hello!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics challenge blog!
the current challenge is all about a fall themed card - and I couldn't resist using these adorable bats!

I stamped and colored the images from You Autumn Know and Fangtastic Friends with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. then once they were dry, I added details with a white gel pen and then die cut them out.

the background was created with the awesome Birch Tree Stencils! I used Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Dried Marigold and Squeezed Lemonade for the sky. then I splattered a little bit of water on top!
I used Lost Shadow for the trees themselves!

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto black cardstock and then popped it up with foam tape! I also popped up all of the bats with foam tape! they're just so cute!

cutest cuddle puddle layout!

 hello there!
today I'm feeling the monday vibes and wishing I was in this cuddle puddle with my kittens!!

this layout is up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!
I had so much fun doing lots of mixed media! I used the Meow Stencil and white embossing paste to create the circle in the center. then once it was dry, I used watercolors in yellows, lime greens and grey over it all.

I also die cut out lots and lots of stars with the Sky Scene Builder dies from the Birthday Meows Paper Pad. I stamped all around the area with the Cat-itude stamp set in black and also sprinkled the stars and various puffy chipboards too!!

then I stitched all around it the whole circle!

I know it's not a card, but the same techniques can still be appplied to a card, too!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #157 - Awesome Autumn

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

yay!

   

I just love making fall-themed cards! the color choices are endless!
this time, I decided to go pinks and purples and all the warm colors! lol!

I stamped the tree from Wild Wolves, and the mice and leaves from You Autumn Know and colored them all with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once they were dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.

 

 

then I die cut out some tree canopies with the Puffy Cloud Borders from white cardstock. I sued Distress Inks in Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral and Dried Marigold and then used the Fall Leaves Background Stencils and the same colors to add a tone on tone subtle leafy background! 
I used Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade to ink blend the sky.  

 

for the ground, I die cut out the hills and grass with the Stitched Hillside Borders and Grassy Border then used Distress Inks in Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo. 

 

love the warm colors of the scene!
I sprinkled the leaves all over and then popped up the mice foam tap.

finally, I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto black cardstock and then popped it up with foam tape.

peekaboo pop-up with wolves!

hello!
today I have card up on the Lawn Fawn blog, and you know what that means - I have a video too!

I used the adorable new Wild Wolves and Wolf Before 'n Afters stamp sets and combined them with the balloons from Party Animal and Really High Five!
oh, and did I mention I used the Peekaboo Pop-Up die set to add a little extra kick?

soooo cute!
I stamped all of the images and then colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! once they were dry I added some details with a white gel pen and die cut them out.

I used the Peekaboo Pop-Up die set and die cut out the two main panels from white cardstock. then I did lots of ink blending! I actually cut out the main panel a 3rd time, and cut two of the panels with the stitched hill die so I could layer the hills!
I used Black Soot, Uncharted Mariner, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina for the sky. Plus a little glow of Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade for the moon!

I used Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles for the hills and grass!

then it was the fun part! I attached the moon with some acetate to the pop up mechanism and so it looks like it's floating in the sky!
I also sprinkled lots of star images in the sky and even hid a little balloon on one of the folds!

I could play with this card all day! it was so fun to make, and WAY easier than I thought it would be!

my card uses the new Ghostly Good Times Stamps and dies and Spooky Sentiments Hot Foil Plate!

I used the Ghosts Stencil and a rainbow of Distress Inks on white cardstock.
then I used some clear embossing paste on top!
once it was dry, I used Distress Inks in Black Soot and Lost Shadow!

 

 

I heat embossed the ghosts from Ghostly Good Times in white and then die cut them out.
then I flipped one of the vellum ghosts so they were facing the same direction.

I used the Spooky Sentiments Hot Foil Plates in white onto vellum and then die cut it out with the Banner Duo Die Set! then the whole panel was die cut with the Frames & Flags Die Set!

I colored them all with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
then I trimmed off the tail of one of the kitties and glued it to the otherside! so easy!

 

I die cut out the vellum circle with the Circle Frames Die set! i love how it softens the paper a little behind the images! the spiderweb paper is from the new Halloween Time paper pad!
on the background, I used some fog cardstock, and the Lost Shadow Distress Inks with the Clouds Stencil. then I splattered some white acrylic ink on top!

I used the new Spooky Sentiments Hot Foil plate in gold on vellem! then I die cut it out with the A7 Frames & Banners die set!
I also added some texture with white embossing paste and the Flying Bats Stencil.

i think this card is one of my favorites ever created!

oh my gosh, right?!
sooooo cute and adorable! I am in love with those cute ghosts!
I colored them all with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!

 

I popped up all of the larger ghosts with foam tape!
on the background, I used some fog cardstock, and the Lost Shadow Distress Inks with the Clouds Stencil. then I splattered some white acrylic ink on top!

my second card uses the new Spooky Line Stencil!

I ink blended the graves/tree and then used clear embossing paste on top. once it was dry, I used the stars section and also added clear embossing paste.

once it was dry, I used Distress Inks in Uncharted Mariner, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina. then I used some white embossing paste and the ghosts portion of the stencil!! 

 

 

I used the new Spiderweb Hot Foil Plate and some black foil for the base of the card! the sentiment is also hot foiled, but in white! with the new Spooky Sentiments! it was then die cut with the A7 Frames & Banners die set!
