Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #481 - Fall Theme!

hello!
thank you so much for stopping by!

the Newton's Nook team was invited to be Guest Sweeties with the new Cupcake Inspirations Challenge! and this time, it's all about that cool, fall feeling!!

so fun!
I combined a few different Newton's Nook Designs products to create my crisp, cool breeze-inspired card!

Hope Your Fall is Extra Mice Card by Samantha Mann, Newton's Nook Designs, watercolor, Autumn, cards, card making, leaves #newtonsnook #autumn #cards #watercolor #watercolorleaves

love it!
I started by doing watercolors onto a piece of white cardstock is warm apple reds, corals, golds and apricots!
white the watercolor was drying, I die cut out some leaf windows from the Beautiful Leaves Die Set out of my light kraft card base

then I backed the open windows with the watercolor!

Hope Your Fall is Extra Mice Card by Samantha Mann, Newton's Nook Designs, watercolor, Autumn, cards, card making, leaves #newtonsnook #autumn #cards #watercolor #watercolorleaves

the sentiment was white heat embossed over a Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Ink Blended background (LOVE that blue color with the warm fall colors), which I cut into a banner shape.
the image is from Autumn Mice and was colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut out.
I attached it to the card with foam tape, and then added some sequins for sparkle!

hope to see you playing along with the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!
enjoy!

hello!
thank you so much for stopping by!

the Newton's Nook team was invited to be Guest Sweeties with the new Cupcake Inspirations Challenge! and this time, it's all about the pretty plaid pattern!!

so fun!
I combined a few different Newton's Nook Designs stamp sets to create my rainbow-y plaid card!

love it!
my oldest little Mann is all about the pandas!! so I know he's going to approve of this card!
I used the images from Playful Pandas and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then fussy cut out!

the sentiments are from the perfectly playful birthday phrases on the Birthday Essentials stamp set!
I created the background using the Plaid Stencil set and a rainbow of Distress Ink colors! first I used the stencils and switched out the colors in a rainbow pattern. then once it was all stenciled, I used the same colors, with a lighter hand, and ink blended on top!

I finished the card by die cutting some vellum with the Sky Borders die set!

hope to see you playing along with the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!
enjoy!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #348

hello!
how exciting is this: Newton's Nook Designs is sponsoring the new Cupcake Inspirations Challenge

i just LOVE these colors! they're totally 'me'! :)
i decided to use the AMAZING Message In a Bottle stamp set and coordinating die

i colored the ship image with copics, and die cut the bottle out of vellum!
on my card base, i stamped the bottle image and the ship image again then adhered, first the ship pieces and then the vellum on top! :)

i stamped the bird images on top of the vellum and then added some wood veneer sequins! i added a green color to the sequins with Distress Paints in Cracked Pistachio and Mowed Lawn! then i added a layer of glitter on top! :)

the background was created with Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass! i just smooshed the ink pads onto my craft mat, spritzed with water and then placed my card base on top! so easy, and so fun! love the watercolor look with the ship!! perfect!

i hope you have time to play along with the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge for your chance to win some Newton's Nook stamps! :)

holly and jolly

i have another two-fer card tonight! i made it today while my little one was napping - it was a race to see who would finish first...but i won! :) and here it is:

(inside it says: Christmas!)

i made it for the challenges over at cupcake inspirations and wee memories! below is the inspiration cupcake from cupcake inspirations:

this week's challenge for wee memories was holiday music inspiration! which of course, i chose the song that goes: ...have a holly jolly christmas, it's the best time of the year...needless to say, it's been stuck in my head ever since i finished the card! :)

almost all of the stamps are lawn fawn, with the exception of the polariod stamp, which love too, and that's from wilson designs. i popped up the animals for dimension, and i tried to use a different technique for each animal! the polar bear is dry embossed, the penguin in paper pieced (like the holly, which is also glittered), and seal is paper-pieced with textured paper - plus i just love that it looks like he's balancing the holly on his nose like a ball! :)

i also watermarked some snowflakes behind each animal so it would a little bit more like a real snapshot! :)
have a great weekend!

enjoy!
