I started by using Distress Inks in Black Soot, Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral and Dried Marigold to ink blend the background! then I splattered on some water and white acrylic paint! once it was dry, I used the perfect Snowflake Trio Stencil to add some texture to the background with white embossing paste!

I stamped the unicorns from Unicorn Picnic, A Little Sparkle and Winter Unicorn and the sleigh and santa's bag from Ho-Ho-Holidays! I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut them out!
I also added foam tape to all of the unicorns so they're popped up!

lastly, I used the Puffy Cloud Borders and die cut out some clouds from white cardstock and vellum!
and that's my card!

Fawny Holiday Week 2020 - Day 6

another Fawny Holiday week in the books!

I'm so excited for this week on the Lawn Fawn blog - the Fawny Holiday week! 
and I'm lucky enough to be able to participate as part of the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge design team!

I'm finishing out this week with a sweet, winter scene!

aw, I just love those guys!
I used the images from Beary Happy Holidays and colored them all in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! then I fussy cut them out! I'm all for making your own christmas gifts, and that's exactly what this little polar bear is doing! ha!

I die cut out some ice with the Stitched Pond die, and then used the negative pieces instead, and popped them up with foam tape! I added some ink blending to the edges with Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers Distress inks! then I splattered some water and acrylic ink on top!

finally, I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto a strip of Black Licorice Cardstock!

Fawny Holiday Week 2020 - Day 5

hi again!
I'm so excited for this week on the Lawn Fawn blog - the Fawny Holiday week! 
and I'm lucky enough to be able to participate as part of the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge design team!

today's post is a scrapbook layout! I couldn't let the celebration go by without sharing a layout! ha!

so fun!

I started by covering my whole paper in white gesso. once that was dry, I added the snowflakes with embossing paste and the Snowflake Trio Stencil! then I added the watercolor in aquas and dark teals! once that was dry, I was able to start scrapping! lol!

I die cut out the title from Black Licorice cardstock using the Oliver's Stitched ABCs dies! then I popped them all up with foam tape! I also heat embossed the 'christmas' onto black cardstock, from the Christmas Dreams stamp set! I fussy cut it out, and also popped it up with foam tape!

I used the cute little gingerbread man from Oh Snap to be the 'A' in the title!

I stamped and colored in a few more of the cookies, and I just had to include the broken one...there's always a few cookies that never make it to the oven! lol!
I used some papers from Snow Day Remix to back my photos, along with tissue paper, and did a little embellishing with some woodgrain snowflakes and a bow!

Newton's Nook Designs Winter Release - Newton’s Snowman + coordinating die and Happy New Year Stamp Set

well, we made it!! it's day 4 of Newton's Nook Designs' October release!

 

and as you can tell, it's all about that winter wonderland! yay!

oh how I love all of these new stamps, stencils and dies!! just wait until you see it all! but in the mean time, check out what we're working with today: Newton’s Snowman + coordinating die and Happy New Year Stamp Set.
you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on November 20th, right here! 

my first card uses the mini Happy New Year stamp set!

it's so fun, right? I used the Slimline Frames & Portholes die set for the base of my card. then I used the Balloon Shaker Die Set to die cut out 2 vellum and 1 white cardstock balloon! I used Distress Inks to add color to the balloons! I looooove vellum balloons! 

then I heat embossed the image onto the yellow balloon and attached them to the card!

lastly, I used some sprakly embossing paste and the Cascading Stars Stencil to add a little more shine and sparkle to the celebratory card!!

my next card uses the new Newton's Snowman set, and I am in love with that image!



so fun!
I used the Sky Borders Die Set to create some bumpy, fluffy snow for this scene!

and for the background, I used Distress Oxide Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio. then I splattered some water and white acrylic paint on top! then once it was all dry, I used the Sunscape stencil and some more of the sparkly embossing paste on top! ooooooo! lol!

I colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut it out with the coordinating die! I also used the Speech Bubbles Die Set for the phrase, which was heat embossed in white! then I used the same colors as the background to add color to the speech bubble! which I backed by another speech bubble die cut from black and white patterned paper!
