I stamped the images from All the Clouds and Rain or Shine Before 'n Afters, then colored them all with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers...and of course, I couldn't resist adding some cute smiles to all of the faces!
then I used the coordinating dies to die cut them all out.

I used some acrylic paint in aqua and a Persian blue, and with a dry brush, blended the colors vertically. while that dried, I added foam tape to all of the images. and once the paint was dry, I used the Fairy Dust paste and Starry Sky Stencil to add some sparkly texture!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #76 - Anything But a Card

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

yay!

today, we're doing something a little different and asking you all to make anything!! ...anything but a card! ha!
so fun!!
of course, I had to create a layout!

Kicking It! Scrapbook Layout by Samantha Mann, Lawn Fawn, Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, Mixed Media, Clouds, Soccer, Scrapbooking #lawnfawn #lawnfawnatics #scrapbooklayout #layout #scrapbooking #mixedmedia #stamping

these are some older photos of my son, when he first played soccer! he was 3, and adorable!! ha!! and I just came across these photos and had to share!

I used a bunch of different Lawn Fawn products!

I started by using a dry brush and some lime green acrylic paint to create the background! once that was dry, I used some white embossing paste and a stencil to create the texture!
I used the tiny star and cloud images from Starry Backdrops to do some stamping (and ghost stamping!) on the background too!

Kicking It! Scrapbook Layout by Samantha Mann, Lawn Fawn, Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, Mixed Media, Clouds, Soccer, Scrapbooking #lawnfawn #lawnfawnatics #scrapbooklayout #layout #scrapbooking #mixedmedia #stamping

I used various papers from Hello Sunshine Remix and Dandy Day!
for the layered clouds, I used some vellum, watercolored paper from my stash that I had created before with Distress Inks, and polka-dotted washi tape! I die cut many cloud shapes using both the Stitched Cloud Frames and Outside In Stitched Cloud Stackables dies! then I layered them on top of each other, and stitched them together with my sewing machine!

love that texture!
the title was die cut using Oliver's Stitched ABCs and some Black Licorice Cardstock! I popped up each letter with foam tape, too!

I really can't WAIT for you to play along! you could win a $25 gift certificate to Lawn Fawn!!!!
enjoy!

you've got a friend in me layout!

**this is my 2nd post of the day! to see my Lawn Fawnatics Challenge card, scroll down or click here!**

hello and happy monday!
today i'm just popping in to share a layout I created for the Altenew July Scrapbook Sketch challenge! I've had the Reflections Kit for a while, but I've just been hoarding it! it's SOOOOOO pretty, I didn't want to 'ruin' it!! ha ha!
but luckily I was just TOO inspired not to finally start playing with it!

here's the sketch:

so fun!
and here's my layout:

what do you think?
I really LOVE that photo of my littlest Mann waiting for big brother to get off the bus from school! and he brought his large Storm Trooper stuffed animal (that he calls Storm Troopy) along for the wait! ACK! all the feels!

I used the letter stickers in the kit, mixed with some small alphas from the stash for the title! just too perfect with the toy and the boy, huh!? ha!
I altered those AMAZING origami wood veneer butterflies by patingin them with acrylic paints and then splattering some paint on top! love it!!

lots of those INCREDIBLE wood buttons and stickers were used, too! I stitched on the stitckers, cardstock embellishments and paper directly to the 12x12 photo!

so that's it!
I am SOOOO excited I finally convinced myself to get the kit used up! and now I can't wait to make even more layouts with it - starting with the paper!!! swoon, the paper!
enjoy!

hello hello!!
today is SUCH a great day!
today Sweet Stamp Shop is releasing their March stamps! AND I AM IN LOVE WITH THEM!!

I made a BUNCH of cards and projects with these sets, wanna see?
my first card used the ADORABLE Fluffy Kitty stamp set:

that super hero cat...I can't even!! SOOOOOO cute!! I made that galaxy background with Distress Paints and popped up the kitty on the moon from the Lil Moon stamp set!

And HOOOOOOW could I resist making a card with the Unikitty set!!!!!!!! Ha!

That little rainbow unicorn-cat (be still my heart!) was colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and popped up along with the sentiment from the Royal Wish stamp set! I used some gold acrylic paint and a star stencil to create the background!

my last two cards use the ADORABLE Fresh Air stamp set!

I couldn't wait to use that CUTE bicycle image! And the bunny was just PERFECT to add on top like he's going for a little spin around the park!
I created the background by dabbing some Distress Paints onto my round acrylic block, spritzing with water and pressing it onto my card front! LOVE it!!

lastly, I have to share this card, and I just LOVE how the polka dots make the image POP!

I created the polka dots with my Black Soot Distress Paint! I used Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to add some color to the vellum clouds that I die cut, and then popped up that ADORABLE image (my favorite from this set!!)! LOVE that yellow!! Super spring-y! :)

hello there!

today is the official August Sweet Stamp Shop release!
and WHAT a release it is! oh boy!

see what i mean? yeah!
ok, so i made a bunch of cards with these sets! let's check some out!

my first card uses the ADORABLE and super cute Eye See You stamp set!

eeek! aren't those monsters adorable? and the phrases in the stamp set crack me up! i just LOVE them!
i colored all of the images on all of my cards with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! i fussy cut these guys out and then placed them under my rectangle focus point!
i had also stamped in a light, light, very light grey in a diagonal pattern on that rectangle. the final phrase was stamped in black on top of it all! love it!

my second card is interactive and uses the new Pug Life stamp set!

see? so fun right?
i LOVE that you can create you own custom pug with the different body positions and faces!! so cute!!

the background is just a little Peacock Feathers Distress Ink, which i blended and then splattered with some water!

my third card uses the super FUN Hello, Florida mini set!

it's AWESOME! i grew up in FL, and my parents still live there! we visit all the time, and i LOVE that state! so this stamp set was right up my alley!

i stamped the image in black onto my white card front and then fussy cut and glued the colored image on top! LOVE the bold colors against that graphic-y background! so fun!

my final card uses the swoon-worthy Whimsy Weekend stamp set!

seriously LOVE this set, guys!!! the 'weekend' phrase in immersed in the flowers has stolen my heart!! swoon!

i used the single flower and leaf images to create a heart shaped note card! i did some light, messy watercoloring, and then stitched on top of the card.i LOVE the clean and bold design of this card! after it was all colored, i splattered some white acrylic paint on top and just LOVE how it came out!
