we made it to the last day of the Newton's Nook Designs June release!

and sooooo versatile!

farmer newton is cracking me up with those overalls!

I stamped and colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out! once it was dry, I used a white gel pen to add a few details!

I die cut out the paper from the new Farmyard Paper Pad with the Basic Frames die set. love that bold cow print!

I heat embossed the sentiment in white and then die cut it out with the Speech Bubbles Die Set. I added color to it with Distress Inks in Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and just a whisper of Pine Needles. lol!

3rd Annual Cutest Video Hop Ever

well, hello there!

Hello and welcome to the 3rd Annual Cutest Video Hop Ever! My little Menn (Jackson and Nolan!) and I are excited to be joining Emily Leiphart for this fun hop, crafting with our kids and inspiring the next generation of crafters! We hope you have as much fun watching us craft with our kids, as much as we enjoyed creating these projects to share with you.

for our video, Jackson and Nolan decided to make book covers! so fun!

We used some paper from the boys' craft room and added gesso to it!

once it was dry, we were ready to start creating!

they both used some of my very old 12x12 stencils, and the Distress Crayons to add the color! 

they also used some Transfer Duo Gel by Deco Foil and added some flocking and foil!

Jackson used some Blue Diamond flock on his polka dots! sooooo fluffy! ha!

Nolan used some Sunshine Yellow flock, as well as Shattered Glass Gold Foil! 

then, they both stamped their names with some old stamps from Create a Smile!

Newton's Nook Designs April Release - Wedding Frills Stamp Set + coordinating Die and Floral Lace Stencil

hello and welcome to day 2 of Newton's Nook Designs April release!

and oh my gosh you guys...this release is so completely amazing! I'm in LOVE with each new set, and I can't wait for you all to see it, too! it's so spring, and new beginnings and FUN!
today we have a new stamp set/dies and a new stencil: Wedding Frills Stamp Set + coordinating Die and Floral Lace Stencil! 
you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on April 20th, right here!

first, I created a card with just the stencil!

ok, I also used a stamp from the Birthday Essentials stamp set! you got me!

but that background - all the stencil!! and isn't it gorgeous?!

first I used white embossing paste over the stencil, removed the stencil and let it dry. once it was dry, I placed the stencil back on, and rubbed in some color with gelatos and Distress Crayons!! LOOOOOOOOOVE how bright the colors on!! and it was SO FUN!

the aforementioned sentiment was heat embossed in black onto vellum and then fussy cut out! love it!!

for my 2nd card I went monochromatic!!

it's totally something different for me! first of all, I didn't use white cardstock!! shcoking!! second, I don't usually do monochromatic! but I do LOVE how this card came out!

I heat embossed the flowers (gorgeous!) in white and then used Picked Raspberries and Worn Lipstick Distress Inks to ink blend over them until the middle.
then I splattered some color over the area too!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white on vellum, and then fussy cut out. and I finished the card with some sparkling clear sequins! 

definitely SUPER girly, but I can get away with it because it's for a wedding, right?! ha!

love this!! a layout

hi hi hi!
today i have this fun layout up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog! 

i used the new Newton Dreams of Italy stamp set because...well...that spaghetti image was just TOO MUCH like my littlest little Mann when he eats spaghetti! ha!

i colored the Newton image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut it out! i used the 'amore' phrase from the set to stamp in the background around the mixed media business! ha! i used a little gesso on the paper, then my Distress Crayons to create the smudgy color behind the cluster and photo! 

i stitched on the title, and around the cluster at the bottom of the page, then embellished!
