penguin pile!

hello there!
today I have this sweet wintery card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!

I am in love with these funny and cute penguins from the Penguin Pile stamp set!
I stamped and colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!

then I used the Speech Bubbles Die Set with some white cardstock and used Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold to add color!
then I heat embossed the sentiment in white.

I die cut out some snowy banks with the Land Borders and Sea Borders Die Sets. I ink blended some water with Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina! then I used the Petite Snow Stencil and white embossing paste to add texture to everything!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 116 - Let's Celebrate

happy Monday! and happy new year!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

yay! 

there's nothing more fun than some celebratory cards! and this challenge is the perfect way to get in the spirit!

 

I love that taco, especially when paired with the avocado cuties! so fun and cute! I stamped the images from Year Nine, Let's Toast, Party Animal and Really High Five! love combining these images together! so seamless!

 

I used Distress Oxide Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina over white cardstock. then I used the Brick Stencil and the same colors (but with more pressure) to add the tone-on-tone texture!

 

lastly, I heat embossed in white, onto some Black Licorice Cardstock that was die cut with the Fancy Wavy Banners. the sentiment is from the Party Animal stamp set.

scent with love!

well hello there!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog, and bonus: a video on my youtube channel!

I used the adorable new Scent with Love and Scent with Love Add-on stamps and dies! they were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out with the coordinating dies! I decided to color the adorable skunks in non-traditional colors, and I love the pinks and beiges together!

the balloon is from Outside In Stitched Balloon Stackables, and I used Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed and Fossilized Amber Distress Inks to add the color. then I used the Lots of Love Backgrounds Stencils and the same colors, but with more pressure on the blending tool, to add the tone-on-tone color!

I also used Black Soot to add color to every other stripe from the Simple Stripes: Diagonal die cut pieces! I splattered white acrylic ink, water and ink color onto the stripes, too!

let it snow + woodgrain

hi there!
today I have this snowy card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

I was inspired by the current challenge - which is a photo inspiration! the bottom left photo totally inspired this card for me! I love the dark woodgrains with the bright white contrast!
I started with a white card front that I ink blended with Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Inks. then I stamped the Woodgrain Backdrops on top! once that was all dry, I splattered some super shiny gold drops all over! swoon!

I set that aside to dry, and then heat embossed the sentiment from Snowy Backdrops in white onto some vellum that was die cut with the Fancy Wavy Banners! looooove white on vellum!
Then, once everything was dry, I used the Snowflake Trio Stencil and some white embossing paste to add extra texture to the woodgrain!

I finished off the card with a scattering of sequins!

Heffy Doodle and Newton's Nook Designs Collaboration Blog Hop 2021

Welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Newton's Nook Designs Collaboration Blog Hop!
Design Team members from both companies are sharing inspiration using products from both companies!

I'm so excited to be participating in the Heffy Doodle and Newton's Nook Designs Collaboration!

I created two cards for this event!
my first one is a Christmas card, because I can't stop making them! lol!

I used the ADORABLE Prehistoric Christmas stamps and dies from Newton's Nook Designs! I colored all of the images in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. to create the background, I die cut out some hills with the Land Borders dies and the Sea Borders dies from white cardstock. then used the Twinkle Twinkle Stencil from Heffy Doodle and some sparkly embossing paste for the sky!

then I die cut out some of the Stitched Dino Print dies and added some light grey shading to the edge of one side of the prints. I also added some chunky glitter in the same area! made me think of footprints in the freshly fallen snow!

 

I love how this card came out, and how the colors pop!

my second card is not Christmas, and it's just as cute!
I used the Fluffy Puffy Unicorn stamps from Heffy Doodle - and I'm in LOVE! sooo cute!

I also used the Slimline Frames & Portholes Dies to make the slimline card!
I did lots of ink blending with Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Inks and the Clouds Stencil!

I used the sentiment from Believe in Unicorns onto some vellum that was die cut with the Banner Trio Die Set.

lastly, I used the Cascading Stars Stencil with some grey ink on the card base.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #115 - Inspiration Board

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
and this is the last one of the YEAR!!! eeeeep!

oh there is so much inspiration to be found here!!
I was inspired by the bottom right photo for my set of cards!
I made these cards for my little menn's teachers!

I started by making lots of backgrounds with alcohol inks! it's SO fun! and easy - bonus!! the perfect combo when mass producing cards! ha!

once the backgrounds were dry, I used the Snowflake Backgrounds Stencils and some white embossing paste to add texture!

 

I also die cut out all of the banners with Vellum and the Fancy Wavy Banners Die Set! then I heat embossed the sentiment from the Snowy Backdrops stamp set!

all of the panels were added to a card base of Fog Cardstock!
