ha ha ha!
I'm so sorry, but this sentiment has been CRACKING ME UP since I saw it on a t-shirt and just KNEW I had to make it into a card!
and this time, the card is up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
I created it with the current challenge theme in mind - using die cuts!
I used the Stitched Hillside Borders Dies to create the wavy borders of the scene! I love that look, and it's always so fun to use the dies in a unique way!
I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then fussy cut them out!
of course, the cute, cute shark is from Duh-Nuh!
I added some festiveness to him with the hat from Christmas Fishes, and the scarf from Winter Narwhal!
the seaweed and rocks are also fun Christmas Fishes!
the sentiment was created with Harold's ABC's and heat embossed in white!
I used Distress Inks in Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feathers to ink blend the background, then splattered some water and white acrylic paint!
I finished off the card with some bubble sequins!
be sure to play along with the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, and check out my card there, if you're feeling the urge!

Jaw Humbug!
hello and happy tuesday!
today I'm sharing a fun, custom phrased card that's up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!
are you laughing?!
I hope so! I saw this phrase on a t-shirt and had to race home to make it on a card!
and it made me giggle the whole time!
to create the card, I used Distress Inks in Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio to create the ink blended background. then I placed the Waves & Splashes Stencil and used the same colors, but more pressure, to add the wavy look!
then I used the Essential Alphabet Die Set to die cut out the phrase! ha! I placed some grey cardstock under the negative space from the letters, and then used my white gel pen to add some accents.
I colored the sharks from Shark Bites with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut them out!
I couldn't resist adding the santa hats from Newton's Christmas Kittens stamp set! then I added some tiny pom-poms to the tops of the hats!! such a cute addition of texture!
be sure to out this card on the Newton's Nook Designs blog, too!
enjoy!

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
yay!
I am always happy to stretch my card-making skills with this challenge!! I love love love seeing and making cards with dies, especially interactive cards - but sometimes I get intimidated, so this is the perfect excuse to make them!
I decided to use the Shadow Box Card Die Set to set the scene!!
once the bases for the shadow box card were cut out, I used Distress Inks in Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold and two pieces of computer paper to create the stripes! I really *LOVE* the candy cane feel of this christmas card!
all of the images were stamped and then colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! then once they were dry, I fussy cut them out!
I also die cut out a few extra hills/snow banks to add along the outside of the scene!
I really can't WAIT for you to play along! you could win a $25 gift certificate to Lawn Fawn!!!!
enjoy!

next, I die cut out the pond, but used the outside part of the die cut for my card! then I used Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks to add color to the inside image of the pond. then I splattered some water over top...because...I'm Sam! ha!
then, I stamped the bear image onto some old packaging and then pressed that onto the pond, to create the upside down, mirrored image! then I used the same markers that I used to color the main image, but reallllllly diluted! soooo fun!
I stamped the sentiment onto some pink cardstock, heat embossed the phrase, and then popped that up!!
love how this came out!
