Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #164 - Let's Celebrate

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

yay! 

 

 

I had so much fun making this sweet, baby-themed and shaped card!

 

One of my favorite older sets is Plus One!
It was one of my first Lawn Fawn sets, and the images are SOOOO cute and sweet and perfect for welcoming a new baby! I used the cute umbrella - which I LOOOOOVE and use for non-baby themed cards too! 

 

the images were colored them in various shades of pinks and reds with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. 
I added some details with a white gel pen, too. then I fussy cut them out.

I die cut out a bunch of clouds with the Stitched Cloud Frames and Outside in Stitched Cloud Stackables! I used Distress Oxide Inks in Black Soot and Lost Shadow to add some color and texture to the white cardstock. Then I splatted some white acrylic ink on top! 


 

I popped up the small clouds and the umbrella images with foram tape. and then I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto some black cardstock that I trimmed into a banner shape!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #77 - Oh Baby!

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge team is SO EXCITED to be celebrating Kelly Marie and the newest fawnie addition!! 
this challenge is all about babies!

I decided to create a slimline card with the images from Plus One! I stamped and colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! once they were dry, I fussy cut the out! 
I also added some glitter to each of the tiny rain drops! 

I used some very light grey cardstock, and splattered some white acrylic ink on the background to mimic rain! and I die cut some clouds in vellum and white cardstock with the Puffy Cloud Borders die! 

I decided to color the umbrellas with various shades of reds, pinks and peaches so the umbrellas would POP on the card!
I heat embossed the sentiment onto a strip of the vellum grass (created with the Grassy Border die), from the Hello Baby stamp set!

I die cut out some clouds with the Outside In Stitched Cloud Stackables then ink blended in Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch! I heat embossed the sentiment onto the large cloud!

lawnscaping challenge #99 - clean and simple!

february is here! woo-hoo!
and today starts a brand new Lawnscaping Challenge! and this one is a favorite of mine! clean and simple!

oh yeah! this is something i love anyway, and i CAN'T WAIT to see all of the amazing creations everyone makes!

i made my card for a friend who is expecting a baby (on Valentine's Day, no less!)! she had her shower the other day, and of course i had to make her a card! :)

i added some gesso to the top middle of my white card front. once it was dry, i added some yellow watercolor with my Mustard Seed distress ink to create a little scene!

the duck is from Hello Baby and that little duckling is actually the bird from Happy Everything! i masked his beak off and added the beak from the duck image instead! easy peasy!! (i also did this on the layout i created a few days ago! you can see it here, if you're so inclined!)

i stamped the sentiment onto some vellum and stitched it so that it bubbled up from the card base, just because i could! all of the images were colored with copics!
