it's day 2 of Newton's Nook Designs' February release!

this release has totally got me giving alllll the heart eyes! 
oh how I love all of these new stamps, stencils and dies!! just wait until you see it all! but in the mean time, check out what we're working with today: Bitty Bibs Stamp Set + Baby Bibs coordinating Die, Sky Scene Builder Die.
you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on February 21st, right here! 

oh my goodness, could these baby bibs be any cuter? wow!! i LOVE them! and they're the PERFECT compliment to the Lovable Laundry set, but I'll save that for another day! ha!

all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out with their coordinating dies!

I just *love* that little owl bib!! I decided to make one of the bibs a 'letter' in a word! so my sentiment says, darling little baby boy!! ha!

I also used the Essential Alphabet die set to finish the phrase!

the background was created with a grey tinted embossing paste and the Cascading Stars stencil! looooove the soft grey texture!

then I used some vellum clouds that I die cut with the Sky Scene Building Die Set and attached with some machine stitching!

Newton's Nook Designs February Release - Hop Into Spring + coordinating Dies, Raindrops Stencil, Petite Flowers Stencil

today is day 1 of Newton's Nook Designs' February release!

this release has totally got me giving alllll feelings of spring!

these little bunnies are SO cute!! and I honestly LOVE each one! it was impossible to choose an image, but when it came down to it, I couldn't resist the eggs in the basket, with the opportunity to color everything in rainbows! ha!

the image was colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and die cut out with the coordinating die set!

I couldn't resist adding some pink cheeks to those cute critters!

I used the Cloudy Sky Stencil with some of the new Deco Foil Duo Gel! one the gel was dry, I used some Black Flock and my die cutting machine to attach the flock - NO HEAT NEEDED!! ha!! it was SO easy and so fun! what's better than some *actual* fluffy clouds?! lol!

to finished the card, I used a strip of textured yellow cardstock to create a 3D banner for the sentiment!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #71 - Bring it Back

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

yay!

I had a blast making this card! 
I used an embossing folder for my background...I honestly can't remember the last time I used one! 

I started by coloring all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cutting them out! the balloon is from the Party Animal stamp set, and the elephants are from Wild for You! and those clouds are so sweet, they're from Starry Backdrops!

love that texture! 

I used Distress Oxide Inks in Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feathers to ink blend the background! then I splattered some water and white acrylic paint to mimic stars in the background! 

I also added some glitter to the party hats and balloon!

have a sloth-some valentine's day!

hello!
today I have this sweet shaker Valentine's Day card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!

it's a whole lot of purple, I know! ha!
I started by using some new Deco Foil Duo Transfer Gel!! I was lucky enough to be given a container of the new gel which lets you add foil WITHOUT HEAT!! so no dragging out my laminator! it's perfect! I love it so much!
I used the gel through the Tropical Leaves Stencil, so it really pops! then I ink blended the rest of the background in Seedless Preserves, Milled Lavender and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Inks! 

then I die cut out the heart with the Darling Hearts Die and stuck that cute little sloth inside! the sloth is from the In Slow Motion stamp set! and I colored it in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. 
inside the shaker, I included sequins and little hearts and envelopes also from the stamp set! 

I combined two phrases, one from In Slow Motion and one from Love Bites to create the custom Valentine's Day saying!

now, complete disclosure, I did *NOT* come up with this idea myself, I saw it on pinterest, and then recreated it with Newton's Nook supplies! check it out here!

the phrases are from the Sending Hugs stamp set! I die cut out leaves from white cardstock using the Beautiful Leaves Die Set!

I also die cut out those green/gold leaves using the Flower Trio Die Set! I used some white yupo paper and alcohol inks in greens, yellows and golds to create a big sheet of goodness! then I went to town die cutting!

to add the green stems on the 'cherries', I used some floral tape and then wrapped each stick! I love them!

my 8 year old could only wait for so long before he had to snag one! ha!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #70 - Love Color and Image Inspiration

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

yay!

there's nothing better than the beautiful Mood Boards that Jenn Shurkus creates! and this one color and image board is just THE BEST!!! rainbows...I couldn't be happier! lol! 

I was so inspired by the vertical design of the hearts, and of COURSE...the rainbow! I used lots of masking tape to create the vertical stripes on my card, along with a loooooot of Distress Ink colors! once it was done, I sprinkled some water on top, and then used some white embossing paste and a star stencil to add some texture and dimension to the rainbow! 
I stamped and colored all of the images from Plane & Simple and then fussy cut them out! 

I also used the Puffy Cloud Borders dies and die cut out clouds out in cardstock and vellum for the top of the card, and then I finished off the cute plane with a little detail of glitter!

Two Many Cards Video Series Featuring Evelin T Designs + Giveaway!

we took a little break, but we're back!
it's time for another video with me as a guest with Emily on the Two Many Cards Video Series! that's right!

today we're featuring stamps from the beautifully illustrated Evelin T Designs!

We used the simply beautiful Coffee Loving Critters and Reading Buddies stamp sets!

I did some Distress Ink blending on ALL cards, and ironically, in very similar colors - though that was not planned! ha!

Below are the cards I created in my FIRST video...which I then accidentally deleted...a moment of silence...if you would...

all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and fussy cut out! 
aren't they so sweet and adorable? 

I decided to make a wreath with the little images from the Coffee Loving Critters stamp set, so I stamped and colored them out a bunch of times! 
then I used a circle mask as a guide on where to place the images, so it looked like a circle, and not a random, weird shape! ha!
then I used some white embossing paste a wonky polka dotted stencil to create some texture to the circle!

and oh, the background was ink blended with Peacock Feathers, Blueprint Sketch and Twisted Citron Distress Inks. then I splattered some water and white acrylic paint, to add more interest! 

my other card was something that I thought of as soon as I saw that hopping little bunny! I knew I wanted to make it look like she was jumping for joy with her brand new read! because that how I feel when I have a good book or new stamps! ha!

I stamped the image a bunch of times! then I colored the main image in color. the rest of the images were colored in varied images of grey to create a look of motion! do you feel the motion? ha!

then I used a piece of paper as a mask and used Distress Oxides to ink blend in Lucky Clover, Twisted Citron and Squeezed Lemonade! 

then I splattered some water and ink to add texture! 

I finished off the card with a soft grey background of stars that I created with some tinted embossing paste a star stencil! 

and here are my cards that I created in my new video!! ha!

I used a Create a Smile stencil to create the background in the starry night card, and then ink blended over it with Distress Oxide inks in Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot, Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass! 

I also used a speech bubble from the Create a Smile Stamps die set to add the *perfect* phrase to my card!

my last card uses the adorable bunnies and some Distress Oxide Ink blending with Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberries and Dried Marigold.
