Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #211 - Sparkle and Shine

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

what a fun and exciting mood board!

so fun!
I am in looooooove with this mood board and all of the sparkle, shine and rainbows!!

I did lots of die cutting and not one stamped image - crazy! lol
I started by die cutting the camera with the Magic Iris Camera Add-on from Black Licorice, Fog, and Narwhal cardstock.
I also die cut out the rim around the camera lens with the Magic Iris Camera Pull-tab Add-on from Black cardstock and then turned it into a shaker card! what fun!

 

I used the Stickles Glitter Gel - Dark Matter for the middle part of the camera! I LOOOOOOOVE that happy, bright color!
for the shaker part, I used various sizes and colors of sequins in my stash. then I also added some sequins to the glitter part of the camera.

I also die cut out the Scripty Cheers die to add to the festive spirit!
the sentiment is from Yeti or Not and was heat embossed in gold to add to the gold foil in the paper on the card base, which is from the All the Sparkles Petite Paper Pack.

hello and happy December!
today I have a fun, whimsical card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!

so great, ha!
I needed to make a card for a friend this holiday season with a fun nod to drinks this season, and I just LOVE this set! the puns are my favorite and it's such a fun spin on the holiday spirit! lol!

I stamped all of the images from Christmas Cocktails and then used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color them in!
I also added some details with a white gel pen. then I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!

for the background, I did some ink blending with Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral and Dried Marigold Distress Inks. then I used the Plaid Stencil Set and some white embossing paste to add some texture! plus I love the look of plaid for holiday cards! I think it adds a warm and cozy vibe!


the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock then fussy cut it out! I also popped it up with foam tape. then I splattered some black ink at the bottom of the card, too!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #210 - Coffee, Tea and Treats

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

this challenge really stretched my skills! lol
for some reason, it was a struggle!

this challenge has something for everyone!

first things first, I didn't color any stamped images for this card! crazy!
but those cure cups from the Lovely Latte set were too cute to pass up!
I die cut out the cups using papers from the Sherbet Pack Cardstock and the Black Licorice cardstock.

I also used Picked Raspberry and Mowed Lawn for the edges of the cups to add some subtle shading.
then I die cut out some of the leaves from the Stitched Poinsettia set using vellum to layer behind the cups and add some festiveness.

 

for the background, I used the Simple Stripes: Diagonal for the background by using both white cardstock and Fog cardstock.
and finally, the sentiment is from Love You a Latte. it was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock and then I fussy cut it out.

I finished it off with a sprinkling of tiny black splatters!

hello there!
happy Saturday!
today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawn blog - and bonus content alert! I made a video!

I just love making cards with puns!

and I had the fun idea to alter the new Giant Be Merry die set to say: Bee Merry! lol!! so of course it was time to get the bees out and colored!

I stamped and colored the images from Hive Five, You're a Keeper, Furry and Bright, Joy to All and Cheesy Christmas. then I colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once they were dry, I added details with a white gel pen and then die cut *most* of the images with the coordinating dies.
I fussy cut around the reindeer antlers from Cheesy Christmas, and then added them to the bees! so fun and festive!

then I die cut out the Giant Be Merry sentiment two times from white cardstock. I did some ink blending with Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold Distress Oxide Inks. then I fussy cut around the 2nd e and added it with glue to the 1st e to create the pun!

I die cut out the Pull 'n Slide Surprise parts of the card from the Gleeful Gradients Petite Paper Pad.
the interactive portion of this die is SO easy to put together! once it was made, I was able to do the really fun part - decorate with my images!

I fussy cut out the top of the tree from Joy to All and added it to the top of the bee hive! then I added the tree on top to mimic a christmas tree! love it so much - I think it's my favorite part of the card! so fun!

then I heat embossed the sentiment from You're a Keeper in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock, it was then die cut with the banner and attached to the front of the card. 

the card base is made from the pink stripes from the Really Rainbow Petite Paper Pad.

season's tweetings winter card

today I have this fun, festive card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
the current challenge is critters and the holidays, and I couldn't resist making a card with the adorable birds!

I stamped and colored the images from Winter Birds, Winter Birds Add-on and Flappy Holiday with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. then I added some details with a white gel pen and one the images were all dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.

for the background, I used the Birch Tree Stencils and some Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Ink to ink blend a subtle tree background. then I used the new Snowflakes Stencil with some white embossing ink to add the snowy texture.

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock and then die cut with the Stitched Sentiment Banners. I also die cut some of the snowy hills with the Stitched Hillside Borders. I really LOVE the pops of reds and greens against the neutral background.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #209 - Critter Holidays

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

I had so much fun coloring up these beautiful bats!

so fun!
what's better than some Lawn Fawn critters and the holidays? so fun!

I stamped the images from Cozy Cats, Cozy Cats Christmas Add-on and Ready, Set, Snow and then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I also added some details with a white gel pen, and once everything was dry, I die cut them out with their coordinating dies.

I used white woodgrain cardstock as the card base. and then behind it, I used a piece of cardstock from Candy Cane Lane. LOVE that paper pack! then I sprinkled some gold ink around the card - to bring in the gold from the cardstock and add a touch of whimsy!

 

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock and then die cut it out with the Stitched Sentiment Banners.
