my card uses some old and new products together!

 

this time, there are no cute little images! ha! I used the adorable Balloon Shaker die set! I used Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold and Squeezed Lemonade to add color to the sides and inside the shaker portion!

I used the new Bright Basics paper pad to cut my A2 Card Layout die from. then I used Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Ink to add some blue color to the white polka dots on the paper! and I just love the tone-on-tone colors for the background!

 

I finished the card off by adding some texture with the Cloudy Sky Stencil and some white embossing paste. and the sentiment from Birthday Essentials was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock.

my card uses some old and new products together!

I colored the images from the Newton's Bright Birthday stamp set with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
I loooooove that shade of blue in the new Bright Basics Paper Pad, too!

I used the new paper pad and die cut out the large banner shape! I splattered some white acrylic ink on top to add to the party feel! I also die cut a second banner from vellum, and popped up the patterned paper banner on top.

 

under the banner, I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto black cardstock and used the smallest rectangle in the set for the tab!

my card uses some old and new products together!

 

I colored the images from the Tulips and Garden Mice stamp sets with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
I love the soft, warm pinks with the crisp, cool greens and yellows! I also splattered some white acrylic ink on top of the flower images.

I die cut out the frame with the new Pastel Basics paper pad. and that green is soooo pretty! I ink blended inside the windows of the frame with Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron and Squeezed Lemonade.

 

I used the same colors of Distress Inks to add color to the little tag that was die cut from white cardstock, and then finished the card off with some natural twine!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #169 - Inspired by...

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

yay!    

it's officially my favorite challenge time!
what better way to use your Lawn Fawn stamps, than by being inspired by your favorite songs, movies or books!

I was inspired by my all-time favorite book series: A Court of Thorns and Roses! LOOOOOOVE that series (and ALL of Sarah J Maas' books!)
I die cut out the mountains with the Stitched Mountains from vellum. then I die cut it and the Black Licorice Cardstock with a large circle die. I machine stitched the vellum mountains on top.

 

I stamped the sentiment using Milo's ABCs on some Noble Fir cardstock and heat embossed it in white. I hand cut the top banner, and then die cut the bottom word with the Fancy Wavy Banners.

 

I die cut out the stars with the Full Moon dies and then added some shine and sparkle with the Chunky Glitter!
for the background, I used the Cloudy Stencil and some Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Ink to create the soft, tone-on-tone sky.
I finished it off by splattering some White Acrylic ink on top.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #168 - All Things Birthday

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

yay! 

 

birthday cards are so fun, and happy to make! they're one of my favorite things to make for cards!

I stamped the images from Year Thirteen and Let's Roll. all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out. I also added some details with a white gel pen! and of course I had to add some balloons in bright colors! I just love adding balloons to birthday cards!

 

 

for the background of the card, I used Distress Oxide Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio. then I used the Brick Stencil and the same colors but with more pressure to add some tone-on-tone colors and texture.

 

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto black cardstock. I popped up all of the little dumplings and the sentiment!
