Newton's Nook Designs Autumn Release - Fall Harvest + coordinating dies, Fall Leaves Hot Foil Plate, Autumn Greetings Hot Foil Plates

so excited to start this week with the Newton's Nook Designs August release!

all of these new products are so fun!

my first card uses the adorable stamp set and foil plates!

oh my gosh, right?!

that Fall Leaves Hot Foil Plate is PERFECT to add to a background of a card! then I used Distress Oxide Inks in Villainous Potion and Milled Lavender. I also used some Fade Jeans on top to add a little extra blue tone.

I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.

the sentiment is the Autumn Greetings Hot Foil Plate with white foil on vellum! which I then die cut with the Banner Duo Die set!

my second card also uses the new Autumn Greetings Hot Foil Plates with the oldie but goodie Fall Fringe Stamp Set!

I heat embossed the image in white and then used Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade and Abandoned Coral.
I die cut out the light grey cardstock and the cardbase with the Frames Squared die set. 

I used the Autumn Greetings Hot Foil Plate with gold onto vellum and then die cut it out with the Banner Duo Die set! and then I used a few gold sequins to embellish!

my last card uses the new Fall Harvest stamp set:

 

I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut them out!
I die cut out the card base, patterned paper from Love & Woofs and the vellum circle with the Circle Frames die set.

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto black cardstock and then fussy cut out around it!

then I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto white cardstock, die cut it from the Speech Bubbles die set and popped it up on the card!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #154 - Into the Woods

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

yay! 

such a fun challenge and so many options are available!
I decided to make a mountain-themed card this time!

I stamped and colored the images from Car Critters and Car Critters Road Trip Add-on with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! once everything was colored, I added some details with a white gel pen and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
I thought adding that cute little bear from the back seat was the cutest touch!! ha!!

so cute right?!
I used Distress Inks in Vintage Photo, Fossilized Amber and Walnut Stain for the mountains. and a little Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the tops! the mountains themselves were die cut from white cardstock with the Stitched Mountain Borders.

 

  

I also used Distress Inks to ink blend the road On the Road die cuts. which is the most fun die to add a road trip card!
I used Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers for the sky. then I used the Sunray Background Stencil and the same colors to add some light to the sky behind the mountains!

sympathy card

hello there!
today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog and it's something I don't usually do: sympathy cards!
I think those orchid images are so beautiful! this time I colored them in an orangey/peachy color.

I stamped the image 3 times from the Orchids stamp set and then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
once they were dry, I splattered some white acrylic ink on top. and then die cut them out with the coordinating dies.

for the background, I used alcohol inks on yupo paper to create the background. I used a small amount of black, navy and silver!

lastly, I heat embossed the sentiment from Bleeding Hearts in white onto vellum and attached it to the card.

yappy birthday slimline card

hello!
today I have a card on that's up on the Lawn Fawn blog, and it's adorable, I can't even lie! LOL
I love these cute puppies, and guess what? you can see me in action because there's a video!

see? what did I tell you? too cute, right?
I had a blast coloring up these pups from both the Yappy Birthday and Yappy Birthday Add-on sets! I wanted to color them all, but as it is, my card is pretty full of puppers! Ha!

All of the images were stamped and then colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Once they were dry, I added some details with a white gel pen to all of the, and then die cut them out. 


I also heat embossed the sentiment on vellum and then die cut it out with the Fancy Wavy Banners. 


For the background I die cut out card fronts from White 80lb Cardstock using the Large Slimline with Sliders. I die cut out the smaller rectangle twice. Then I used the Grassy Borders to die cut out a strip of grass from one of the smaller rectangles. I used Distress Inks to add color to the background. 
For the sky, grass I used Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles. And for the sky I used Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina. I used the same colors on the larger rectangle, too. Plus, I used the Lots of Stars Background Stencils to add some added details to the larger rectangle! so fun!


I used the Let’s Toast Pull Tab Add-on dies to create the interactive element on my card! That cute little rascal has run away with some of the birthday banners! ha!! It’s so adorable, I know! :)

yeti or not...it's Christmas (in July!)

hello and happy Wednesday!
today I have a fun card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

the current challenge theme is all about Christmas in July!! and boy did I have a blast!

adorable, right!?
I just love those sweet and cute Yetis from Yeti or Not! 
I paired them with images from Beachy Christmas, Furry & Bright and On the Beach.
all of the images were stamped and colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out with the coordinating dies.

I used a piece of paper as a mask to ink blend the sky and sand!
for the sand I used Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo. then splattered the same colors and white acrylic ink on top!
for the sky, I used Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina!

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto some black cardstock and popped it up with foam tape!

life update: I now have a Hot Foil system!
I'm so excited to actually use the new Hot Plates with foil - although when I dry embossed with them earlier, it was SO FUN too!!

my first card uses the new Confetti Hot Foil Plate and Birthday Sentiments Hot Foil Plate with the Birthday Barks stamp set:

hip hop hooray! it's a party!
I stamped all of the images and colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! then I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.

I used Confetti Hot Plate with some Prism foil on white cardstock.
then I Distress Inks in Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina to ink blend the background of the card over the confetti!

then I used Birthday Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and some white foil to do the sentiment onto vellum! I used the A7 Frames & Banners die set to die cut out the phrase!

my second card uses the new Paw Prints and Birthday Sentiments Hot Foil Plates.

so cute, I know!
I used the Slimline Frames & Portholes die set for the base of the card. and then used the little square cut outs from the Slimline Frames & Windows die set to create each little rainbow scene!

 

I stamped the images from Newton's Antics and Newton Loves Boxes and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I also used the coordinating dies for these!

 

 

I used gold for the Paw Prints Hot Foil and then white for the Birthday Sentiments Hot Foil. again, I used the A7 Frames & Banners die set to die cut out the sentiment!
