Newton's Nook Designs November Release - Cup of Cocoa Stamp Set + coordinating Die, Frozen Fellowship Stamp Set, Fancy Edges Tag Die and Frames & Flags Die

hello again!

welcome to the start of Newton's Nook Designs November release!

this month's release is all about winter!! It's so fun!!
and oh my gosh you guys...this release is PACKED!! today we are sharing projects created with Cup of Cocoa Stamp Set + coordinating Die, Frozen Fellowship Stamp Set, Fancy Edges Tag Die and Frames & Flags Die!! whew!
you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on November 24th, right here!

I had SO MUCH fun making my cards!

ok, you guys know I had to start off this release with a rainbow, right?!

all of the images were stamped and die cut out! I colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then added some highlights and details with my white gel pen! 

before I added the images to the card front, I used some white embossing paste and the Starfield Stencil to add some subtle texture to the background! then I went over the stenciled areas with my glitter pen to add some shine!

my second card uses the new Frozen Fellowship stamp set and the Frames and Flags die!! This is a match made in HEAVEN!! 

again, I colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, but I kept the color palette simple with some pinks, mints and greys! then of course, lots of details with the white gel pen for fun! 

I heat embossed the sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock, then added some sequins for a little extra something, something! :)

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #17 - Color Inspiration!

yahooo! it's time for a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

I'm totally loving this winter-y wonderful feel!!

I had so much fun creating my card for this challenge!! :)

I used the mini Winter Owl stamp set for this and colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, then fussy cut them out! I cut off the end of the scarf on one of the owls, then just adhered it in place on the other side of the scarf to mix up the images! (so they didn't look exactly the same!)

then, I die cut out a snowflake image using the Stitched Snowflakes die, and backed it with a piece of watercolored cardstock! I created the watercolor look with Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feathers!

Lawn Fawn's Fawny Holiday Week 2017 - Day 5

hello!!!
I'm helping to wrap up another incredible, inspiring, amazing week of Lawn Fawn's Fawny Holiday Week!

I just LOOOOVE this time of year and making holiday cards with Lawn Fawn is SO FUN and so easy! ha!
this cute little guy from Yeti, Set, Go is probably one of my favorite images!! just look how happy he is!!

I stamped and colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! I used part of a circle die to cut the shape out of white cardstock, then backed with some watercolor I did! LOOOOOVE those bright yellows and pinks for a winter sky!!

I added my trees along the 'horizon' and then splattered everything with white acrylic paint so it would look like snow! love how this card came out!

hello and happy day!
it's a busy week on my blog, and today is no different!
I've got this cute, serene card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog today!

I really LOVE how this came out! and I'm totally not into mass producing holiday cards, but I'm seriously tempted with this one! it's just SO pretty!

I started by doing the 'rock and roll technique' with my Distress Oxide inks in Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron with the sweet, watercolor-vibey trees from Whispering Pines! *swoon* so pretty!
then I added some blues to the 'sky' by blending some Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass Distress ink right on top! SO pretty! I finished the background by flicking on some watered down white acrylic paint for the 'snow'!

I colored the fox from Fox Hollow with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, then fussy cut him out and popped him up over the scene! 
the sentiment is from the new Sentiments of the Season set, which I stamped in a rich black!
I finished off the card with some light blue sequins and then added it to the card front!

Lawn Fawn's Fawny Holiday Week 2017 - Day 3

hello!!!
it's another day, and another post for Lawn Fawn's Fawny Holiday Week! yahoo!

I just LOOOOVE this time of year and making holiday cards with Lawn Fawn is SO FUN and so easy! ha!
I couldn't let this celebration go by without coloring up the adorable otter from the mini Winter Otter set! 

I stamped and colored this little guy in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! LOVE how cute he is holding that candy cane! 
I created the background by using some scraps from die cutting with the Stitched Scalloped Borders die as masks and then blending with Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch! LOVE that ocean!

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto black cardstock and then fussy cut out the 'otterly' part for a little extra interest! I finished it off with some sequins!

Lawn Fawn's Fawny Holiday Week 2017 - Day 2

good morning!
today is day 2 of Lawn Fawn's Fawny Holiday Week! 

I just LOOOOVE this time of year and making holiday cards with Lawn Fawn is SO FUN and so easy! ha!
this time, I'm up on the Lawn Fawn blog with a scrapbook layout featuring the Merry Messages stamp set and the Stitched Snowflakes dies!

I heat embossed the phrases in white, onto strips of black cardstock, then attached them to my layout around my photos! i just LOVE those pops of black!

oh, and you may have noticed I did LOTS of die cutting! ha! I watercolored in rainbow colors onto cardstock, then die cut out lots and lots of those snowflakes! then I added  them to my layout in a kind of loose snowflake shape around the photo!! so fun!

I also stamped some of those sparkly star images around the snowflake die cuts! 

I hope this layout inspires you to document some of your favorite holiday memories! I just LOVE this photo of my little Menn on Christmas morning...and did you see our cat Phoenix in the background?! it looks like he's smiling big, too!! but he's really chomping on the tree branch in the background of the photo!! I laughed SO HARD when I saw that in the picture!! ha!
