Newton's Nook Designs Christmas Release - Merriest Christmas and Happiest Holidays Die Sets

welcome to day 2 of the festive and fun Newton's Nook Designs Christmas Release!

all of these new products are so fun!
and sooooo versatile!

my first card uses the pretty Merriest Christmas die set!

so fun, right?!
the golden browns remind me of a christmas sugar cookie! lol
I started by ink blending with Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber onto white cardstock. then I used the Reindeer Stencil and white embossing paste to add the subtle texture in the background!

next, I die cut out the frame using the Card Layout 3 Die Set from some Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment. I also used the same Distress Inks to add an ombre look to the glitter to tone down the brightness! so fun!

I die cut out the scripty part of the words from cream paper and then ink blended with the same colors onto the shadowed background die.
I finished the card off y sprinkling some puffy white pompoms and sequins! 

 

my next card showcases the new Happiest Holidays Die Set.
they just work so well together!

LOOOOOOVE this one!
I die cut the pine from the Pines & Holly die set many times and ink blended them with Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron and Pine Needles. then I sprinkled some white acrylic ink on top!

 

I did more ink blending on top of the scripty, glitter die! Again, I used the
Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment and this time, I used Pine Needles to add a little extra darkness to the bottom. so fun!
I used the Lattice Die with black cardstock and popped it up against the background.

the background is black cardstock and white embossing paste with the Petite Snow Stencil.

these pups are so adorable!

it's such a fun set!

I stamped the images then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once they were dry, I added some details with a white gel pen and added foam tape to the backs so they would be popped up.
I also added some glitter to each of the images! such a fun and festive touch!

I used some of the new Birthday Time Paper for the base of my card. love that happy shade of yellow-y/orange stripes for the background! so happy and bright!
then I used the Postage Stamp Layout Die Set and die cut it out from some white cardstock and the white confetti paper.
I also cut out one of the stamps like it's getting ready to be used!

the mail stamp was heat embossed in black onto vellum and then attached to the card with some glue.
the small images were popped up with foam tape.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #184 - Holiday Inspiration Board

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

this new holiday inspiration board is sooooo adorable!

 

I looooove these deep, dark greens with the bold, bright yellow and pink! so fun!
I decided to make a warm and cozy scene around the fire with my FAVORITE fireplace set!

so fun, right?
I stamped the images from Cozy Christmas and then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I also added some details with a white gel pen, too.
and I couldn't resist adding a pinch of Chunky Glitter along the flames of the fire!

for the background, I used Uncharted Mariner, Pine Needles and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Inks to ink blend the packground. and I'm not going to lie, I wouldn't have tried those colors together if it weren't for this challenge, and now I'm obsessed with the color combo!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white and then ink blended in the same colors as the Scripty Wishes Die Set.

hello and hi!
today I have a festive card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!

it's so fun and festive, and I tried something new for me - no rainbow! lol!
I still like how it came out though - maybe more elegant or classic? a girl can hope!

I stamped the images from Holiday Lights and then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. then I added glitter with Star Dust Stickles! once it was all dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!

I die cut out the pine die from Pines & Holly a bunch, and then ink blended them with Distress Inks in Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron.
I used Distress Inks in the same colors to ink blend along the top/bottom and one side of the card. then I placed the pine images all around the ink blended area on the card. once it was all adhered, I splattered around with the same ink colors and then also white acrylic ink.

then I added foam tape to all of the lights and placed them around, in and tucked under some of the pine pieces so it would look like the lights were on a christmas tree!!

hopefully you like it and it made you think twice about those 2 small products!!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #153 - Christmas in July

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

Christmas in July is so fun!!!
I had a blast making my summer themed-Christmas cards! lol

 

 

I imagined up a life where Santa fell in love with Mrs Claus...a mermaid!! and the reindeer in the floaty has my heart! lol!
I stamped and colored the images from Pool Party, Beachy Christmas, Mermaid for You and Ho-Ho-Holidays.

I used Distress Inks in Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo for the sand shore. then I used white acrylic ink and brown inks to add a sandy texture! then I used Blueprint Sketch and Mermaid Lagoon for the ocean, then also did some ink smooshing of the same colors to give that watery vibe! the waves were die cut with the Stiched Wave Borders

 

finally, I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto black cardstock and then popped it up with foam tape.
I also added some chunky glitter to the mermaid tail, floaty and beach toys! because...it's Christmas!! ha!
