A Mole Lot of Love Shaker Card

today I'm super excited to share a card I made for Valentine's Day, up on the Lawn Fawn blog!
and bonus: I made a video for this card for you to enjoy too! you can check it out here, or up on my youtube channel!

I'm in love with this card - it's been a hot minute since I've made a shaker card, and it's been a hot minute since I've made a slimline card. today, I combined BOTH with the Large Slimline with Sliders dies! and it was so fun to make!

I started by stamping the images from A Mole Lot of Love, A Mole Lot of Love Add-on, Little Woodland Library and Porcu-pine For You. then I colored the images in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I also added some details with a white gel pen and once everything was dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut the images out!

for the background, I made my own clouds background stencil! I used the Puffy Cloud Borders to die cut out two edges of white cardstock, and use that as a stencil to create the 'mounds' of dirt for the moles to play in! I used Distress Inks in Ground Espresso, Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber to ink blend the 'dirt', and then I splattered like no one's business to mimic the look of sand! I used the same Distress Ink colors, as well as some white acrylic ink.

I used a bunch of sequins in various colors and sizes: golds, browns, white seed beads, gold and brown glitter and so much more! lol! I love how the shaker bits look together for this sandy scene!
I attached all of my images with glue and then used two layers of foam tape to pop up the shaker part.

I finished the card off by heat embossing part of the sentiment onto a banner die cut with the Stitched Sentiment Banners from Black Licorice Cardstock.

this card was so much fun to make, and really love how it came out!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #211 - Sparkle and Shine

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

what a fun and exciting mood board!

so fun!
I am in looooooove with this mood board and all of the sparkle, shine and rainbows!!

I did lots of die cutting and not one stamped image - crazy! lol
I started by die cutting the camera with the Magic Iris Camera Add-on from Black Licorice, Fog, and Narwhal cardstock.
I also die cut out the rim around the camera lens with the Magic Iris Camera Pull-tab Add-on from Black cardstock and then turned it into a shaker card! what fun!

 

I used the Stickles Glitter Gel - Dark Matter for the middle part of the camera! I LOOOOOOOVE that happy, bright color!
for the shaker part, I used various sizes and colors of sequins in my stash. then I also added some sequins to the glitter part of the camera.

I also die cut out the Scripty Cheers die to add to the festive spirit!
the sentiment is from Yeti or Not and was heat embossed in gold to add to the gold foil in the paper on the card base, which is from the All the Sparkles Petite Paper Pack.

this December release is allllll about that lovin' feeling and valentine vibes!
today I made a shaker card using the new Charming Hearts Frame Die and Valentine Word Trio Die Set!

I haven't made a shaker card in a while and I had a ton of fun making this one!
I started by die cutting out the hearts frame in white cardstock. I used some of the hearts that were die cut out and added them to the border to bring even more love-hearts on the card! 

I then die cut out the word 'love' that comes with the die set in 4 shades of pink cardstock and put that inside the shaker!

 

 

for the background, I used some of the new Lovely Hearts Papers. so sweet! I used the new Valentine Word Trio Die set to add the big, bold phrase! I die cut it out 2x with red and pink cardstock for the POP!

 

then I added some sequins on the top of the card, and I love that brings some of the shaker bits outside, too!

my card uses some old and new products together!

 

this time, there are no cute little images! ha! I used the adorable Balloon Shaker die set! I used Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold and Squeezed Lemonade to add color to the sides and inside the shaker portion!

I used the new Bright Basics paper pad to cut my A2 Card Layout die from. then I used Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Ink to add some blue color to the white polka dots on the paper! and I just love the tone-on-tone colors for the background!

 

I finished the card off by adding some texture with the Cloudy Sky Stencil and some white embossing paste. and the sentiment from Birthday Essentials was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock.

cheers to the new year!

hello!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics challenge blog! the current challenge is all about a new years-themed inspiration board! so my card fits right in!

I love it!
I used the Build-a-Drink dies and customized them into champagne flutes...of a sort! lol!! that was my intention, anyway!
I also made the champagne flutes into shakers!! I love that it makes it look like there are bubbles in the drinks! so fun!

I used Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade to add some color to the base of the glass. then I popped up the edges with two layers of foam tape. I added some shaker bits made with white glitter, clear gems and sequins.
I also used the straws to make the stem of the glasses!

I used Distress Inks in Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold for the background of the card. then I used the same colors but with a lot more pressure and used the Sunray Background Stencil. then I used the Lot of Stars Background Stencils and white embossing paste to make the background super festive!

I heat embossed the sentiment from Let's Bokeh in white onto black cardstock and popped it up with foam tape, too!

my first card uses the new Heartfelt Coffee Stamp set!

so fun and happy, right?
I stamped the image in black onto white cardstock and used Distress Inks in Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold. then I used a white gel pen to add white accents to the image! I die cut out the image with the Heart Frames Die Set.

I also die cut out the larger heart from the Coffee House Stories Paper Pad for the card base. I die cut out part of the sentiment with the Essential Alphabet Die Set and used Vintage Photo Distress Ink to add color.

I heat embossed the sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock that was ink blended with the same colors as the background. then I popped it all up on a vellum banner that was die cut with the Frames & Flags die set.

for my next card, I made a christmas card!

I couldn't resist making a card for christmas with these cute little Coffee Silhouettes Die set!
I die cut out these images from white cardstock and then added color with Distress Oxide ink in Twisted Citron, Pine Needles, Cracked Pistachio and Mowed Lawn. then I added some details with a white gel pen.

I used Distress Oxide Inks in Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral and Dried Marigold for the background and then die cut it out with the Frames & Flags die set.

 

 

I used vellum to die cut out the Ornament Shaker die set for behind the coffee images. 

my last card uses the new Coffee Beans Hot Foil Plate and Coffee Mug Hot Foil Plates & Die set!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto white cardstock and then die cut out with the Banner Trio Die Set!
I used the Coffee Beans Hot Foil Plate with some light gold foil onto white cardstock. then I used Vintage Photo, Ground Espresso and Fossilized Amber to add color.

then I used the die from Coffee Mug Hot Foil die to make a shaker card!
I used white bits and sequins to add for the shaker bits!

I popped it all up on the Coffee House Stories Paper Pad and the Frames Squared Die Set.
