Loads of Blooms + coordinating Die, Flower Trio Die, Bold Blooms Stencil, Bokeh Stencil Set
you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on February 15th, right here

my first project is a scrapbook layout of my bestie's kids from Easter last year!

Hello Easter Layout by Samantha Mann, scrapbook, mixed media, dies, layout, Newton's Nook Designs, #newtonsnook #scrapbook, #layout

this was so fun to make! I brushed on some pinks and corals and once it was dry, used some white embossing paste and the Bold Blooms stencil in the background!
I also sprinkled on some more of the pinks and corals and also white!

I die cut out the flowers from the Flower Trio Die many times with patterned papers and vellum, then stitched them all together for some dimension! then I sprinkled on lots of coordinating embellishments from my stash!

my 2nd project is a cute, cute birthday card with the new Loads of Blooms stamp set!

Happy Blooming Birthday Card by Samantha Mann, Newton's Nook Designs, handmade card, umbrella, rain, stencil, embossing paste, rainy day, #newtonsnook, #zigcleancolorrealbrushmarkers

I looooooove how this card came out! it may just be my new favorite!
I used Distress inks to ink blend the hills (Land Borders Die Set) and the clouds (Sky Borders Die Set), and layered them on top of the 'rain' background I used with white embossing paste and the grey cardstock!

hunting season layout

hello!!

today i have a layout up on the Newton's Nook blog!
last weekend, we colored eggs with my nephew and sister-in-law, and it was SO fun, i knew i had to scrap it right away!

i stamped and watercolored the eggs from Beautiful Spring and then die cut some antlers using the Splendid Stags Dies! we're not a hunting family, but i thought that adding the antlers to the eggs was SO funny, because OF COURSE we hid the eggs for the kids to 'hunt' for!! ha!

i used some embossing paste and a stencil to add some white on white texture, and then stitching the sentiment and the clusters of eggs with my sewing machine!

I used lots of random ephemera and scraps of patterned paper to layer behind my photo strip! LOVE the pops of bright colors, just like our eggs! :)

hope this made you smile! be sure to head over to the Newton's Nook Designs blog to keep up with the latest and greatest news!  :)
enjoy!

but there's more! there are hidden treasures on this layout!
and it's easter of course! (2010, to be exact!) i'll make try to make this short!

here are the highlights, and my favorite parts:

* the real easter grass

* the hidden picture (he was TERRIFIED of the easter bunny!)

* my peeps (get it? easter peeps, the treat, and then peeps, because it's all of his people around him! yeah, i think i explained that to my husband 30 times at least, just to make sure that was coming through! ha!)

(each of the hanging pictures actually hides a mini album on a brad!)

and because i couldn't stop there, i also made easter egg holders out of felt (nests!!!!) and decorated them with the cute little bird!
