today I have this card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
the current theme is all about autumn, and I couldn't resist using these cute squirrels again!

I stamped the images from Let's Play, Critters in the 'Burbs, Into the Woods, Happy Hugs, Let's Go Nuts and colored them all with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I kept the colors in pinks, reds, and corals!

I used Distress Inks in Pickled Raspberry, Seedless Preserves and Worn Lipstick to splatter the color on top of those trees!
the background of the card is the gorgeous White Woodgrain Cardstock. love that subtle texture, especially for a fall card!

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto black cardstock and then popped it up with foam tape.

Simon Says Stamptember 2022 + Newton's Nook Designs

 yahoooo - it's time to celebrate an awesome, unique and totally exclusive Newton's Nook Designs stamp set with Simon Says Stamp!

I just LOVE this stamp set!! it's SO cute, and funny and perfect for the fall, thanksgiving season! Can you guess which images is my favorite!? hint: I actually didn't use it on my card! ha!! too many good choices!

I stamped and colored everything with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. then i fussy cut it all out and popped the cute sleeping puppy and the blanket!
I couldn't resist coloring the couch in the warm pinks! so fun!

for the background, I used Hills & Grass stencil as a mask to create the wispy-background! then I used the  Falling Leaves Stencil with Distress Inks in Ripe Persimmon, Squeezed Lemonade and Picked Raspberry. then I splattered some white acrylic ink and gold ink on top!

thanksgiving themed layout

hello!

today I have a layout up on the Newton's Nook blog!
it uses the new Autumn Paper pad, but on a scrapbook page!

I super LOVE the colors!
I used the Falling Leaves stencil and some white embossing paste on the background. then once it was dry, I did lots of watercoloring!! i set that aside to dry, too.

I definitely channeled the colors of traditional fall for this! I die cut out lots of leaves with the Autumn Leaves Die Set! I also die cut the leaves from vellum for some extra texture. I also sprinkled in some leaf stickers from my stash!

lastly, I used my sewing machine to stitch on the sentiment! easy peasy!

so fun, and so awesome! ha!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #133 - Awesome Autumn

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

awwww, I am so in love with fall themed cards! and I can't wait to see what everyone makes!
I used a bunch of stamp sets for my card!

what fun, right? lol!
I used the super cute squirrels from Let's Go Nuts and Happy Hugs! some of the leaves are from You Autumn Know, and the other leaves and the branches, are form A Bug Deal. all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out with the coordinating dies.

 

I used Distress Inks in various sunset-inspired colors (Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves and Dried Marigold) to create the background. Then I splattered some water and white acrylic ink on top.

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto a strip of black cardstock.

Get Cracking on Christmas - Nutcrackers

hello!!!

ok, let's get onto my card!
I used the super cute Nutcrackers stamp set from Newton's Nook! love these guys!

so cute!

I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
I also used the coordinating dies for the sentiment! i'm just singing it along in my head right now! ha!

I used Distress Inks in Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles to ink blend in the top left corner. then I used the same colors and the Music Stencil for a subtle tone-on-tone background!

I also used the Deco Foil Duo Gel and the Holiday Foliage stencil. once it was dry, I used flock in light and dark green! because what's better than some flock on a christmas card?! lol!! I really love that idea !

Newton's Nook Designs - Halloween Inspiration Week 2022

This week Newton's Nook Designs is getting ready for Halloween with a fun Inspiration week! All week the NND Design Team will be sharing inspiration using some of their favorite Halloween products to get you in the mood for tricks and treats! Check out what I created today and don't forget to check the NND Blog each day this week for more fun inspiration!

for my card, I combined images from both Newton's Boo-tiful Night and Pug-kin!

all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out! I couldn't resist coloring the pumpkins in various shades of pinks and oranges!

I used Distress Oxide Inks in Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, Dried Marigold and Tattered Rose. then I used the new Jack-o-lantern Stencil Set and some white embossing paste to add subtle tone-on-tone texture! so fun!

lastly, I heat embossed the sentiment in white on black cardstock, and then fussy cut around it and popped it up with foam tape!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #132 - Color Inspiration

happy Monday!

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

I love a color inspiration, and everyone knows, I'm ALLLLL about rainbows! so this was right up my alley!

what fun, right? lol!
I used the mice from Really High Five, Love Poems and Bubbles of Joy! then I colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut them out! the boat is from the Smooth Sailing stamp set!

 

I did sooooo much Distress Ink blending! lol!! I used all the rainbow colors i could for the backrground die cut with the Sunburst Backdrop die! sooooo cool in rainbow colors!! and I used purples and blues for the ocean waves that were die cut with the Stitched Wave Borders.

 

and then I did allll the splattering! I splattered in white acrylic ink, water and ink color! soooo fun!! and so messy - I love it! LOL

the sentiment is also from Bubbles of Joy and was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock and the die cut out with the Fancy Wavy Banners! I heat emboss it in white, and also heat emboss the rest of the sentiment in white onto some Blue Jay Cardstock.

a very fall card

hello there!
today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog, and I hope it gets you feeling the fall vibes!

I started by heat embossing the Fall Roundabout Stamp Set onto some white cardstock, in a column, on top of each other. then I used Distress Inks in Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold and ink blended from top to bottom to create the gradient change of colors!

then I used the leaf dies from the Autumn Leaves Die Set and the Flower Trio Die Set and die cut them out in a row on top of each other on a narrow panel of white cardstock. then I used foam tape on the panel to pop it up!

once it was attached, I tied some twine along the top and attached some additional leaves that were die cut with newspaper print vellum!
I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto some grey cardstock. and then I die cut it out with the Banner Trio Die Set!
