Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #400 Celebration!
hello!
today i have a FUN card to go along with the FUN celebration over on the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge! they're celebrating they're 400th challenge!! WOW!!!
in honor of that, Newton's Nook Designs is one of the awesome sponsors, so i was able to play along as a guest!
we could choose any past challenge and so, i went with the #384 color challenge: turquoise, gold and midnight to create my card!
i used the SUPER fun Newton's Birthday Bash for my card!
i colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then fussy cut it out!
for the background, i used my star stencil and some gold acrylic paint! SO LOVE IT!
i die cut the clouds from vellum with the Sky Borders Dies and then added some color to them with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink! :)

a sweet thank you!
hello!
today i have a card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog featuring a sweet thank you! :)
ok, so yes, that was a pun!! see? it's sweet because of the pineapple! ha!
i used the awesome Pineapple Delight stamp set and colored directly onto the stamps with my Distress Markers!
I spritzed the stamp and then pressed onto some white cardstock! LOOOOOVE the drops that transferred with the image!
i die cut out the images with the coordinating dies and then popped them up against that FUN blended blue background! I used Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch Distress Inks! the sentiment was heat embossed onto some black cardstock and then die cut out with the banner from the Garden Window Die set!

Lawn Fawnatics Launch and Challenge #1 - Birthday!
OH MY GOSH!
how excited am i?!?!
there's a NEW challenge on the block!!! and it's all about LAWN FAWN!!!!!
i am excited, honored and humbled to be part of the team and i can't WAIT to see what you all think!!
the VERY FIRST challenge is all about birthdays, since Lawn Fawn is celebrating they're 7th birthday this month! Wow!!

so in honor of this theme, here is my under the sea, birthday themed card!
I used Distress Inks and created the watercolor background! lots of drying time, lots of layers of color!
the images were all colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then fussy cut!
i used the CUTE images from Mermaid for You, for the sentiment, mermaid and rocks! the cute birthday balloons are from So Jelly! LOVE that mini set!!

Inky Paws Challenge #43 - Sketch!
hello again!
today is the start of a new IPC!
the Inky Paws Challenge has moved to it's own blog!! yay!! you can find it here! :)
this time, we're using a sketch!
love it! it's really SO versatile!!
those bees are just so sweet, and I decided to make a set of FIVE cards with the Winston's Honeybees stamp set!
the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut out! I used Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon, Twisted Citron and Cracked Pistachio to create all of the backgrouds!
I stitched the sentiment on (which takes place of the bow and line in the sketch!) with my sewing machine!
I added a little bit of detail to the images with my white gel pen, too! oh and the grass was die cut with the Land Borders Dies! :) so in LOVE with them!

Sweet Stamp Shop March 2017 Release!
hello hello!!
today is SUCH a great day!
today Sweet Stamp Shop is releasing their March stamps! AND I AM IN LOVE WITH THEM!!
I made a BUNCH of cards and projects with these sets, wanna see?
my first card used the ADORABLE Fluffy Kitty stamp set:
that super hero cat...I can't even!! SOOOOOO cute!! I made that galaxy background with Distress Paints and popped up the kitty on the moon from the Lil Moon stamp set!
And HOOOOOOW could I resist making a card with the Unikitty set!!!!!!!! Ha!
That little rainbow unicorn-cat (be still my heart!) was colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and popped up along with the sentiment from the Royal Wish stamp set! I used some gold acrylic paint and a star stencil to create the background!
my last two cards use the ADORABLE Fresh Air stamp set!
I couldn't wait to use that CUTE bicycle image! And the bunny was just PERFECT to add on top like he's going for a little spin around the park!
I created the background by dabbing some Distress Paints onto my round acrylic block, spritzing with water and pressing it onto my card front! LOVE it!!
lastly, I have to share this card, and I just LOVE how the polka dots make the image POP!
I created the polka dots with my Black Soot Distress Paint! I used Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to add some color to the vellum clouds that I die cut, and then popped up that ADORABLE image (my favorite from this set!!)! LOVE that yellow!! Super spring-y! :)

for my first, card, i sued the whole image...and you know it:
that's right! the umbrella is rainbow! ha!
i colored this in with Copic Markers and then used the coordinating dies to cut it out! And of course those clouds were cut with the new Sky Borders Die set! LOOOOVE!
i heat embossed the sentiment and used some grey, geometric patterned paper for my gloomy sky, background! LOVE it!! that duck...so so so cute!
my next card JUST uses some sweet little images from the stamp set!
soooo sweet, right?!
i used the Darling Hearts Die set to cut out that heart, and then ink blended with Peacock Feathers, Blueprint Sketch, Twisted Citron and Cracked Pistachio Distress inks!
for the background, i used some white embossing paste and fun stencil to create the 'rain'! ha ha!!

oh my, how I LOVE this set!
i KNEW i wanted to make a silhouette-type scene as soon as I saw this set! so I stamped the images in versamark black ink and then die cut them out! i used a glitter pen to add some shine to the white parts of the fox!
for the background, I used some scrap cardstock that had a circle shape already die cut as a mask. then I blended Distress Inks in Abandoned Coral, Dried Marigold and Mustard Seed. LOOOOVE that sunset sky! I also added some sequins to the card in coordinating colors!
for my next card...again...RAINBOW!
I colored onto the stamps themselves with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then stamped them onto some white cardstock! I knew the images wouldn't be as crisp, but I really wanted a 'watercolor' type of look!
once i had a BUNCH of these in rainbow colors, all stamped and die cut, I arranged them over a rectangle of white cardstock, where the sentiment was heat embossed! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

my good friend from college *JUST* had a baby boy, so I had to start by making her this card!
i am seriously in LOVE with that lion! and i LOVE the combinations of yellows/oranges and blues!
i colored the image with copics, and then stamped the other images from the set repeatedly in a light grey ink.
i also did some soft watercoloring in the light grey, and then heat embossed the sentiment!
my 2nd card is RAINBOW!
when I saw the stripes and that CUTE elephant, I thought: RAINBOW!! ha ha ha! And i LOOOOOVE it!
I used a polka dotted stencil and some Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink to create the background! the sentiment was heat embossed and I also used a strip of striped washi to ad some further contrast!

i love this little pilot, so I made two cards!
i colored all of the images for these cards with Copic Markers, and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out! that sentimetn on the banner is MY FAVORITE! I think it's so hilarious and so fun!
i used a polka dot stencil and some Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink to create the circles, and then went over them with some gel medium!
the clouds were die cut out of white cardstock, and then i used my Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter brush pen to add some sparkle! LOVE it!
for my 2nd card, I started off with a fun circular stencil and some white embossing paste over a watercolored line of grey!
i popped up my image with foam tape, and then used the sweet sweet, scripty hello to look like it was doing some sky writing! ha!
i really love those clouds images too! they were the perfect touch to this card!
