his face just cracks me up!! ha - he is NOT amused! lol!

I used Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers, Blueprint Sketch and Wilted Violet to ink blend the background!

all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Clear Real Brush Markers and then popped up with foam tape!

so fun! I also splattered some water on the background to add some texture!

my second card uses the new Newton's Picnic stamp set!

and I also added an image from Newton's Thanksgiving!! ha!

OMG - super stuffed Newton, combined with the feet sticking out of the picnic basket just makes me laugh! ha!

I used the Land Borders Dies for the grass and hills! and the Sunscape Stencil for the sun set!  I did some ink blending with Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed for the sky, and Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the grass!

I finished off the card with white embossing paste through the Cloudy Sky Stencil, too!

this new collections made me laugh for days! I am in LOVE with these phrases!!! and that shaker die - swoon! SO cool!

I decided to make a layout of my kitten Phoenix today!

this was so fun to make!

I started by using some white embossing paste and the new stencil over a gesso-ed piece of white cardstock!

once it was dry, I added watercolor in Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks over the embossing paste, LOVE that look!

I also stamped various phrases around the photos and titles! that little kitty face with the whiskers image is my favorite!!

ha!

the title I used is "purr-fect priorities" because he's always asleep and cute! lol!

I also die cut the 'meow' phrase and stitched it on with my sewing machine!

love how this came out!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #54 - Perfect for Parties

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

yay!

how adorable is this challenge! I love how it's asking us to stretch our stamps and dies into something other than a card! gotta flex those creative muscles!! lol!

I decided to make some decorative straws in honor of my son 'graduating' 5th grade, and moving to middle school in the fall! *sniff sniff*
so that was theme I was going with here! a little bit of 'the sky's the limit' 'you can do anything' theme! ha!

love how they came out!
I used a combination of the Stitched Cloud Frames and the Outside In Stitched Cloud Stackables dies to create the base! then I used my sewing machine to stitch the layers of papers and vellum together! LOOOOVE that dimension!

I combined the sentiment from one of my most used and loved stamp sets: Party Animal with the new Fancy Folded Banners Die Set!

and that cute paper airplane (perfect for a school-themed 'kind of' graduation feel, right?!) is from the adorable Plane and Simple stamp set!
I added the blue colors with watercolor-y Blueprint Sketch and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Inks! soooooo pretty!!!! love that color combination!

I really can't WAIT for you to play along! you could win a $25 gift certificate to Lawn Fawn!!!!
enjoy!

do your own sting!

ok guys...this card CRACKS ME UP!! i saw the sentiment on Pinterest and HAD to make it into a card!!
this card is up on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog, so be sure to check it out there!

fun, right?!
ha!
enjoy!
