foxy christmas tags!

hello!
today is a fun day - it's part of Lawn Fawn's Fawny Holiday celebration!

I have these tags up on the Lawn Fawn blog, and guess what?! I also have a video to go along with the fun! you can watch it here or on my youtube channel!

I started by die cutting out about 1000 leaves from the Stitched Leaves die set from white cardstock.
I also die cut 3 of the Giant Be Merry phrases, foxes from the Build-a-Fox set, multiple flowers from the Stitched Poinsettias set and even a few winter-wear items from the Build-a-Critter Winter Accessories set!
whew!
so much die cutting!

next, it's on to ink blending!!
I did a lot of that too!!
I used Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron for the leaves. I used Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold for the 'be merry' phrase, as well as for the scarf. I used Carved Pumpkin, Dried Marigold and Antique Linen for the foxes. I also used Abandoned Coral, Festive Berries and Vintage Photo for the hoodie.

for the poinsettia flowers, I used Saltwater Taffy, Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, Dried Marigold and Festive Berries in a variety of combinations.

I die cut out the circles from acetate using the Circle Stackables. then I layered the leaves around part of the acetate circles to create some 3/4 wreathes and one full wreath. I also popped up the foxes for some dimension on the tags. then I used a hole punch and some Silver Sparkle Single Cord as the tag string!

Fawny Holiday Week 2024

today I'm joining in on the festive fun on the Lawn Fawn blog with the Fawny Holiday week!

I'm sharing a fun, winter-y themed card for the holidays, and bonus! there's a video! be sure to check it out on the Lawn Fawn blog, or on my youtube channel, here!

I stamped and colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then did lots of watercoloring! I stuck to a small color palette this time (no rainbows!), focusing on reds and greens, and browns and greys.
I used Winter Birds and Flappy Holiday stamp sets. once all of the images were colored, I added some details with a white gel pen, and then die cut them out with their coordinating dies!

then it was time to make the platform! I used the Platform Pop-up and Platform Pop-up Cloud Inserts dies to create this wintery tree scene! I cut it all out of white cardstock and then went to town ink blending! I used Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron and Pine Needles for the leafy tree tops and then Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber for the tree base itself.

before assembling the platform, I used the Woodgrain Backdrops stamp set to add the wood texture to the tree base! so FUN! then I splattered the wood with white acrylic ink and used some white gesso and a dry brush to add the snow capped canopy look! I really hope that came across!

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock and then used the Stitched Sentiment Banner die set to die cut out the large one, and just trimmed the smaller sentiment in a strip.

I love that this card can be folded flat for a standard sized envelope but still makes such a big impact when you pop it up!

Lawn Fawny Holiday Week 2023!

hello!
today I'm here sharing a card I made as part of the Fawny Holiday Week celebration with Lawn Fawn!

today I made a slimline card with the adorable mice from Mice on Ice and Snowball Fight!

one of the reasons I love slimline cards the most is because you can expand on a scene! and these two sets were begging to be combined!
I colored them all with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut them out. I added foam tape to all of the images too.

I used alcohol inks to and yupo paper to create the look of the fozen pond! then I used the Scalloped Slimline with Hearts: Portrait die set to die cut out the pond!  I also die cut out some snowy hills with the Stitched Hillside Borders dies and white cardstock. then I used the same Slimline with Hearts: Portrait die set to die cut out the hills so they would all have the same scalloped borders!

I used Distress Oxide Inks in Black Soot, Iced Spruce and Lost Shadow to create the wintry sky. then I used some white embossing paste and the Birch Tree Stencils to add some texture! plus I just LOOOOVE that stencil set!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock and then I fussy cut out the 'joyful' and cut the rest into a banner! I also popped those up with foam tape!

Fawny Holiday Week 2020 - Day 5

hi again!
I'm so excited for this week on the Lawn Fawn blog - the Fawny Holiday week! 
and I'm lucky enough to be able to participate as part of the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge design team!

today's post is a scrapbook layout! I couldn't let the celebration go by without sharing a layout! ha!

so fun!

I started by covering my whole paper in white gesso. once that was dry, I added the snowflakes with embossing paste and the Snowflake Trio Stencil! then I added the watercolor in aquas and dark teals! once that was dry, I was able to start scrapping! lol!

I die cut out the title from Black Licorice cardstock using the Oliver's Stitched ABCs dies! then I popped them all up with foam tape! I also heat embossed the 'christmas' onto black cardstock, from the Christmas Dreams stamp set! I fussy cut it out, and also popped it up with foam tape!

I used the cute little gingerbread man from Oh Snap to be the 'A' in the title!

I stamped and colored in a few more of the cookies, and I just had to include the broken one...there's always a few cookies that never make it to the oven! lol!
I used some papers from Snow Day Remix to back my photos, along with tissue paper, and did a little embellishing with some woodgrain snowflakes and a bow!

Fawny Holiday Week 2020 - Day 1

hi there!

I'm so excited for this week on the Lawn Fawn blog - the Fawny Holiday week! 
and I'm lucky enough to be able to participate as part of the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge design team!

for my card today, I combined some new and old products to create this sweet, snow globe scene!

cute, right?
I started by stamping the images from the new Peas on Earth, along with Be Hap-Pea and Snow Globe Scenes! I colored the images and then fussy cut them out!
I also added some details to the images with a white gel pen!

for the background, I did some Ink blending with Distress Oxide Inks over a piece of aqua cardstock, in Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot! then I splattered some white acrylic paint on top!

I used the new Starry Sky Stencil and some white embossing paste to add texture!

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto a strip of black cardstock, and then popped up the banner and the peas with foam tape!

Fawny Holiday Week 2019 - Day 6

hi there!
I'm so excited for this week on the Lawn Fawn blog - the Fawny Holiday week! 
and I'm lucky enough to be able to participate as part of the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge design team!

for this card, I used the super adorable Beary Happy Holidays stamp set!

soooo sweet!!
I combined with with the new Stitched Pond die set! 
first I colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then I fussy cut it out!

next, I die cut out the pond, but used the outside part of the die cut for my card! then I used Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks to add color to the inside image of the pond. then I splattered some water over top...because...I'm Sam! ha!

then, I stamped the bear image onto some old packaging and then pressed that onto the pond, to create the upside down, mirrored image! then I used the same markers that I used to color the main image, but reallllllly diluted! soooo fun!

I stamped the sentiment onto some pink cardstock, heat embossed the phrase, and then popped that up!!
love how this came out!

Fawny Holiday Week 2019 - Day 4

hi there!

I'm so excited for this week on the Lawn Fawn blog - the Fawny Holiday week! 
and I'm lucky enough to be able to participate as part of the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge design team!

for my card today, I combined some new and old products to create this sweet, Christmas eve scene!

soooo sweet, right?
I started by stamping the images from the new Yeti or Not stamp set. I colored the images and then fussy cut them out! 
I added a little dot detail in the same colors, to each image, to add a little bit of texture and to just do something a little different than normal! ha!
then I die ut out some hills with the Stitched Hillside Borders dies.

for the background, I did some Ink blending with Distress Inks in Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio. love that night sky! then I splattered some water on top!

I added that little santa's sleigh image to the top of the card by heat embossing in black!
first I colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then I fussy cut it out!
I also heat embossed the phrase on the card in white. 

the yeti and a few of the trees were popped up with foam tape for some dimension! :)

Fawny Holiday Week 2019 - Day 3

me again!

I'm so excited for this week on the Lawn Fawn blog - the Fawny Holiday week! 
and I'm lucky enough to be able to participate as part of the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge design team!

today, I have a layout, instead of a card!

soooo sweet, right?
I stamped and colored the reindeer images from Toboggan Together and then fussy cut them out! 
I also used some papers from the Snow Day Remix Petite Paper Pack to back my photo! 

for the background, I used Distress Ink Refills in Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio to create a watercolor-ed look! once it was dry, I used some white embossing paste and a star stencil to add a little texture!

I added the title with a mix of alphas, and then machine stitched them onto the layout! then I added some embellishments with some older supplies I had in my stash!

this layout will always make me smile - it's the perfect depiction of my little Menn at this moment in time! even though my older little Mann had so much FUN singing christmas carols and decorating the tree, he was NOT having it when I wanted a picture! ha! (that's the stage he's in...) ha!
and my littlest Mann just looks up to his brother SO MUCH, it's so sweet! so his infections smile and laughter from looking at his brother was PERFECT for the 'spreading Christmas cheer' title! ha!

Fawny Holiday Week 2018 - Day 5

welcome to the last day of the very Fawny Holiday Week on the Lawn Fawn blog!

and as part of the Lawn Fawnatics DT, I'm super excited to be able to contribute to this week long, holiday celebration!! I have honestly LOVED each and every day!

today my card up on the Lawn Fawn Blog featuring the super adorable and cute Winter Penguin stamp set! so cute!
and I even tried a technique that I've been wanting to tackle FOREVER!

I did some ink blending in the background with Chipped Sapphire and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks. 
then I splattered on some white acrylic paint, and distress ink color to the background!my favorite thing, guys! I just can't help myself!

I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Clear Color Real Brush Markers, even that little reflection!!
AND THE REFLECTION, GUYS!! so much fun to do! and I really just LOVE how it came out!! expect to see me do this many more times! ha!
I used this video I found on youtube here, it's SUPER easy! ha!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto a strip of black cardstock and also stamped directly onto the 'ice'...that's fun! ha!

Fawny Holiday Week 2018 - Day 4

hi there!
welcome to day4 of the very Fawny Holiday Week on the Lawn Fawn blog!

and as part of the Lawn Fawnatics DT, I'm super excited to be able to contribute to this week long, holiday celebration!!

today my card up on the Lawn Fawn Blog featuring the super adorable and cute Winter Otter stamp set! one of my faves!!

I did some ink blending directly onto the vellum (which I tore, to add some texture) with Distress Inks (Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feathers)! love love love adding color to vellum! then I splatted some white acrylic paint on top of the 'waves' for a winter look and feel!

I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Clear Color Real Brush Markers, and then fussy cut the out! I just love that little candy cane! 

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto a strip of black cardstock and then I cut it apart and fussy cut out the 'otterly' part for a little bit of whimsy!
oh yeah! I also added some stars with white embossing paste, in the background, for some dimension and texture. I just LOVE the white on white!

Fawny Holiday Week 2018 - Day 3

hello again!
so excited to move along with day 3 of the very Fawny Holiday Week on the Lawn Fawn blog!

and as part of the Lawn Fawnatics DT, I'm super excited to be able to contribute to this week long, holiday celebration!!

this time, I have a layout to share!

and I used the adooooooorable Holiday Helpers stamp set!

I started by coloring the images with Zig Clean Clear Color Real Brush Markers, and then fussy cutting them out!
I used the 6x6 Really Rainbow paper pad for the red and green squares, and then machine stitched them on! 

the cute cute elves, were popped up with foam tape, and I also made little strips of text with the sentiments from the set!
I used embossing paste and star stencil to add some texture to the background!

and if you're curious...my littlest Mann thought it would be advantageous to try to 'bribe' Lightning, our elf on the shelf, with some play money and a note telling the elf how much he loves him...ha ha ha!! when I walked by one day and saw that, I started laughing so hard! definitely he's on the naughty list! ha!!

Fawny Holiday Week 2018 - Day 2

hello again!
welcome to day 2 of the very Fawny Holiday Week on the Lawn Fawn blog!

and as part of the Lawn Fawnatics DT, I'm super excited to be able to contribute to this week long, holiday celebration!!

today my card up on the Lawn Fawn Blog features those cute, cute sheep from the absolutely adorable Christmas Dreams stamp set!

I did some ink blending in the background with Distress Oxide Inks (Wilted Violet and Shaded Lilac), onto the piece of patterned paper from the Really Rainbow 6x6 paper pad! then I splattered some water on top!

the 'wall paper' of the card is some light, light grey embossing paste and a woodgrain stencil!

I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Clear Color Real Brush Markers, and then fussy cut the out! then I added some glitter to the ornaments and bow on the bone! It's all because of Christy Gets Crafty, that I'm falling in love with Stickles again!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto a strip of black cardstock!

I really LOVE the texture and dimension on this card!

Fawny Holiday Week 2018 - Day 1

hey there!

today is the start of the very Fawny Holiday Week on the Lawn Fawn blog!

and as part of the Lawn Fawnatics DT, I'm super excited to be able to contribute to this week long, holiday celebration!!

today my card up on the Lawn Fawn Blog features those cute, cute sheep from Baaah Humbug!

I did some ink blending in the background with  Distress Oxide Inks (Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade!), and then splattered water on top! I also splattered some white acrylic paint, to give it a little feel of snow!

I colored the sheep and accessories with Zig Clean Clear Color Real Brush Markers, and then fussy cut the out!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto a strip of black cardstock, and then I used some black and white diagonal wash to add a little pop of contrast!

Lawn Fawn's Fawny Holiday Week 2017 - Day 2

good morning!
today is day 2 of Lawn Fawn's Fawny Holiday Week! 

I just LOOOOVE this time of year and making holiday cards with Lawn Fawn is SO FUN and so easy! ha!
this time, I'm up on the Lawn Fawn blog with a scrapbook layout featuring the Merry Messages stamp set and the Stitched Snowflakes dies!

I heat embossed the phrases in white, onto strips of black cardstock, then attached them to my layout around my photos! i just LOVE those pops of black!

oh, and you may have noticed I did LOTS of die cutting! ha! I watercolored in rainbow colors onto cardstock, then die cut out lots and lots of those snowflakes! then I added  them to my layout in a kind of loose snowflake shape around the photo!! so fun!

I also stamped some of those sparkly star images around the snowflake die cuts! 

I hope this layout inspires you to document some of your favorite holiday memories! I just LOVE this photo of my little Menn on Christmas morning...and did you see our cat Phoenix in the background?! it looks like he's smiling big, too!! but he's really chomping on the tree branch in the background of the photo!! I laughed SO HARD when I saw that in the picture!! ha!
