magical holiday wishes, coming to you!

hello and happy Wednesday!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

for the current challenge, we're all about holiday critters, and what's better than a magical sleigh pulled by a team of christmas unicorns?

I looooove this card!
the slimline format is the BEST way to show this scene off! I used the Large Slimline with Sliders die set for my background!

I started by using Distress Inks in Black Soot, Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral and Dried Marigold to ink blend the background! then I splattered on some water and white acrylic paint! once it was dry, I used the perfect Snowflake Trio Stencil to add some texture to the background with white embossing paste!

I stamped the unicorns from Unicorn Picnic, A Little Sparkle and Winter Unicorn and the sleigh and santa's bag from Ho-Ho-Holidays! I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut them out!
I also added foam tape to all of the unicorns so they're popped up!

lastly, I used the Puffy Cloud Borders and die cut out some clouds from white cardstock and vellum!
and that's my card!

Fawny Holiday Week 2020 - Day 6

another Fawny Holiday week in the books!

I'm so excited for this week on the Lawn Fawn blog - the Fawny Holiday week! 
and I'm lucky enough to be able to participate as part of the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge design team!

I'm finishing out this week with a sweet, winter scene!

aw, I just love those guys!
I used the images from Beary Happy Holidays and colored them all in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! then I fussy cut them out! I'm all for making your own christmas gifts, and that's exactly what this little polar bear is doing! ha!

I die cut out some ice with the Stitched Pond die, and then used the negative pieces instead, and popped them up with foam tape! I added some ink blending to the edges with Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers Distress inks! then I splattered some water and acrylic ink on top!

finally, I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto a strip of Black Licorice Cardstock!

Fawny Holiday Week 2020 - Day 5

hi again!
I'm so excited for this week on the Lawn Fawn blog - the Fawny Holiday week! 
and I'm lucky enough to be able to participate as part of the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge design team!

today's post is a scrapbook layout! I couldn't let the celebration go by without sharing a layout! ha!

so fun!

I started by covering my whole paper in white gesso. once that was dry, I added the snowflakes with embossing paste and the Snowflake Trio Stencil! then I added the watercolor in aquas and dark teals! once that was dry, I was able to start scrapping! lol!

I die cut out the title from Black Licorice cardstock using the Oliver's Stitched ABCs dies! then I popped them all up with foam tape! I also heat embossed the 'christmas' onto black cardstock, from the Christmas Dreams stamp set! I fussy cut it out, and also popped it up with foam tape!

I used the cute little gingerbread man from Oh Snap to be the 'A' in the title!

I stamped and colored in a few more of the cookies, and I just had to include the broken one...there's always a few cookies that never make it to the oven! lol!
I used some papers from Snow Day Remix to back my photos, along with tissue paper, and did a little embellishing with some woodgrain snowflakes and a bow!

Newton's Nook Designs Winter Release - Newton’s Snowman + coordinating die and Happy New Year Stamp Set

well, we made it!! it's day 4 of Newton's Nook Designs' October release!

 

and as you can tell, it's all about that winter wonderland! yay!

oh how I love all of these new stamps, stencils and dies!! just wait until you see it all! but in the mean time, check out what we're working with today: Newton’s Snowman + coordinating die and Happy New Year Stamp Set.
you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on November 20th, right here! 

my first card uses the mini Happy New Year stamp set!

it's so fun, right? I used the Slimline Frames & Portholes die set for the base of my card. then I used the Balloon Shaker Die Set to die cut out 2 vellum and 1 white cardstock balloon! I used Distress Inks to add color to the balloons! I looooove vellum balloons! 

then I heat embossed the image onto the yellow balloon and attached them to the card!

lastly, I used some sprakly embossing paste and the Cascading Stars Stencil to add a little more shine and sparkle to the celebratory card!!

my next card uses the new Newton's Snowman set, and I am in love with that image!



so fun!
I used the Sky Borders Die Set to create some bumpy, fluffy snow for this scene!

and for the background, I used Distress Oxide Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio. then I splattered some water and white acrylic paint on top! then once it was all dry, I used the Sunscape stencil and some more of the sparkly embossing paste on top! ooooooo! lol!

I colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut it out with the coordinating die! I also used the Speech Bubbles Die Set for the phrase, which was heat embossed in white! then I used the same colors as the background to add color to the speech bubble! which I backed by another speech bubble die cut from black and white patterned paper!

Get Cracking on Christmas - he shoots, he scores!

ok, let's get onto my card!
I combined lots of companies on my card - and I was finally able to make a (slightly!) hockey related Christmas card!

so cute!
I used the images from the Avery Elle Winter Friends stamp set for most of them! but I did sneak in that hockey stick and puck images from an oooooollllddddd....like super old...2014 old (ha!) stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.

all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut out! and I couldn't resist adding some glitter to the hat, stick and puck!
I also used the Stitched Hillside Borders and Stitched Pond die sets from Lawn Fawn to finish the scene!
I used Distress Inks in Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio for the frozen pond, and then Wilted Violet and Black Soot for the sky! then I splattered water and white acrylic paint on top!

welcome to day 3 of Newton's Nook Designs' October release!

I super love these cute, adorable little snowmen! 

unlike yesterday...my card is pretty simple, and uses the stamp set as it is intended! I used the
Circle Frames and Banner Trio Dies to create a shaped card! the sentiment was heat embossed in white on vellum and then die cut out! love that 3D banner-style!

 

everything was colored with Zig Clean Clear Real Brush markers! and then I finished off the card with some sequins!
