Sweet Stamp Shop June 2017 Release!

hello and happy Wednesday!
today is a LOT of things! it's the official start of summer! it's the longest day of the year! and it's also the release of the Sweet Stamp Shop's June release!! SOOOOO exciting!!

here's a peak at what you can get your hands on today!

eeeee!
there are two separate bundles available TODAY and then the singles will be released on Friday! :)

seriously, i don't even know where to start! ha!
i made a bunch of cards, so let's dive in!

arrrgh!! LOVE that pirate pup!! ha ha! i combined a BUNCH of the new sets - because they work so well together! i colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then created the background with Distress Inks!
I used Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo for the beachy, ground. And Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the sky! love it!

my 2nd card is AWESOME! i combined old with new for this super patriotic card!

love it!
the soldier is from Army Hero, and the flag and sentiment are from two of the NEW sets!! LOVE combining old and new! who's ready for the 4th of July?! ha!

and lastly, is my FAVORITE card...

mermaids!!!!!
i can never never NEVER have too many mermaids!! looooove these!! looooooove the unlimited color options you can create! for my first card with these images, i just HAD to create an Ariel/King Triton card! it's not my fault - blame 1980-something me! ha! LOOOOOVE adding white gel pen and dark dots to the tails to add a sense of 'shimmer'!!

so that's just a taste of what you can expect from the release! what's your favorite set? are you a bundle buyer or a single stamp set shopper?
enjoy!

this challenge is AMAZING!!!

yay!!i really had SO much fun making this card - as usual!! use watercolors you say? don't mind if i do! ha!! :)

all of the images are from either Mermaid for You or Life is Good! I stamped and colored them all in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! it's hard to tell, of course (!!!), but i added glitter to all of the shells and some 'bubbles' to the giant wave with some clear drops from Pretty Pink Posh! :)

oh yeah...speaking of that giant wave...I LOVE IT!! I used my Gansai Kuretaki 36 set watercolors and some left over packaging to create the wave! i used 3 different blues, and 2 diferent browns, and lots of waiting for paints to dry, and layering! i am in LOVE with how this came out!! first try! ha! it really helps set the scene for this adorable card!

oh, i really can't WAIT for you to play along! you could win a $25 gift certificate to Lawn Fawn!!!!

enjoy!

the Inky Paws Challenge has moved to it's own blog!! yay!! you can find it here! :)

this time, we have a sketch to jump start your creativity!

sketches are AWESOME! you can use them exactly as they're shown, or you can just be inspired and interpret the sketch in your own way! and that's what i did!

i used two sets to create this cute Father's Day card: Around the House and Winston's BBQ

I stamped and colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and the fussy cut them out! The nails were SO fun to stamp, with only a little bit of masking! :) I also popped up the images with foam tape! the background was blended with Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed Distress Inks!

please think about playing along if you are itching to get your paws inky! we would love to see you!

Newton's Nook Designs June Release - Newton Rides West + coordinating Die

hello!
woo-hoo! it's the last day of the Newton's Nook Designs June release!!

this month's release is amazing, fun and SO CUTE!
today the whole team is showing off the Newton Rides West + coordinating dies! you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on June 16th, right here!

for my first card, I cut a cactus shape two times with my Silhouette!

I colored in all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then die cut them out! I fussy cut out the sentiment after I stamped it, and then placed it between those two arms of the cactus! so fun!

I used the coordinating die cuts to cut out Newton and his sheriff badge! love that!!! and the clouds are from the Newton Scoots By stamp set and dies! I added color to the cactus shapped card with Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Inks! Then sprinkled some water and color drops onto it! LOVE the texture!

my second card is back to the traditional size:

I just love this little scene!!
I started by using a sheet of printer paper to mask off the sky, then some Mustard Seed and Vintage Photo Distress Ink for the ground - best combo ever!!!!! The 'sky' is really more of a green-y/cactus background with Twisted Citron Distress Ink! Love it!

All of the images were color with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut! Some of the images were popped up, and that sentiment just cracks me up!!!!

today the whole team is showing off the Cuppa Cactus & Cultivated Cacti + coordinating dies! you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on June 16th, right here!

my first card uses those cute cute cute cacti from the Cucca Cactus set!

I colored in all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then die cut them out! one of the images was even cut three more times to place around my card! Ha ha!

i popped up some of the cacti with foam tape! oh, for the background, I used Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed Distress Inks to create the soft, blended background!
for the background of the card base, I stamped the images randomly with black ink!

for my second card I used the Cultivated Cacti set!

I colored directly onto the stamp images with the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then added shading and dimension once the images were stamps with the markers, too!
some of the images were popped up with foam tape, and the background was created with Peacock Feathers Distress ink!

I finished the card off by flicking black ink all over the whole thing!

Newton's Nook Designs June Release - Furr-ever Friends

hello!
welcome to the 2nd day of the Newton's Nook Designs June release!!

this month's release is amazing, fun and SO CUTE!
today the whole team is showing off the Furr-ever Friends! this is a sad, but necessary set! i've been waiting for one like this, for a while.  you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on June 16th, right here!

here's my first card:

I used some Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and the packaging technique to create the sunset background. Then I die cut that out with a circle shape!

i heat embossed the cat image, and the sentiment in black, and used some Distress Ink Oxide Iced Spruce to create that grey background. I added some white stars with embossing paste and a stencil!

my second card can be used for a loss of any kind:

I stated by making that bright, rainbow, watercolored background. Again, I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers: scribbled them onto a piece of old plastic packaging, spritzed with water and smooshed the packaging onto the card front.

Next, I stamped the forever phrase onto white cardstock and fussy cut around it. I did the same with the wings, but used vellum, and then lots of shimmer from the Wink of Stella pen.

these little cuties are just so adorable!
i made a little peekaboo window for my first card!

i stamped and colored these little guys with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out! easy!
I used Peacock Feathers, Chipped Sapphire and Blueprint Sketch to ink blend the sky, and Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Inks for the grasses (both inside and out!)

I die cut a little circle from the front of the card, so you can see into the inside! so fun!! and I finished off the card with some small black splatters and wood veneer stars!!

love those pups!!
my 2nd card is simpler but still cute, I think!

I stamped pretty much all of the images from the stamp set with a light grey ink onto the background of my card! then I heat embossed the sentiment in black onto a strip of vellum, cut to a banner!

i popped up the blue ribbon, and added it to that sweet, puppy!!
