welcome to day 2 of Newton's Nook Designs July release and 6 year birthday bash!
hold on to your hats, people!! this release is EPIC!
oh how I love all of these new stamps, stencils and dies!! just wait until you see it all! but in the mean time, check out what we're working with today: Newton’s Perfect Wave and Scuba Newton + coordinating Dies.
you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on July 19th, right here!
my first card uses the Newton's Perfect Wave card, as well ash the new Hibiscus Stencil Set!
this was so fun to make!
I started by using Distress Inks in Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch and Wilted Violet to create the big wave! then I used the new Hibiscus Stencil set to create the white on white texture with white embossing paste!
then I used some white acrylic paint and a dry brush to add the waves (thank you Kelly Latevola for that FUN tip!!)
I also heat embossed the sentiment in black onto vellum that I die cut using the awesome Speech Bubbles Die Set!
my second card uses the adorable and COOL Scuba Newton stamp set! I love it so much!!
I used Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch Distress Inks to ink blend that background. then I splattered some water on it to look like bubbles and the sea!
all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out with the coordinating dies!
I also pupped up the Newton image so he stood out more! love this so much!
