I finished off the card by heat embossing the sentiments in white onto black cardstock

my second card uses the new Destination Love stamps and dies!

It's been so long since I made a wedding card! and honestly, I'm not that great at it! ha!
but I do like how this card turned out! I used some black gesso and a dry brush to add the bold background! then I die cut out a vellum circle using the Circle Frames Die Set and then crumpled it up for texture!

I heat embossed part of the sentiment onto a pink banner that was die cut using the Banner Trio Die Set!

hello and happy day!!

today Sweet Stamp Shop is releasing they're May bundle of stamps!!! and best news ever...it's all adorable!! ha ha!
(and don't worry, if you don't want every set in this release, the individuals will be released tomorrow!)
here's the sample of stamps being released!

amazing, right?! literally something for everyone! literally amazing! i love it all! and the Aloha set...swoon!! LOVE! and whimsical Floral Crowns...it's another large stamp set and it's INCREDIBLE!

my first card uses one of the workout sets!

I combined it with the Sticky Sweets - Be Fit sticker sheet, what a perfect match!!!
the stickers were colored with Distress Markers, and then I attached them to the card with foam tape! STICKERS ARE THE BOMB! no fussy cutting people! ha!
I also used the smaller images from the stamp set to stamp along the side of the card! love this!

my second card uses the Aloha stamp set, because it's so freaking cute! ha!

all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then fussy cut out!
I heat embossed the sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock that I turned into a banner! the background was created by ink blending Distress Inks and then splattering water and colored ink on top! I love that little surfing kitty!

my final project features 2 cards with the Floral Crown stamp set, and these cards are so sweet and lovely!

...if I do say so myself! ha!
again, I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and fussy cut them out. one of the cards uses the image cut with a white edge around everything, and the other image was cut against the black outline!
the soft kraft like paper has some white embossing paste stripes (made with a stencil) and drops of white acrylic ink! I heat embossed the sentiments from the Prince Charming stamp set in white onto vellum and attached it to the card!
to finish off the card, I used two different colors of the thin washi tape along the edges! sooooo sweet! love these cards!

be sure to check out the new release now
we can't wait to see what you make!
enjoy!

Newton's Nook Designs April Release - Wedding Frills Stamp Set + coordinating Die and Floral Lace Stencil

hello and welcome to day 2 of Newton's Nook Designs April release!

and oh my gosh you guys...this release is so completely amazing! I'm in LOVE with each new set, and I can't wait for you all to see it, too! it's so spring, and new beginnings and FUN!
today we have a new stamp set/dies and a new stencil: Wedding Frills Stamp Set + coordinating Die and Floral Lace Stencil
you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on April 20th, right here!

first, I created a card with just the stencil!

ok, I also used a stamp from the Birthday Essentials stamp set! you got me!
but that background - all the stencil!! and isn't it gorgeous?!

first I used white embossing paste over the stencil, removed the stencil and let it dry. once it was dry, I placed the stencil back on, and rubbed in some color with gelatos and Distress Crayons!! LOOOOOOOOOVE how bright the colors on!! and it was SO FUN!

the aforementioned sentiment was heat embossed in black onto vellum and then fussy cut out! love it!!

for my 2nd card I went monochromatic!!

it's totally something different for me! first of all, I didn't use white cardstock!! shcoking!! second, I don't usually do monochromatic! but I do LOVE how this card came out!

I heat embossed the flowers (gorgeous!) in white and then used Picked Raspberries and Worn Lipstick Distress Inks to ink blend over them until the middle.
then I splattered some color over the area too!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white on vellum, and then fussy cut out. and I finished the card with some sparkling clear sequins!
definitely SUPER girly, but I can get away with it because it's for a wedding, right?! ha!

Newton's Nook Designs May Release - Years of Cheers

it's the most wonderful time of the month! today starts the May release week with Newton's Nook Designs! i just LOVE release weeks!

today, the whole DT is showcasing the new, super adorable and comforting
Years of Cheers stamp set!! don't you just LOVE this set? this set is so elegant and perfect for celebrating the good times and milestones in your life! you can totally use this to scrapbook, create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on May 15th, right here!

for my first card, i was totally channeling the gold theme (like most of my teamies! ha!)

i used some gorgeous gold-ish diagonal striped patterned paper and also spritzed that with some gold color shine! then i heat embossed the sentiment with gold on the doily!

i colored the champagne glasses with copics and added some messy stitching around the sentiment, and top of the card.

i love the layers and splatters on this wedding or anniversary card!

my 2nd card was really FUN (and a little messy!) to make!

i used mustard seed to add some watercolor to my card base. and once it was dry, i flicked some water on to add the 'bubbles' of champagne! :)

i heat embossed the glasses in white and then created this adorable little banner for the sentiment!

i heat embossed on some woodgrain paper, and added some soft pink pleating with tissue paper. i also decorated that paper clip by stitching some pink ribbon on top!

Would you like to win “Years of Cheers”?
This set will be given away to ONE lucky winner

this calls for a toast!

*giggle giggle*

i've been conceptualizing this card for a while, and i was finally able to make it the other day! and i just love it! it totally makes me laugh, and it's probably some of my favorite images from lawn fawn!

i made this card for the two challenges going on over at lawnscaping! the design team member search and the clean and simple challenge! :)

i actually used four different lawn fawn stamp sets for this card, love 'n breakfast, harold's abc's, pa-rum-pa-pum-pum and making frosty friends! :) here it is:

so cute and fun, right?! lol! i fussy cut and paper pieced everything, and that was half of the fun! the little bride's 'veil' was made by c

ombining the bow from pa-rum-pa-pum-pum and the scarf tails from making frosty friends! and i just LOVE that oversized top hat on mr toast! i added glossy accents to the white of his hat, and the tiny little heart on the toaster.

mr and mrs toast, and the toaster, are popped up for dimension , which totally works, since they're clearly jumping for joy! :)
so that's it!
enjoy!
