hello and happy Friday!
today, Create a Smile Stamps is releasing a holiday extravaganza of stamps, dies and stencils!
I used the new Christmas is Coming stamp set and Talk to Me Stencil to create my first card!
I stamped and colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut them out! I love those little puffins decorating the northpole sign!! adorable!
I ink blended the background with Distress Oxide Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio. then I layered some torn vellum and white cardstock on top for the frozen tundra!
I used the new stencil and added some Black Ink for the speech bubble, and then heat embossed the sentiment!
so fun!
my next card uses the new Santa's Little Helpers stamp set and Basic Hearts Stencil!
eeep! that little santa (or elf!) is soooo busy wrapping all the presents!!
again, I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut them all out!
I did some ink blending with Abandoned Coral and Dried Marigold Distress Inks. then I used the Basic Hearts stencil with the same colors, but with a little more pressure. then, I used the Snowflake Stencil and some white embossing paste to add even more texture to the background!
I love the whimsical feel of this card!
be sure to follow Create a Smile Stamps on Instagram to see the rest of the DT's AMAZING creations!
enjoy!
hello and 'hoppy' Thursday!
today I am sharing too cute to spook Halloween card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!
aren't those bunnies adorable?! they're from the Hoppy Halloween stamp set! and bonus: this is one of the sets retiring, you can grab it for a super reduced price! win-win!
all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then I used the the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
I went with some pinks and corals and yellows, so the images would really pop against the background!
and speaking of that background...I used the Pumpkin Patch Stencil with some Duo Transfer Gel! once it was dry, I used black flock to create that eye catching - and FUN TO TOUCH (ha!) background!
I added a strip of vellum, so that images wouldn't get lost on that bold, busy background! then I used the word dies from the Halloween Trio die set! so fun!
be sure to check out the card up on the Newton's Nook blog, too!
enjoy!

All week the NND Design Team will be sharing inspiration using some of their favorite Halloween products to get you in the mood for tricks and treats! Check out what I created today and don't forget to check the NND Blog each day this week for more fun inspiration!
for my card, I combined some old and new Halloween stamp sets!
I used the moon image from the Brooms & Boos Stamp Set and the super adorable Newton on the broom image Newton's Boo-tiful Night Stamp Set!!
all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then I fussy cut them out!
I also used the Clouds Stencil to add to the spooky night feel! I started by ink blending the night sky without the stencil. I used Distress Oxide Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch. Then I used Black Soot and Iced Spruce with the Clouds Stencil! love how that looks!
then I added some stars with the Cascading Stars Stencil and some white embossing paste! love that texture!
lastly, the sentiment was heat embossed onto some black cardstock, and then die cut out with the Banner Trio Die Set!

hello there!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog! and I was inspired by the beautiful inspiration photo of the latest challenge! swoon!
I used alcohol inks to mimic the gorgeous flow of the photo! I used blues and teals and even a mint color to add color to my ocean/lake scene for those adorable manatees!
I stamped all of the images from the Manatee-rific and then colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I fussy cut them all out, once they were dry.
I looooove the alcohol ink background, but I wanted to add another layer of waves, so I used vellum and die cut it with Stitched Wave Borders! the vellum adds another layer, but then also you can see through it to the gorgeous alcohol ink!
so fun!
be sure to check out the card on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog, and play along, too!
enjoy!
