Newton's Nook Designs January Release - It’s a Plan and Newton Makes a Plan + coordinating Dies

hello!

today is day 1 of Newton's Nook Designs January release - the very first of this new year!

I am super in love with this release!
these sets are so FUN and dude...they're Newton's Nooks' very FIRST planner-aimed sets - It’s a Plan and Newton Makes a Plan + coordinating Dies!
you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on January 18th, right here! 

my card combined BOTH new sets, in a fun way!!

I have future plans to use these sets in my planner, but in the meantime, I thought it would be FUN and exciting to make a birthday card with them!!

I used a circle to mask off an area, and then a ton OF Distress Inks to create the RAINBOW background. 

then I used the fun words and stamped in the coordinating ink colors to create an unconventional birthday 'to do' list! ha!

the cute cats were colored with Zig Clea Color Real Brush Markers, and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out! 

the sentiment was heat embossed in white, onto a strip of black cardstock.

Create a Smile January 2019 Release!

wooooo!
it's time for the Create a Smile Stamps January release, and it's SOOOOO CUTE!!! there are dies, there are stamps and there is, of course, fun!!

I created two cards with some of the new products, and you're going to go all HEART EYES for the cards the rest of the team created!! be sure to check them out!

my first card uses the gorgeous new Fine Ferns stamp set!

I made a wreath with the long, solid images! I used Twisted Citron and Cracked Postachio Distress Oxide Inks to do the rock and roll technique! then I sprinkled in some of the smaller, solid leaf image in Cracked Pistachio and Lucky Clover! 

the sentiment was created with the gorgeous letters from Lettering Alphas, that I heat embossed in gold onto some vellum, and then fussy cut out!
I also stitched along the wreath, and finished off the card with some gold glitter, enamel dots!

my next card uses the sweet, pretty and versatile, Birthday Cool Cuts!

yay, so fun!
I create some fun backgrounds with alcohol inks and then used the dies to die cut these fun words out! I stacked the die cuts to give it some height! and then combined phrases from Message in a Bottle and Mini Birthday - which is the PERFECT companion to this new die!

I also used Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Inks on top of a light grey cardstock, to create the background! so magical!

Peek-a-boo, I Love You!

today I'm sharing a cute, interactive card using some of the new products from Lawn Fawn's Valentines Day release! and BONUS: this is also up on the Lawn Fawn Blog, along with some of my other amazing Lawn Fawnatics Challenge teammates, be sure to check it out!!

I used the adooooooorable I Love You(calyptus) mini stamp set along with the new Let's Toast Pull Tab Add-On die! surprise!!

eeeep! I just love it!
the background was created by Distress Ink blending with Picked Raspberries, Worn Lipstick and Dried Marigold! love the warm, pinks and oranges!! 

I used the clouds from the Puffy Cloud Borders Die to add to the whimsy! and the balloons were attached to the koala (so they move up and down, too!!) with a strip of acetate! 

I love how this came out, and it just makes me smile!

happy friday to all!
today I have card up on the Newton's Nook blog...I'm channeling some summer vibes, since it's been in the high 60's low 70's all week! geez! what kind of winter is this?! lol! typical southern winter! 

anyway, maybe it will send some warm vibes to those of you in the snow and cold!

love it!
I colored in the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then added some sparkle to the tale and top of the narwhal! :) that Narly Mermaids stamp set is seriously soooo cute!

the background was ink blended with Distress Oxide Inks in Candied Apple, Picked Raspberries, Worn Lipstick and Dried Marigold! 
the waves are blended onto vellum with Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feathers, and then I tore the top edge of the vellum for some texture!

I also used the Starfield Stencil and some white embossing paste for the stars, love this night scene!

for my card, I used the Beautiful Wings Die set and die cut out 3 different sizes of butterflies from black and white spotted paper and some alcohol ink backgrounds I created with blues and purples! 

LOVE these layered butterflies!
the sentiment was from the perfectly encouraging Newton's Support stamp set!

the background was created with some white embossing paste and a striped stencil from Altenew! fun!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #44 - Happy Little Critters

happy Monday!
let's start this week (and new month!) off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

the new challenge couldn't be MORE lawn fawn: critters!

yay!
I love ALL of the lawn fawn critters, and for my first card of the new year, I went all out in the under the sea theme!!

LOOOOOOVE this card! and that's just the beginning! ha!
I used the cute little scuba diver from You are Sublime, along with some of the fish. I also used some fish from Fintastic Friends, too! 
The party hats and balloon are from Party Animal and I did a lot of Distress Ink blending of the sand and sea! 

but that's not all! when the card is opened, it's still a party!

I used the whale and sentiment from Critters in the Sea along with the Everyday Pop-Ups die!!! loooove the fun pop up surprise! I also used the Ocean Wave Border dies for the waves on top! 

I really can't WAIT for you to play along! you could win a $25 gift certificate to Lawn Fawn!!!!
