oh happy spring day!

hello!
and happy Wednesday! today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
the current challenge is all things spring, so I made a card featuring a spring shower!

so sweet!
and of course, I couldn't resist throwing a rainbow or two on the card!
I stamped and colored the images from All the Clouds and Beary Rainy Day with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. then I added some details with a white gel pen, and cut them out with the coordinating dies!

for the backhground, I ink blended with Distress Inks in Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina. my favorite clear sky combo!
then I sprinkled the cloud images around and glued them directly to the card front.
I popped up the bear images with foam tape.

the sentiment from Beary Rainy Day was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice cardstock, and then cut into a strip. I also used foam tape to pop it up!

I am so excited to share this card on the Newton's Nook Designs blog today!
I combined a few stamp sets for this happy, bright scene!

I stamped the images from Gnome Garden Stamp Set and Fabulous Fungus Stamp Set and colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once they were dry, I used a white gel pen to add details and die cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I used Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio to ink blend the background. then I used the Sunscape Stencil along with more pressure of the same colors to add the tone on tone look of the rays. then I used some white embossing paste and the Cloudy Sky Stencil to add some clouds and texture! love it!

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto black cardstock and then popped it up with foam tape!

today I'm so excited to be sharing my card that's up on the Lawn Fawn blog!
and BONUS! I made a video to go with it!

All images from Hey There, Hayrides! Bunny Add-On, Carrot ‘bout You and Easter Party were stamped and then colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out! I also added some details to each image with a white gel pen.
I combined the new images with an older set because I love how easy it is to mix and match Lawn Fawn images! 

Also, let’s be honest, that bunny is too cute! 


I used the Reveal Wheel and Reveal Wheel Square Add-On dies to create a fun interactive element to my card! But instead of using the reveal wheel to reveal sentiments, I made it as part of a larger mechanism to move the bunny like he was riding along! 
I used the new papers from the Rainbow Ever After paper pad (my new favorite paper pad, for sure!). 

I love how the pastel colors compliment the sprint/easter feel of the card!
I also added some vellum grass at the base of the card to add a little more subtle texture to the scene!

I also added some vellum grass with the Grassy Borders Die Set. the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto Guava cardstock and then die cut with the Fancy Wavy Banners dies.

under the weather

hello!
today I have this sweet, get well card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!

so sweet!
there's something about umbrella images that are always my FAVORITE!! so this spring...get ready, I'm going full-on umbrella mode! lol!
I stamped and colored the images from Newton's Umbrella and then used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color them in! once it was dry, I added some details with a white gel pen and then die cut out the images with the coordinating dies!

for the background, I used the Clouds Stencil and some Distress Inks to add the happy, warm sky! I used Picked Raspberries, Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade. I loooove the warm pink tones!! I thought about splattering some water on top, but I actually used restraint! I wanted the raindrops themselves to be the star!

I finished the card off by popping up the main image with foam tape and then stamping the sentiment directly on the background of the card!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #167 - Spring Fling

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

yay!    

yay - it's spring time!
what better way to celebrate than by starting to create some Spring-themed Lawn Fawn cards!

I used images from both Easter Party, Happy Easter and All the Clouds and stamped them. I colored in the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once they were dry, I added some accents with a white gel pen and then fussy cut them out!

 

 

I used the Grassy Borders and Stitched Hillside Borders to die cut from white cardstock. then I used Distress Oxide Inks in Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles to ink blend the grass and hills!

 

I used Distress Oxide Inks in Dusty Concord, Chipped Sapphire and Milled Lavendar to ink blend the sky. then I splattered a small amount of water on top. 

the sentiment was heat embossed in white black licorice cardstock and then popped up with foam tape.

my first card uses the adorable Newton's Lucky Clover Stamp Set and the Shamrocks Hot Foil Plate!

so fun and happy, right?
any excuse to use rainbow for me is a good day! I used the rainbow foil with the Shamrocks Hot Foil Plate over some dark green cardstock!
the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.

 

I just love how bright and happy that rainbow background is! eeeeep!
I also sprinkled some extra shamrocks and hearts around the scene, too!
the white puffy clouds were die cut with the Sky Borders Die Set.

and then I just stamped the sentiment on the bottom of the clouds!

for my next card, I used the super cute Lucky Dog stamp set!

so fun!!
I used the Circle Frames Die Set and die cut them ALL out and then used Distress Inks to ink them into a rainbow!
I have been wanting to do that for a while, and I really like how it came out!

I also used Distress Inks to ink blend the sky (Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Mermaid Lagoon). then I heat embossed the sentiment in white on top! the perfect pop!

again, I used the Sky Borders Die Set and die cut it out from white cardstock as a landing place for the leprechaun pup and the rainbow! just adorable!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #166 - Interactive Cards

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

I had so much fun making this reveal wheel card!
I haven't made a reveal wheel card in a while, so it was to make it again!

I will always love making cards with these adorable unicorns from Unicorn Picnic and A Little Sparkle!
I also usually combine them with the clouds from All the Clouds, too!
all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out. I also added some details with a white gel pen!

 

I used the Reveal Wheel, Reveal Wheel Square Add-on, Reveal Wheel Arc Frame Add-on and Reveal Wheel Templates: Essential Shapes to create the interactive part of my card! I used Distress Inks in Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina for the sky on the square die cut. I used the same colors for the Arc Frame add on and the wheel portion!

the sentiments were heat embossed in white, and totally pop agaisnt those colors! I love how that looks. the sentiments are from the Reveal Wheel Sentiments stamp set.

 

for the background of the card, I used the Lots of Stars Background Stencils and white embossing paste.  then I also added some glitter paste on top too!! it's the perfect way to add some subtle texture to the background
