Popform Pop-Up Penguins!

hi!!
today I'm so excited to share my card that's up on the Lawn Fawn blog! and BONUS: I made a video too! you can check it out on the Lawn Fawn blog, or my youtube channel, here!

I started by stamping and coloring all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I stamped the images from Simply Celebrate Winter Critters, Penguin Party and Snow Cool.
once they were dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. I also added some details to each image with a white gel pen!

I couldn’t resist coloring the penguins in a teal color, just to change things up!


I used the Platform Pop-Up die set to for the card. I die cut 2 bases, 2 Ts and 3 hills all from white cardstock. Then I used the Brick Stencil and some Distress Oxide Ink in Lost Shadow to add the subtle grey color. I thought it would make the platform look like an igloo!! I hope that came through.


Instead of using a 3rd T shape to connect both platforms together, I used a circle Acetate die cut (inspired by Grace’s Card in the Intro to Platform Pop-Up video) and some Fair Dust Stencil Paste to add the sparkly snowflakes with the Snowflakes Backgrounds Stencils. so FUN!! 
I also die cut out the letters for JOY using the Henry’s ABCs dies. then I added color with Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina to mimic the colors of the penguins. I glued those to the side of the circle and it completed my sentiment. 


the rest of the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock from Scribbled Sentiments: Winter and then fussy cut out!

I love how this whole party just pops up when you 'open' the card!! so fun and SO unique!

hello and happy thanksgiving eve!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog, and it's all about those adorable holiday critters!

I used the cute, cute, cute sheep from the Baaah Humbug stamp set to create the card!
I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut them out! I added some stippling details with the dark grey marked and white gel pen to the cute sheep's wooly fur!

 

I die cut out the mountains with the Stitched Mountain Borders dies from white cardstock. I also die cut out the mountain tops, and used Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Ink to add some soft grey color to the tops!

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto black cardstock and then trimmed it into a banner!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #161 - Holiday Critters

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

yay!    

there's nothing more 'Lawn Fawn' than a holiday challenge focusing on the critters!
and I couldn't be happier to play along!

I stamped and colored these cute little pups with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
I used images from Furry and Bright and Joy to All. 

 

I used Distress Oxide Inks to create the 'homey' scene in the background! I used Squeezed Lemonade in for the starry glow of the tree. and then Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina for the walls. I also used Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber for the carpet. I love the soft, creamy look of the Distress Oxide Inks!

 

 

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto a strip of black cardstock and popped it up for dimension!
I kept this card simple so the mischievous pups themselves would be the star!

my first card uses the sweet Newton's Reading List set!

so fun and happy, right?
I colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut it out with the coordinating deis!
I used the same colors as the books to ink blend the background of the card in Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral and Dried Marigold.

I used the Pawprints stencil and the same colors, but with more pressure to add the tone-on-tone, subtle background.

for my next card, I used the just-as-adorable Puppy's Reading List set!

I just love that little guy! I thought it would be so cute to add a little park scene behind the image since he's reading a book about walking your human! lol!
I used the Tree Line Stencil for the background with Distress Inks and transluscent embossing paste!

then I die cut out a thin strip of grass using the Land Borders die set and added color with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks!

Lawn Fawny Holiday Week 2023!

hello!
today I'm here sharing a card I made as part of the Fawny Holiday Week celebration with Lawn Fawn!

today I made a slimline card with the adorable mice from Mice on Ice and Snowball Fight!

one of the reasons I love slimline cards the most is because you can expand on a scene! and these two sets were begging to be combined!
I colored them all with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut them out. I added foam tape to all of the images too.

I used alcohol inks to and yupo paper to create the look of the fozen pond! then I used the Scalloped Slimline with Hearts: Portrait die set to die cut out the pond!  I also die cut out some snowy hills with the Stitched Hillside Borders dies and white cardstock. then I used the same Slimline with Hearts: Portrait die set to die cut out the hills so they would all have the same scalloped borders!

I used Distress Oxide Inks in Black Soot, Iced Spruce and Lost Shadow to create the wintry sky. then I used some white embossing paste and the Birch Tree Stencils to add some texture! plus I just LOOOOVE that stencil set!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock and then I fussy cut out the 'joyful' and cut the rest into a banner! I also popped those up with foam tape!

my card uses some old and new products together!

so cozy and cute, right?
I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
this set is SO fun becasue you can create an endless variety of scenes!! and there are no wrong answers! lol

I used the Serene Stripes stencil and Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch and Mermaid Lagoon to create the wallpaper. then I used Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber for the 'carpet'. then I heat embossed the sentiment in white on top!

I used the Frames & Flags die set for the scene. then popped it all up with foam tape over the background that was created with white embossing paste and the Meow Stencil.

my first card uses the new Heartfelt Coffee Stamp set!

so fun and happy, right?
I stamped the image in black onto white cardstock and used Distress Inks in Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold. then I used a white gel pen to add white accents to the image! I die cut out the image with the Heart Frames Die Set.

I also die cut out the larger heart from the Coffee House Stories Paper Pad for the card base. I die cut out part of the sentiment with the Essential Alphabet Die Set and used Vintage Photo Distress Ink to add color.

I heat embossed the sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock that was ink blended with the same colors as the background. then I popped it all up on a vellum banner that was die cut with the Frames & Flags die set.

for my next card, I made a christmas card!

I couldn't resist making a card for christmas with these cute little Coffee Silhouettes Die set!
I die cut out these images from white cardstock and then added color with Distress Oxide ink in Twisted Citron, Pine Needles, Cracked Pistachio and Mowed Lawn. then I added some details with a white gel pen.

I used Distress Oxide Inks in Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral and Dried Marigold for the background and then die cut it out with the Frames & Flags die set.

 

 

I used vellum to die cut out the Ornament Shaker die set for behind the coffee images. 

my last card uses the new Coffee Beans Hot Foil Plate and Coffee Mug Hot Foil Plates & Die set!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto white cardstock and then die cut out with the Banner Trio Die Set!
I used the Coffee Beans Hot Foil Plate with some light gold foil onto white cardstock. then I used Vintage Photo, Ground Espresso and Fossilized Amber to add color.

then I used the die from Coffee Mug Hot Foil die to make a shaker card!
I used white bits and sequins to add for the shaker bits!

I popped it all up on the Coffee House Stories Paper Pad and the Frames Squared Die Set.
