Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #211 - Sparkle and Shine

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

what a fun and exciting mood board!

so fun!
I am in looooooove with this mood board and all of the sparkle, shine and rainbows!!

I did lots of die cutting and not one stamped image - crazy! lol
I started by die cutting the camera with the Magic Iris Camera Add-on from Black Licorice, Fog, and Narwhal cardstock.
I also die cut out the rim around the camera lens with the Magic Iris Camera Pull-tab Add-on from Black cardstock and then turned it into a shaker card! what fun!

 

I used the Stickles Glitter Gel - Dark Matter for the middle part of the camera! I LOOOOOOOVE that happy, bright color!
for the shaker part, I used various sizes and colors of sequins in my stash. then I also added some sequins to the glitter part of the camera.

I also die cut out the Scripty Cheers die to add to the festive spirit!
the sentiment is from Yeti or Not and was heat embossed in gold to add to the gold foil in the paper on the card base, which is from the All the Sparkles Petite Paper Pack.

new year and winter inspiration!

hello!
wishing you all a healthy and happy day!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
the current challenge is all about the New Years and inspiration from the photo board!

this time I was inspired by the winter sparkles and sequins in all of the photos!

 
so pretty, right?!
I started with some Blue Jay Cardstock. then I did a little ink blending on top with Seedless Preserves.
next, I used the beautiful Birch Tree Stencils with some white embossing paste. and before it was dry, I sprinkled some Prisma Glitter on top. the I used silver stars, sequins and clear drops to add to the sparkle and whimsical vibe. 

I made sure to spread out the cluster of silver stars, clear drops and silver sequins around each tree and branch. As well as to make sure the glitter showed up.
I heat embossed the sentiment from Snowy Backdrops in white onto vellum. then I used the Fancy Wavy Banners to die cut it out and add a swishy banner.

I love how simple, yet beautiful this card is!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #187 - Happy New Year Inspiration

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

the challenge this time is so lovely, and sweet and magical!

I was inspired by those gorgeous fireworks to create my card!

I stamped and colored the images from Winter Skies and Over the Mountain Borders with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I added some details with a white gel pen and then die cut the images out with their coordinating dies.

 

 

for the background, I die cut out the base with the Large Slimline with Sliders die set. I ink blended the sky with Black Soot, Uncharted Mariner, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers.
I used the Nighttime Sky Stencil to create the moon in the background, too!

then I used some gold foil and the Fireworks Hot Foil Plates on white cardstock then die cut them out with the coordinating dies. so pretty!! to make it blend in with the background, I used the same Distress Ink colors for the background of the fireworks, too!

 

I heat embossed the sentiment in white from the Let's Bokeh set onto Black Licorice Cardstock and then popped it up with foam tape!

hello!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics challenge blog! the current challenge is all about a new years-themed inspiration board! so my card fits right in!

I love it!
I used the Build-a-Drink dies and customized them into champagne flutes...of a sort! lol!! that was my intention, anyway!
I also made the champagne flutes into shakers!! I love that it makes it look like there are bubbles in the drinks! so fun!

I used Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade to add some color to the base of the glass. then I popped up the edges with two layers of foam tape. I added some shaker bits made with white glitter, clear gems and sequins.
I also used the straws to make the stem of the glasses!

I used Distress Inks in Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold for the background of the card. then I used the same colors but with a lot more pressure and used the Sunray Background Stencil. then I used the Lot of Stars Background Stencils and white embossing paste to make the background super festive!

I heat embossed the sentiment from Let's Bokeh in white onto black cardstock and popped it up with foam tape, too!

hello again!
today I have another card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

I kept the current challenge in mind for this card, and I was totally inspired by the sparkler image in the bottom left! soooo cool!

love it!
I thought it would be a fun idea to make the volcano look like the sparkler for these dinos! they're all ready for the new years party!

I colored the images from Rawrsome with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
for the background, I used Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire and Iced Spruce - that was the best combination I could come up with the mimic the colors in the sparkler sky image!
I used Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Inks for the ground. then I splattered the same colors over that area to create a gravel-y look!

to create the sparkler look, I splattered some Distress Paint in Abandoned Coral, Mustard Seed and Dried Marigold! once that was dry, I also used the Liquid Stardust to add some shine!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #91 - new year inspiration

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

ooooo, so gorgeous, right? I loooooove all of the photos! and I love the subdued color palette, too!!! just winning all around!

 

 
eeeeep! love it!
I used the Let's Bokeh stamp set to create a bokeh background! what fun!
I started by ink blending the background in Chipped Sapphire, Seedless Preserves and Milled Lavender Distress Oxide Inks! then I splattered some water on the background!

once it was dry, I did lots of heat embossing! a LOT of heat embossing! I stamped the circles in various sizes all around, and then either heat embossed it in Clear, Sparkle Clear or Pearl clear! oooooo!! ha!

then I heat embossed part of the sentiment in white onto some vellum, and fussy cut around it! I finished the card off with sequins all over, too!

Newton's Nook Designs Winter Release - Newton’s Snowman + coordinating die and Happy New Year Stamp Set

well, we made it!! it's day 4 of Newton's Nook Designs' October release!

 

and as you can tell, it's all about that winter wonderland! yay!

oh how I love all of these new stamps, stencils and dies!! just wait until you see it all! but in the mean time, check out what we're working with today: Newton’s Snowman + coordinating die and Happy New Year Stamp Set.
you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on November 20th, right here! 

my first card uses the mini Happy New Year stamp set!

it's so fun, right? I used the Slimline Frames & Portholes die set for the base of my card. then I used the Balloon Shaker Die Set to die cut out 2 vellum and 1 white cardstock balloon! I used Distress Inks to add color to the balloons! I looooove vellum balloons! 

then I heat embossed the image onto the yellow balloon and attached them to the card!

lastly, I used some sprakly embossing paste and the Cascading Stars Stencil to add a little more shine and sparkle to the celebratory card!!

my next card uses the new Newton's Snowman set, and I am in love with that image!



so fun!
I used the Sky Borders Die Set to create some bumpy, fluffy snow for this scene!

and for the background, I used Distress Oxide Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio. then I splattered some water and white acrylic paint on top! then once it was all dry, I used the Sunscape stencil and some more of the sparkly embossing paste on top! ooooooo! lol!

I colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut it out with the coordinating die! I also used the Speech Bubbles Die Set for the phrase, which was heat embossed in white! then I used the same colors as the background to add color to the speech bubble! which I backed by another speech bubble die cut from black and white patterned paper!
