Create a Smile Stamps February 2020 Release!
hello!!!
I'm so excited to share some of the new February Create a Smile Stamps release with you!!
there are SO many stamps and stencils being released, and they're all so creative and FUN!
my first card uses the beautiful Magnolia stamp set!
swoon! love those images SO much!
coloring flowers is NOT my strong suit, and I even went with soft colors - another thing outside of my comfort zone!! but I still like how this came out!
I colored all of the images with Copic markers and then fussy cut them out with a small white border!
for the background, I used a wide, dry paintbrush, and some black gesso! love the brushstrokes!
also, all of the flowers were popped up with foam tape!
then I heat embossed the sentiment in white using the Just Saying Hello stamp set!
my second card combined the new Pepperific stamp set and Look Here stencil!
so FUN!!!!
I decided to color the pepper like a yellow pepper, just for fun! and then I thought, well I might as well go all in and use some dark blue cardstock for the base! I love the combination of the complimentary colors here! it really helps the yellow pop!!
and speaking of the yellow, I accented some of the arrows that I used with the stencil and embossing paste, with some of the chevron shapes from the Sending Sunshine Enamel Stickers! such a fun little detail!
my last card was created with both the Quill & Ink stamp set and perfect Splotch Stencil!
looooooooooove!!!!
eeeeep! I used Distress Inks in Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold to ink blend that splotch! then I colored the ink bottle in the same colors!
I popped up the bottle and the quill with foam tape!
I also splattered some water and ink color around the big stenciled area! and finished it off with some white gel pen accents to the images!
I hope these cards have you inspired! be sure to check out the Create a Smile Stamps blog so you can see all of the other AMAZING and inspiring creations by the DT!!!
and be sure to grab your favorite items here, in the shop!
enjoy!

paw-some puppy wishes!
hello!
today I have a sweet birthday card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!
I love it!
all of the images are from the Fabulous Frenchies stamp set! I stamped them out, then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! once they were all dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out! so easy!
for the background, I used the Clouds Stencil to create the sweet, puffy clouds! I used Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry and Squeezed Lemonade to ink blend! the orange-y/coral color was the two ink blended together! LOVE how it looks! then I splattered some water and color over the clouds!
I stamped bunch of the smaller images on the side of the card in black ink, to add a pop of contrast! love it!!! I just think that birthday pup is so sweet!
be sure to check this card out on the Newton's Nook Designs blog, too!
enjoy!

good times in the summer layout!
hello hello!
today I have a layout up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
I know, I know, a layout - it's not a lot of people's jam, but I do like to make one every now and again!
and I thought that it would be in keeping with the theme of the current challenge - bringing it back! ha!
I did some watercoloring on the background, and then stamped some clouds from the Plane & Simple stamp set up and down the watercolored area!
I also stamped hearts around the clouds, too!
oh yeah! I also used some embossing paste and a stencil to add some circles on the watercolored area, just to add a little texture!
then I just embellished the area with various wood veneers and buttons I had in my stash!
also, as part of the bring it back challenge, I used some ribbon to frame my photo! ribbon!!! I can't remember the last time I used it not on a tag! so fun to break it out again!
be sure to check out the layout on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog! or if layouts are not your thing, then...carry on with your day! lol!
enjoy!
