hi again!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog - and we've got baby fever over there! ha!
the current challenge is all about babies and celebrating Kelly Marie's new bundle of joy!
for my card, I created this sweet line of laundry!
I used the images from Little Bundle and colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! once everything was dry, I fussy cut them out!
I just love those little birds, I colored them like robins!
I colored all of the clothing in a rainbow order - offffffffff course I did! ha!
when I 'strung the clothes on the line', I added some foam tape the bottom parts, so the top of the clothing was stitched on and flat, and the bottom is popped up! love that dimension!
I used Distress Oxide Inks to ink blend the background in Seedless Preserves and Milled Lavendar. then I splattered some water on top!
I colored all of the clouds from Starry Backdrops and glued them to create a 'sky'.
be sure to check this card out on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog, and to play along with this special challenge! :)
enjoy!

forecast: blue skies ahead!
hello there!
today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog, and it's all about that optimistic future! lol!
I just love it!
I stamped and colored all of my images from Umbrella Pals and then colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! once they were dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out! and of course...you know I couldn't resist adding a nod to rainbows with how I colored them! lol!
for the background, I die cut out the rectangle from the Frames & Flags Die Set, and used the cardstock as a stencil to ink blend my sky! I used Distress Inks in Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers! then I splattered some water on top!
I also added some texture with white embossing paste, and the Cloudy Sky Stencil!
finally, I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto some black cardstock, and popped it up with foam tape!
hope this card made you smile!
be sure to check it out on the Newton's Nook Designs blog, too!
enjoy!

I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut them out!
the paintbrush is from the First Day of School! look how cute that bee is holding the brush!! ha!!
I did actually watercolor the background with my Altenew watercolors! then, once it was dry, I used some white embossing paste and an older Vicki Boutin honeycomb stencil!
the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto a strip of black cardstock. I used a phrase from the Don't Worry, and I altered the 'bee' word with letters from the Tiny Letterings stamp set!

my card today uses some watercoloring with Distress Inks!
I love how this came out!
I used Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers to create the watercolored background!
I smooched the watercolor onto my Kraft Mat and then spritzed with water. then I used a big brush to add the color in a big wash on the top right hand side of my card front.
I used all the colors, from darkest to lightest! once it was dry, I added a second layer of the same colors in the same area, to increase the vibrancy!
I also used the Bold Blooms Stencil and some white embossing paste to add some texture to the bottom left corner of the card!
all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
I finished by adding some glitter to the hummingbird to make him shine!! LOVE that little guy!
