hi there!
I'm so excited to share my card for the Inky Paws 100th Challenge fun that's going on!
I think this 'Copy Cat' idea is soooo fun and fresh!!!
as part of the Newton's Nook Design Team, I'm playing along to help celebrate and take part in the fun!
it was almost impossible to pick just one past challenge, but I went with the Tropical theme!!
isn't that photo so inspiring? I just LOVE it!
I used the cute, Toucan Party stamp and coordinating die set!
I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! I just love how bright the colors are!
I layered all of the leaves and flowers on top of each other at the end of the sentiment strip, and I really love how it looks with the sequins scattered around each other!
the background was ink blended with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks! then I used the same colors through the beautiful Tropical Leaves Stencil!
I hope you play along in this fun, exciting 100th challenge!
enjoy!

Inky Paws Challenge #46 - sketchy!
hello again!
today is the start of a new IPC!
the Inky Paws Challenge has moved to it's own blog!! yay!! you can find it here! :)
this time, we have a sketch to launch off your creativity!
i have SO much fun making this card!
that adorable Made From Scratch stamp set is just TOOOO sweet! I colored all of the images with Copic Markers, and then used the coordinating dies to easily cut the images out! i used some pink markers to add some color to the handles! (fun fact! the cooking utensils in my kitchen look JUST like this - but they're teal and wood! SO FUN!)
i arranged all of the images kind of randomly and then heat embossed the sentiment in black! the rectangle was watercolored with Distress Inks and the packaging technique! so fun to do! and so easy to get that messy watercolor look!
i used the banner die from the Garden Window die set to cut that banners out of some black and white striped vellum paper!
i used a polka dot stencil and some embossing paste to add texture behind the image (a la the light green portion of the sketch)! love how this came out!
please think about playing along if you are itching to get your paws inky! we would love to see you!
enjoy!

the Inky Paws Challenge has moved to it's own blog!! yay!! you can find it here! :)
this time, we're using a sketch!
love it! it's really SO versatile!!
those bees are just so sweet, and I decided to make a set of FIVE cards with the Winston's Honeybees stamp set!
the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut out! I used Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon, Twisted Citron and Cracked Pistachio to create all of the backgrouds!
I stitched the sentiment on (which takes place of the bow and line in the sketch!) with my sewing machine!
I added a little bit of detail to the images with my white gel pen, too! oh and the grass was die cut with the Land Borders Dies! :) so in LOVE with them!
