Cup of Christmas Cheer Card

well hello there!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge!


the current challenge is all about those warm and cozy drinks and treats! I decided to make a cup overflowing with christmas cheer! lol!

I die cut out the cup from the Stitched Mug Frame die set. and the flowers were die cut from the Stitched Poinsettia dies! then I did lots of watercoloring with Distress Inks in Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry, Saltwater Taffy, Dried Marigold and Festive Berries for the petals. I used Cracked Pistachio, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Lucky Clover for the leaves! then I used the same colors and did ink blending over the images (once it was all dry) to add to the vibrancy!

I used Iced Spruce for the cup, and decided to make it a shaker card! I used white and clear sequins, as well as star sequins and white pompoms!! so fun!

for the background of the card, I die cut out a piece of white cardstock with the Simple Stripes: Diagonal die set to just a little bit of extra texture!

the sentiment was heat embossed from the Window Scene: Winter stamp set!

I love Fall card!

hi there!
today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!

love the fall pumpkins from this Fall Fringe stamp set! I heat embossed the image onto some white cardstock, then used Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries, Abandoned Coral, Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmelade and Saltwater Taffy to ink blend the colors together! eeeep! LOVE the color combo!

I fussy cut out that square image, and then used the dies from the Frames Squared Die Set! I die cut the scalloped image from vellum, and popped it up onto the stitched frame of the card shape. I heat embossed the sentiment in black onto more vellum, and then die cut it out with a stitched circle from Frames Square Die Set!

I finished the card off with a sprinkling of sequins and a twine bow! so fun!

ok, let's get onto my card!
I used the beautiful Stitched Poinsettia dies from Lawn Fawn!

so pretty!

I did some watercoloring on a sheet of cardstock with Distress Inks in Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry, Saltwater Taffy and Dried Marigold. once it was dry, I used the dies to die cut them out and then I splattered lots of white acrylic ink on top!

I layered the petals with and then popped up the top layer with foam tape. for the cardbase, I used a pinky-beige color cardstock!

I heat embossed the sentiment on baby pink cardstock in white from Snowy Backdrops! then I fussy cut out around it.
I finished off the card with some opaque white sequins.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #135 - Coffee, Tea and Treats

happy Monday!

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

Lawn Fawn has the cutest coffee and treaty images!! so fun!

what fun, right? lol!
I used the adorable images from Thanks a Latte! all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out with the coordinating dies. I couldn't resist adding a dollop of cream and a scarf to these cute warm drinks!

 

I used Distress Inks in Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold to create the warm snowflake background! then I used the Snowflake Background Stencils with the same colors, but more pressure, to create the tone-on-tone texture of snow!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto a strip of black cardstock and is the perfect compliment to those images and the snowy background!

I couldn't resist using pinks and golds!! I heat embossed the image in gold onto some coral colored cardstock. and then I die cut it out with the coordinating Oval Frames Die Set.
then I used Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold to add some contrast and color!

I heat embossed the sentiment in white in the center of the image!

then I used some white embossing paste with the Snowfall Stencil on some gold metallic cardstock for the background! sooooo pretty!

my first card uses the sweet, sweet image from the Christmas Nap set!

I used Distress Oxide Inks to create a serene and simple background so the image would pop! I used Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves and Squeezed Lemonade. I made sure to have the glow behind the star!

I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color the image, then I added some small details with a white gel pen!

the sentiment was die cut from the coordinating die set 4 times. then I glued it all on top of each other for some dimension!

my second card uses the sweet Newton's Gift stamps and dies!

I stamped and colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then I used the coordinating die to die cut it out! so fun! 

 

 

 

I used the gorgeous argyle paper from the new Canine Christmas paper pad! I die cut it with the Circle Frames Die Set to create the scalloped circle shaped card! I also used the dies to die cut out a circle from vellum, to layer on top.

then I used some white embossed paste and the Snowfall Stencil to add some texture! LOVE how this card came out!

my first card uses the cute cute cute Wreath Pups stamp set!

I used the paper from the new Christmas Time Paper Pad for the background! I just love that tone on tone pattern!

I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color the image, then I added some small details with a white gel pen!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock, then die cut using the Banner Trio Die Set! I finished off the card with some matte white enamel dots.

 

I used the Holiday Haul stamp set for my next card.
